Screaming lady

Rayna starts dreaming as soon as she sleeps that same dream which she had been seeing since childhood. She is in a room with only one door. The wall in front of the door has a beautiful painting, which has mountains, a waterfall and in the middle of that there is a very large five corner star shaped bunch of flowers, from which the fragrance was coming. She was losing herself in the fragrance of those flowers.

That is when she suddenly gets the sound of screaming from behind those flowers. A mother was screaming out loud, "take out my daughter, save her, get someone out, please". For a while, that painful voice comes and then calms down. "Oh! Whose voice is this that shakes even my soul. So many times I have tried to remove these flowers, but it seems as if they are sticking to something, either to this mountain or something else is behind those flowers. I want to help this lady, a mother, but don't know how. It seems like as she's calling me. I want to help her but how?" Rayna is thinking and talking to her self.

That is when she heard the loud noise of the door closing behind her and she wakes up from sleep. And when her eyes open, there was her mother Patti standing infront of her door, holding a tray on which something was placed covering with a cloth. Every morning Petti comes with a tray with morning tea on it coverd with a beautiful piece of cloth but this time it is not a tea it's something else because the shape of that cloth is different. Patti took care of Rayna as if she was a princess.

Patti- Good morning my princess.

Rayna- Good morning mom.

Patti- How was your night?

Rayan- Not very good but fine.

Patti- Today is your 18th birthday my dear and here is a beautiful gift for you. A very different gift which you got on your previous birthdays. I hope you will going to like it.

Rayna- Wow! Thank you so much mom, thank you. What is it?

Patti- You are most welcome. Well, check it by yourself honey, this is your gift and I am going now to prepare a breakfast for you.

Rayna- Thank you mom. Love you. (Hugging Patti).

Patti- Love you too honey, now get ready and don't be late for your breakfast. You know your dad, right??

Rayna- Sure mom, I'll be there on time.

Rayna opens her gift as Patti leaves the room. There is a beautiful butterfly shaped pendant with seven rainbow colours on it, which she has never seen before in her life.

Rayna- Amazing! It is so beautiful and different.

'Very different, seems like it belongs to somewhere out of this world.' Rayna was thinking.

She gets ready and goes downstairs where her father and mother are waiting for her for breakfast. She is wearing a pink knee line frock with flowers on it and holding a pendant in her hand which her mother gave her in the morning.

Rayna- Good morning dad.

Titan (Rayna's father)- Good morning honey. Wish you a very happy birthday.

Rayna- Thank you so much dad. 'She placed a sweet kiss on his cheeks.'

Titan and Patti both used to fight a lot but they love their daughter and used to take care of their daughter very much.

Rayna- Mom can I wear this pendant.

Titan and Patti (together)- Yes, ofcourse. It's yours.

Rayna was surprised because she saw both of them agreeing on something together for the first time.

After having breakfast Palash and Jinisha came to pick her up for the school. But Rayna refused to go to school as she wanted to stay at home with her parents and with shadow, her beautiful white cat.

Titan- Rayna you can go to your room if you want or else you can help your mother in her house hold work.

Rayna- Ok, dad.

(Rayna's POV)

As I have finished my work, I went up to my room. It was not a big room but it had everything that an 18 year old young girl needs. There was a study table and books rack in front of the door, a bed on its side with a net around it.The wardrobe on the side of the bed and the balcony at the backside of the wardrobe, where there is a rounded coffee table with 4 chairs.There is a window in front of the bed, a perfect place for shadow to peek out. A mirror is installed at the side of the window. For which my mother used to say that "this is my magical mirror which tells me that my daughter is the most beautiful girl in the world."

But I do not know why today when I came in front of the mirror wearing this pendant, I felt like the wings of this butterfly are moving, but than it stoped. So I thought it was a hallucination, it's not real.

Than the night came and after having dinner we all four of us went to sleep. And as I slept, I have started dreaming the same dream again. Me, one room with painting of mountains, waterfall, river, bunch of flowers of 5 cone star shaped. And when the sound of that lady who was screaming, "pull my daughter out, someone help please", then the pendant in my neck, the butterfly's shape started flying. And it seemed as if that butterfly wanted to go to those flowers. There were many more flowers in that place, but this butterfly has to go to those flowers from where that voice was coming.

I took that pendant in my hand and walked towards those flowers and as soon as I reached the bunch of flowers there was one different flower in the corner started moving. I pulled that flower out and there I was a butterfly shaped hole underneath that flower.

"Oh! This was a lock and I have a key."

Then something soft came and touched me. I looked at my feet, "Shadow, what are you doing here and by the way how you came here."

"I am with you and following you since you were born," said the shadow.

I was very surprised to hear shadow's answer because shadow had never given me any answer before, whereas she has been with me since my childhood.

"Open the door Princess", said the Shadow.
