Chapter 1

🎶🎵Sia–Unstoppable🎵🎶

Selene.

The moon shone brightly above them, the metallic silver hue brightened the entire forest. The only sounds were the cawing of some night birds and owls, and the sound of their paws stomping the floor as they ran and the swishing sounds of the winds past their ears.

She winced as the tree branches swiped her open wounds but now wasn't the time to feel pain. The vampires were no longer after them she wondered if that was a good thing or a bad one. Maya ran beside Selene, both navigating the forest in sync, guided by the same primal instincts for survival, which was quite a weird thing given the fact that Selene was an antherion and Maya a werepanther.

Unsure of what was ahead of them they ran head on, into the unknown. Her eyes were beginning to feel heavy from tiredness, Maya's wounds had almost being healed, unlike Selene's which healed at a terribly slow rate. The speed at which they ran coupled with the gashing wound weakened her the more. When they'd gotten to the river bank the last thing she could remember was plunging into it before falling into an abyss of darkness.

"Wake up!" That word kept echoing in her head as a pair of hand kept shaking her back to consciousness. "Wake up!!" Slowly the sounds became more audible with each echo and when it came the third time, she snapped back to reality.

"Ow!" Selene flinched, holding her head tight as she lifted, the smell of wet soil, grasses and moss assaulted her nostrils all at once, earning a do exhale from her. Her heightened senses catching a hint of several foreign scent. All her body ached she felt a slight sting from the cuts she'd gotten from last night's escapade. She could feel it had almost being healed.

"Wake up!! We're being surrounded!!!" A loud shrieking sound accompanied by a growl pierced the air, perturbing the silence that had once loomed. Selene's eyes snapped open, they squinted under the blazing light of the sun. The sun! It was morning already! She tried to block the eye blinding rays as much as she could with her palm. When her eyes had finally adjusted themselves to the light she took away the hand shielding her face, letting her eyes open slowly. Gasping as the silhouettes in front of her morphed into different sizes and shapes. As if out of trance, she'd become aware of her surroundings, noticing they were at the river bank and she sat on wet soil.

She'd also began to make out the people in front of her, recognizing what beings they were. The scent no longer foreign, her heightened senses back to it's full functions. A strong tidal wave of terror washed over her, spine near-rigid the hairs on her skin stood as goosebumps covered every part of her flesh, alert at the impending danger.

Instantly,Selene's wolf lurched into her eyes, canines bared she let out a loud hiss, snarling angrily. Lycanthropes! There were four of them at the front and two at the back.

Remembering she wasn't alone, her head swiveled to the side gazing at Maya before heaving a sigh of relief. She crouched low, ready to attack, revealing razor sharp canines, but her body trembled in fear. She was naked and in that moment Selene remembered she was too since she'd changed into skin.

She crouched low, covering the little she could with her palms. Even though they'd taken an intimidating step to attack, they couldn't. There was no winning against a full pack of lycans, not only were they much stronger, faster and very intimidating, they were all bunch of big bad wolves!

They'd all surrounded them, bodies lowered and chests puffed out, as if daring them to attack. With long canines bared, they snarled their hatred for the werepanther and antherion, their muscles tout with fury.

"Bind them!" A huge bulky male wolf barked out his orders, his eyes narrowing into feral slits.

Before they'd reckoned what their next move was, strong pair of hands grabbed them from behind. Selene bucked and kicked, snarling when she tried to pull away but they were too strong.

Suddenly, a cold metallic object was forced down their necks, she let out a shrill cry as it burned into her flesh, forcing her wolf out of her eyes, her canines retracting. Maya fell to the floor whimpering, her body quivered in agony. She'd realized they'd been collared with silver!

"No!" She cried out. "Take it off!" Feeling void and empty without her wolf. The collar weakening the feral creature that was the entity dwelling beneath her skin.

"Please!" She begged all to no avail.

But the lycans all burst into laughter,as if enjoying their predicament and dismay as she begged to have the collar removed. Those same strong pair of hands that had forced the collar into their necks pushed her head down to the ground.

Selene groaned, trying to push back but was too tired and too weak to. There was no use anyways, the collar had been locked and her wolf had retreated into hiding, even with the vicious beast present, she still couldn't take on six hefty wolves with both their strengths combined, nothing even with Maya's panther present in the fight even if they hadn't used up their strength the other night fighting for freedom.

"Chain them!" That same voice commanded .

Another wolf grabbed both their bhands at the front, chaining them. when they were done they grabbed their hairs from behind, pulling them up with it. Both women winced at the excruciating pain, their chests heaved, both panting whilst they dragged air into their air deprived lungs.

"Go easy on them. They're females for fuck's sake!" The bulky male lycan chafed, disapproving their behavior. Obeying, they hurriedly let go of them only holding the chains the rest lowered their head in respect when he spoke.

"Hand me your shirts." He said again. His brows furrowed and his mouth twisted.

He turned to the two wolves beside him and they hurriedly peeled off their shirts, handing it over to him. He let out a warning growl as he turned to a young wolf that creepily gawked at their naked bodies,

"Cassius, stop staring at them, it's creepy." The wolf nodded, embarrassed, whispering an apology.

He handed the shirts over to the wolves that apparently enjoyed manhandling the females, they snickered as they retrieved the shirts from him, forcing it down on their heads. Selene's nose wrinkled at the stench of sweat coming off the shirt.

Maya whined, scrunching her nose in disgust, attempting to pull the shirt apart but Selene held her hand, shaking her head to tell her it was a bad idea to tear the shirt apart . Enduring the shirt's stench was far more better than having a pack of male wolves ravish their bodies with their eyes, even though the shirts barely reached anywhere.

Seeing how they'd held the bulky male in high esteem, Selene suspected he was their leader but had her doubts since they hadn't called him alpha.

"Are you the alpha?!" She blurted out hurriedly.

"No, antherion. I'm not. But soon, you'd be meeting the alpha."

"Why are we being captured?!" Maya shouted.

"Because, darling you are in our territory. You've entered our forests and you're standing on our soil. And since when did werepanthers and antherions became friends?" He said, flatly.

"We didn't know this place belonged to the lycanthropes. We were just passing through, we mean no harm. Please let us go!" Selene pleaded. Her voice shaky and hoarse.

He made deep throaty growls, " tell that to the alpha. " He turned towards his men, " let's get out of here."

They nodded, pulling on the chains, dragging them away.
