He wants me dead

Tyler had a foreboding feeling that he could die in this world. Tyler had seen monsters before, but being this close to one sent shivers down his spine.

"This guy really wants me to die....." Tyler said "calmly", still looking up at the giant insect monster that looked down at him.

Having felt like they had maintained the stare stale mate long enough, he lowered his gaze as a helpless smile rose on his lips for a moment. Behind that smile though, was an indescribable fear! He had the lowest rank and no weapon. He was like a sitting duck in a pot of hot soup! His heart sank and his body stiffened in fright!

"I don't know who you are Castiel, but I swear if we meet someday, I'll tear you to shreds!"

The helpless smile on his face instantly disappeared and he lost his composure completely, breaking into a run while screaming!

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The insect monster instantly raised its giant beetle-like outer wings and inflated its abdomen while releasing a very unpleasant rage-filled squeal!

Looking back, Tyler noticed that the bug monster was enraged! Its eyes had turned red, its outer wings were raised to increase its intimidating size, and the sound it was making made the very earth shake! Fortunately, he was able to put some distance between him and the bug creature.

"What the hell with its appearance! When you were being created couldn't you decide between being a freakin' housefly or a dung beetle?!"

Even before Tyler could sigh in relief at the distance he had run, a giant hairy bug leg fell from above, directly aimed to squash him! Luckily, he was able to dodge it by the skin of his teeth, its prickly hairs brushing upon Tyler's whole body.

"Pu pu.....pu!"

Tyler sput with all his might as some had entered into his mouth. In his whole life, this probably had to be the most disgusting thing he had gone through! Even if his guts were already clenching and threatening to make him puke, Tyler couldn't afford to. He still had to run for his life!

Once again, he managed to get away from the giant beetle housefly bug. However, only one movement of the bug monster's leg breached the distance, shattering all his hopes.

His efforts felt like a waste!

He was like an insect struggling to run from a human's foot! No matter how fast or how far he ran, the foot would always come out of nowhere and threaten to squash him on the ground.

-Wait that's not right....are our roles reversed?

"Ahh...this is pointless!" Tyle suddenly stopped and stared at the giant insect straight in the eye.

His panic had turned into an eerie calmness and his heart's beats became slower and heavier!

"I'm supposed to be the one chasing you, you f*cking insect!!!!!"

Yes, this statement sounded funny given their difference in size but Tyler at least had his devil flame.

Clenching the empty air ahead of him, a red flame dagger materialized in his fist.

Without sparing a moment, he hurled the flame dagger directly at the bug monster's eyes.

Time seemed to move slowly as Tyler watched the dagger spin and fly toward the monster. It landed square on one of its hexagonal eyes and black blood splurted! The flame dagger itself dissipated into the air.

Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A deafening cry filled the air as the bug monster stumbled back. Its six legs heavily planted holes in the ground in succession.

Before Tyler could rejoice, he witnessed a scene that made his heart sink! The injured eye recovered at a fast rate and soon, it looked like it hadn't been injured at all.

It stopped moving and glared at Tyler with rage burning in its eyes!

Screeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another cry sounded but this one was especially filled with the bug monster's rage!

SNAP! SNAP!

Two loud snaps came from the monster's mandibles before it charged at Tyler!

Although Tyler was startled, the calm in his emerald green eyes returned and a smirk curved up its lips.

Facing this gargantuan monster, Tyler also charged in, conjuring another flame dagger in his palm which he gripped tightly.

BOOM! BOOM!

Tyler dodged two of the monster's heavy front legs which made the ground tremble on landing.

"It's a rank G- beast! I should be able to defeat it!"

When the bug monster showed up, Tyler lost his reasoning because of its frightening appearance. But now he realised he didn't feel any oppressive aura coming from the bug. Which meant he was stronger than it!

THUMP!

He dodged another of the monster's legs and swiftly made his way to the side, slicing it in the process.

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The monster let out a pained cry once again!

Although its exoskeleton looked hard and sturdy, Tyler's flame dagger was able to slice through it effortlessly.

However, repairs were done in the blink of an eye and the monster resumed its stamping assault on the Tyler.

Slice! Slice! Slice!

Tyler made three consecutive slices on the monster's leg causing it to shriek painfully.

"Perfect!"

He had made a wound that would take some time to recover. As the monster was recovering, an opening had been made for Tyler. Immediately, he dashed to the monster's underside and hurled his flame dagger at its thorax, specifically the point where all six of its disgusting legs attached.

SPLUT!!!!!

SCREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The monster let out the most agonizing shriek as it swayed and fell dead.

THUMP!!!

Tyler looked at the monster, his smirk still plastered on his face. His chest was heaving up and down and his forehead was drenched with sweat. He was exhausted.

He had used up all his dark energy in that last flame dagger throw. But he had finished off the monster at last!

"Hehehe....haha. hahahahaha" He burst into wanton laughter and gazed at the sky, " Is that all you've got old man?!!!!!!!"

His voice was filled with ridicule when he said that.

There was no reply from the voice but a sudden change occurred in the world.

Tyler's pupils shrank to the size of needle holes and his face froze. His heart clenched as he suddenly felt a heavy aura behind him.

"CRAP!"

Slowly turning around, the beautiful lush green vegetation and colorful flowers were burning in a raging fire!

The fire seemed to stretch as far as he could see but it hadn't reached him yet.

In the middle of this fire, a silhouette of a giant lizard creature walked. All Tyler could see were its shadowy figure and slit red eyes that were glaring at him intensely!

-This guy! Don't tell me he really wants to kill me!
