As for the third volume of Heaven's Scroll, it remains blank till this day. Su Han had no idea what was in it, and the old Taoist didn't know either, only saying that when the opportunity arises, Su Han would come to know.
One of the purposes of leaving the old Taoist this time was to search for this very opportunity.
Su Han sat cross-legged on the bed, eyes closed, allowing his mind and body to sink into complete tranquility, as if he had entered a mysterious space, pure and clear, devoid of any stray thoughts.
At this moment, a fiery red sports car barged into the Qiao Family courtyard, ramming its way through. The security guards at the gate seemed to have grown accustomed to this, no longer surprised they called out, "The second miss is back!"
Qiao Yuman got out of the car, her boots clinking loudly, her clothes somewhat unconventional. According to her, this was called 'fashionable', something ordinary people wouldn't understand.
She stepped out of the car, humming a tune as she entered the house, quickly detecting an unusual scent in the air. Twisting a purple lock of hair around her finger beside her ear, her eyes were mischievous like a playful sprite, full of slyness.
"Aunt Wu," Qiao Yuman's voice was soft and sweet, enough to make one's bones melt upon hearing it. Seeing Aunt Wu approach, she bounced over and clung to her hand, cooing like a spoiled child, "What's for dinner tonight?"
Aunt Wu's face was full of indulgence, even though the second miss was endlessly mischievous, she truly loved Qiao Yuman as her own granddaughter, "Whatever you want to eat, I'll make it for you."
"Hee hee, Aunt Wu, you're the best!" Qiao Yuman giggled, her eyes as curved as crescent moons, bewitchingly beautiful.
She twitched her nose, then in a hushed voice said, "Aunt Wu, why do I feel like the atmosphere at home is a bit off?"
Aunt Wu didn't say anything but glanced upstairs. Qiao Yuman, the clever girl, instantly understood, let go of Aunt Wu's hand, and immediately dashed upstairs, barging into Qiao Yushan's room.
"Sis, I'm back!" Qiao Yuman knocked lightly on the door, turned the knob, and pushed her way in, giggling, ready to tease her older sister, but then heard a faint sob coming from inside.
Qiao Yuman rushed in and saw Qiao Yushan with red eyes, a face full of grievance, and immediately became anxious, "Sis, what happened? Who bullied you? I'll avenge you!"
Seeing her younger sister so worried and willing to take revenge for her, Qiao Yushan felt a bitter mix of grievance and touched, shaking her head with a wry smile, "It was Grandpa who scolded me, do you dare take revenge?"
Hearing it was their Grandpa, Qiao Yuman's face fell. Even with a hundred bouts of courage, she wouldn't dare!
A thought struck her. Their Grandpa had always doted on the two Qiao sisters. Why would he scold her sister?
Knowing her younger sister was puzzled, Qiao Yushan could only shake her head and explain the matter to her. As soon as she finished, Qiao Yuman leaped up.
"Brother-in-law? I have a brother-in-law? What a joke!" Qiao Yuman's eyes widened in disbelief, as if she had heard the funniest thing, "He hasn't graduated from college? And he got a job in our family's hospital through connections? You're going to marry someone like him? I don't agree!"
Her own sister was like a princess; she had been her role model and idol since childhood. To let someone who hadn't graduated from university and had to pull strings just to find a job become her brother-in-law?
Not to mention Qiao Yushan, even she, the younger aunt, wouldn't agree!
Pah! What younger aunt? Impossible!
Qiao Yushan felt helpless, simply shaking her head. She knew very well that once Grandpa had made up his mind, no one could change it. This was the only thing Grandpa had ever asked of her, and she didn't even know why.
Before she could speak, Qiao Yuman had already displayed an indignant face, huffing like a little leopardess about to explode, and stormed out of Qiao Yushan's room, "Sis, don't be afraid, I'll teach him a lesson for you!"
She left Qiao Yushan's room in a huff, heading straight for Su Han's room, looking as if she was radiating flames fierce enough to burn Su Han alive!
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Qiao Yuman, without any courtesy, knocked forcefully on the door, "Brother-in-law! Brother-in-law! Open the door quickly!"
Inside the room, Su Han had already heard the commotion caused by Qiao Yuman. He suppressed his qi, walked over to open the door, and seeing a girl that looked a bit like Qiao Yushan, he knew it was Qiao Yuman.
The Qiao sisters were known as the conjoined lotuses of the Qiao Family, referred to as the Big and Little Qiao, both possessing beauty to an extreme degree. However, while Qiao Yushan was mature and steady, elegant and dignified, Qiao Yuman was more like a little witch, clever and mischievous, brimming with intelligence.
"I haven't married your sister yet, so you can just call me by my name." When he heard the term brother-in-law, Su Han felt more embarrassed than when Wu's mother called him son-in-law and thus he tried to explain.
But to Qiao Yuman, it didn't mean that at all.
"Hmph, I call you brother-in-law to reprimand you! You dream of marrying my sister? Fat chance!" Qiao Yuman thought to herself, but her face blossomed into a smile, like a flower in full bloom, her big eyes curving into crescents, extremely adorable.
"It's only a matter of time! Brother-in-law, you do know who I am, right?" Qiao Yuman deliberately blinked, looking very coquettish, with a hint of slyness in the depths of her eyes, "I'm Yuman. I just found out brother-in-law arrived, so I hurried over to get to know you, hee hee."
"I know, I'm Su Han, just call me by my name." Su Han nodded, having felt the force of Qiao Yuman's knocking, he certainly didn't think this girl had any good intentions in seeking him out.
"Hee hee, brother-in-law, you've just arrived in Tianhai, and you haven't gone out for fun yet, right? My sister is busy with work and has no time, but I do," Qiao Yuman giggled, taking Su Han's hand, "Come on, brother-in-law, I'll take you out for fun, let's go, let's go!"
Without giving Su Han a chance to respond, Qiao Yuman didn't care whether he refused or not, she had to give this guy a good lesson today. Did this toad want to eat swan meat? If she didn't let him see the difference between himself and her sister, how could it work?
Before Su Han could say anything, Qiao Yuman had already pulled him into her fiery red sports car. She slid into the driver's seat, turned to look at Su Han with a mischievous smile, "Brother-in-law, I just got my driver's license, I don't drive well, so you better buckle up."
No sooner had she said this than Qiao Yuman started the car, the accelerator roared as she reversed the car swiftly, drawing an arc, the entire car shook violently, not giving Su Han any time to buckle up.
Just when Qiao Yuman turned her head, hoping to see Su Han's embarrassed and frightened look, she saw him sitting there seriously, steady as Mount Tai, even without a seat belt. He then calmly pulled over the seat belt and clicked it into place, saying indifferently, "No worries, it's fairly steady."
Qiao Yuman snorted inwardly, revealing her little canines in dissatisfaction, but still wore a cute smile on her face. With the engine roaring beneath her foot, she chuckled, "Thank you for the encouragement, brother-in-law, so keep yourself braced!"
