Chapter Thirty-Nine

Spiting the bland taste of her blood in her mouth onto the ground, she snickered, the sarcasm noticeable in her voice.

“It seems you have become much stronger, dear cousin. Not bad for the powerful and Legendary Creature in the Fantasia World.”

Circling the two women but cautious of the roots, Rena placed her sword in front of her face, her stance more of a battle warrior than an attendant.

“But too bad of you to be rejected by your very own people.”

"I have no care what you utter, Rena! I will not let you harm my babe! I will fight you to the end!"

Snapping, she sent another four roots to rush towards Rena, her heart growing heavy from her cynical words.

“Good, good. I appreciate your chivalry!”

Gregariously barking, Rena rushed with lightning sped towards her while cutting the roots in half.

Whispering for numerous balls of air to float in front and around her, Angelique closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she released all of them at the same time towards Rena.
