Chapter 21

The door creaked open with surprised faces spotted in Zayon's eyesight as he stepped inside the room.

The first thing that Zayon did when he walked inside the room was to go over to his wife and kiss her like he never did before - it was passionate, loving, warm, and kind. Zayon's plan was to make sure that Blake knew that Nya had a husband, someone who loves her more than he does. He also wanted to try to make Blake jealous of the fact that Nya is his wife.

However, Blake didn't seem jealous at all, on the outside. On the inside, he wished that he and Zayon could switch places. Even though he and Nya always told people that they were childhood bestfriends, he wanted to be more than just her childhood bestfriend. He wanted to marry Nya so they can be together for eternity. Blake had a feeling that Zayon didn't really treat Nya well, so he was confused on why she loved him so much. Blake felt as if he could treat Nya so much better than Zayon could even imagine, so the fact that Nya hadn't divorced Zayon yet to be with Blake was baffling to him.

Zayon pulled away from the kiss and looked at Nya with elated eyes. Nya smiled back.

"What's this all about?" She asked while giggling.

"I wanna take you on a date!" Zayon grinned. "And I bought you stuff!"

Nya's smile got even wider. "Really?!"

"Yep!"

Suddenly, Nya took a glimpse at the third wheel and saw that he was just creepily watching them. Her expression instantly went from excited to annoyed as she remembered something.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry, Zayon!"

Zayon's face turned from smiley to concerned. "What happened?"

"I forgot... I'm already going to Le Jardin de Fleurs Mémorable with Blake this evening."

Le Jardin de Fleurs Mémorable was a flower garden that Zayon thought was uninteresting and boring. Like, who gets entertained by walking around a bunch of flowers? Yeah, it might smell amazing, but the mosquitoes? They're way too much.

𝘐 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘺 𝘔𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴! Zayon thought while scoffing.

Zayon absolutely hated Le Jardin de Fleurs Mémorable, so his happy mood dropped instantly. He glanced at Blake for a few seconds and saw a tiny smirk on his face.

𝘐𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘕𝘺𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦... 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥'𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘳𝘬 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦. Zayon thought. He sighed of agitation and looked back at Nya with a serious face.

"Cancel it."

Nya's eyebrows raised higher than a skyscraper while Blake rolled his eyes at this immature behavior of Zayon.

Nya cleared her throat. "Um, but Zayon,... I really wanted to go..." She muttered. "I mean, we already paid for the tickets."

Zayon snorted. "The eight dollar tickets?"

He dug inside his wallet and took out $16 dollars and handed it to Blake.

"You bought two tickets worth eight dollars each, making sixteen because eight plus eight equals sixteen." Zayon stated. "I gave you sixteen dollars, so you don't need to go anymore."

Blake looked at Zayon like he was the most arrogant and rude person on Earth, which might be true.

"You can't just cancel my event because you have money."

Zayon grinned devilishly. "Yes I can," He then stopped grinning to face reality. "Wait, what? I want to take my wife on a date that I spent SO much money on and you want to take THAT SAME WOMAN on a date with you that you spent sixteen dollars on?"

Blake realized that Zayon was right. He couldn't take Nya on a date when her husband wanted to take her on a date at the same time. Blake sighed deeply.

"You can have her."

Nya was kind of irritated by this comment. "You can have her" sounded like she was a Barbie doll that two children were fighting over.

Zayon rolled his eyes and turned to Nya. "I bought you some stuff for our date!..."

He glanced at Blake, still creepily staring at the couple. Zayon was quite uncomfortable with Blake's snake-like eyes just staring into his soul.

"Oh my God... do you ever leave people alone...?"

Blake suddenly got up and left silently. That was weird, which is why Zayon did not trust him at all.

"Baby, I think he has some type of mental disorder and he's trying to ruin our relationship."

Nya shook her head. "Don't think like that Zayon, he was just third wheeling, it's awkward for him."

Zayon exhaled out of his nose deeply with his mood not very satisfied, but it brightened when he realized that he had gifts for his beloved. Zayon smiled widely, which made Nya match his happy expression.

"I have gifts for you! They're inside these bags."

Nya's face lit up when she heard the word "gifts".

"Let me see!"

Zayon opened the bags to find out that Nya's dress, necklace, and bracelet were... missing. His face instantly fell with shock and fear of perhaps losing or dropping the items somewhere. Where did his things go? So he spent so much money for the perfect date just to find out that the most important items were gone? Where could they have went to? Did legs appear on their bottoms and they just... walked out of the bag?

Zayon turned to Nya who's expression was confused but still optimistic that she was getting a good gift.

"Err, it seems as if the things I bought for you got... um, lost." He chuckled nervously. "I don't know where they went..."

Nya's face turned from a curious-to-see-what-her-presents-were face to an absolutely mystified face.

"How could that have happened?" She inquired.

"Um, I don't know, but I promise, I'll go to the mall and get you exactly what I was planning to-"

Nya giggled. "No, it's okay, Zayon." She smiled. "I love and appreciate how you always think about my well-being, but I don't need the gifts, it's fine. You are literally the sweetest."

Zayon paused. So "the sweetest" changed from Zayon, to Blake, and back to Zayon again?

"Am I really?"

"Of course! Have you heard me say that to anyone else?"

Zayon wanted to say yes. He wanted to nod his head. He wanted to tell Nya that he had heard when she called Blake "the sweetest". But he managed to keep his mouth shut because Nya just looked so genuine and true. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable by bringing up the fact that he had listened attentively when she spoke to Blake. He decided to ignore all the anger and pain that screamed at him when he lied about this topic.

"Well, no, of course I haven't."

Nya smiled a smile that could've meant anything. "I love you, Zayon!"

Zayon smiled back. "I love you, too." He then thought of what more to say. "Um, you and Blake are just friends, right?"

Nya paused. "Do you not trust me?"

Zayon stayed silent. He did trust Nya. Everything that she said was always right. It was always genuine. It was always true. Then why was Zayon have this weird feeling in his stomach that Nya and Blake weren't just friends, and why was it irking him so much? Why was he so insecure about himself? Why did he believe that Blake was up to no good, contrary to what Nya had told him? Why did he feel as if Nya and Blake were cahooting something without his knowledge? Zayon trusts Nya with all his heart, right?

...

Right?
