"Popular? Me? Mr. Mo, I don't even know anyone here. How am I popular?" Chen Waan could not believe her ears. Had Mo Yifan gone mad?

"I think he is talking about how you were a hire directly made by my dad. And so now everyone is curious about who you are," Wang Zibo expanded on Mo Yifan's words. Mo Yifan sure was man of few words. No wonder he made people enraged for no reason.

"Jealous," Mo Yifan corrected.

Wang Zibo scratched his head awkwardly. Truth be told, that was truly the word he should have used. His dad had been in this field for twenty five years. And he himself had no idea what he had been doing before that. His dad never talked about that time.

But in all those years, except the first batch of people he personally picked in the beginning, he had never personally chosen anyone. Mo Yifan also went through the trainers in the company before his profile was brought to Wang Zenghao.

She was the only one who had been handpicked by him. By that standards, even he, himself was jealous of her. To think his dad would pay so much attention to an eighteen year old girl was beyond belief.

When his dad had proposed the ridiculous idea of getting her here, just because of one video, he was very skeptical. How could his dad, without evaluating her in any of the areas, get her half way across the globe, just like that? On a whim?

But seeing how much care he was putting in this girl himself, he was convinced that this girl really might have something that they were failing to see. She had been surviving till now. But that could not be said for other people of the company. They were mainly envious of the fact that she was getting so much attention from the boss himself.

He and Mo Yifan, both still had this thought in their mind that the girl actually might have piqued Wang Zenghao's interest for wrong reasons. But he could not imagine his own dad with a teen, and her becoming his step mom in future. They both were still suspicious of their frequent meetings together.

If Wang Zenghao's own son was speculating something this dirty, how could other people not? Everyone had only one thought, she had managed to climb into the director's bed.

Anyway, if they were able to secure any evidence as such, they would be able to kick the girl out. The person who was being feared for taking everyone's resources was Chen Waan.

The elevator had finally reached the basement of the building. As it opened, Chen Waan could see all the luxury cars in there, BMWs, Porsches, etc. The three walked to their car silently. The atmosphere had suddenly become heavy for no reason.

Human beings had this habit of making assumptions, without talking to each other. They all had made impressions of each other too, without confirming. Thus, all this misunderstanding was happening.

"Ah! By the way, why did you guys not go home directly from the shoot? You said I was late, were you guys waiting for me?" Chen Waan broke the silence.

"No, we came back from the shoot to pick up a few scripts. Fan Fan has been filming a few commercial ads and variety shows but we think it is time to debut him in acting. We heard that you were finishing soon, so we waited about… ouch," Wang Zibo was explaining it to Chen Waan when Mo Yifan stuck his manager's leg with his shoes. Who wanted her to know that he made him wait for two hours because he wanted to go home together? Would that not create a misunderstanding?

He just wanted to start his language lessons as soon as possible. He thought it would be better to learn a few things on the way rather than keep her awake at home. She had worked for about fifteen hours already.

Chen Waan glanced at them curiously. She did not know Mo Yifan was playful types. What were they doing?

"A… anyway, since you were going to start my language lessons today and our schedule did not match at all, I was thinking if you could teach me something now?" Mo Yifan coughed and continued the conversation.

"Oh," Chen Waan replied. How would she explain to this guy that she was exhausted beyond words? But then again, she was definitely less stressed than with Tuo Tuo definitely. She nodded and took out a notebook she had prepared.

"Uhh… I think we shall first start with Korean. I know your English is pretty good already. But if you want more conversation practice, we can just normally talk in English, okay?" she ticked a few things in her notebook.

"I heard that you are very popular in South Korea and Japan, so I would choose those two. Despite having different roots, the three modern languages as they are now have quite a few similarities in different aspects, so it might be easier to pick those two up," she explained her choice.

"Okay. I know a few basics in them both. I will go with whatever you say," Mo Yifan readily agreed. He scooted closer to her to see what was in the notebook.

Wang Zibo looked at the two from behind. The tall guy, who was wearing a blanket on himself seemed pretty excited while the slim girl, who was wearing a warm coat on her training clothes, was at ease. It was such a harmonious picture that he could not help but take out his phone and click a picture.

A sudden realization made Wang Zibo look around. They were in the parking basement and although no external person was allowed in here, there were the people they had just discussed. He scouted the area but no one was present. He heaved a sigh of relief and continued towards the car.

In the corner, in one of the cars, a person was sitting with an expensive camera in his hand, clicking close shots of the couple. This was going to be the scandal of the decade, Mo Yifan with a mere trainee! All that was needed now was more compelling evidence regarding this.

Shoutout to Poppy_BiBi who pointed out that Korean and Japanese are not derived from Chinese. That is absolutely correct and I stand corrected. I apologize for misinformation! The corresponding paragraph has been corrected.
