Beginning

Jason watched from the rooftop as two shady men cornered a young lady into an alley clearly for some evil intentions. It was finally time. He put on his mask and took a leap of faith. With ease, he took out his grappling gun and and shot it at a nearby ledge. He knew very well that even though his newly attained powers could give the strength of a hundred men, he wasn't invincible. His cape billowed in the wind as he swung through the air. After a few seconds, his feet hit the asphalt causing the thug's to divert their attention from the lady to Jason. For a few seconds they just stood there staring each other down until the thieves burst out laughing. Jason wondered why they were laughing, most likely because of his costume, he would have to change that later in order to be taken seriously. Now angry, Jason ran towards the thug's. Using the wall to propel him, he jumped and perform a flying kick right to the face of one of the thug. This sent him right to the floor thereby knocking him out. The other thug, seeing his partner in crime knocked out, cracked his knuckles and then focused on Jason. Jason looked at the thug and it became crystal clear to him he could not win the fight. The monster of a man now staring back at him could beat him to a pulp without even breaking a sweat. He needed an edge over the enemy and that was where his powers would come in. Attempting to activate them, he clenched his fists and shouted at the top of his lungs while lunging to punch the thug in the face. That was embarrassing because it didn't even faze him. Jason muttered a silent uh oh and then proceeded to dodge a punch that would have landed square on his chest. If it wasn't for his quick reflexes, his lungs wouldn't have survived the devastating blow. Because the thug had put a lot of force into the punch, Jason used it to his advantage and tripped him, causing him to fall over. He then spotted a plank of wood sticking out from one of the trash cans in the alley, retrieved it and hit the thug on the head before he could get up. Sensing the danger was no more, the lady thanked Jason and then ran away from the alley. Wasting no time, he tied up the thug's and called the police. He then shot his grappling hook and went back to watching on the rooftops
