The Final Match

The final round is here and from the looks of it everyone is hyped up for this one. This is now or never Erik. I've prepared some knives I stored energy in and spoons for combat. I feel like a boxer now fighting for the title.

I still have no clue where my weapons are at and that I have no idea of who I will be fighting off today. They said she won her battles by making them submit defeat. And by far most people are just anticipating my battles because its super entertaining.

"Final round kid good luck." Said the guard.

"Thanks, I'll be going now."

As the crowds cheers are getting louder and the elevator rises slowly. The light shining down on me. I saw someone out there just with a robe. From the looks of it, I'll be facing off a mage this time.

But to my avail... The person has my sword. That mage, knows how to use swords? That's my sword that was gifted to me by God. But before I opened my mouth the King has something to say from the looks of it since this is the final match he will give his final words.

"My people you will witness the greatest showdown of our kingdom's history. A battle that will decide the future of this kingdom. A wish that will be given to the winner of this final duel. Between two powerful finalists. The mysterious green mage versus our current champion Erik! Who will win this battle. Cheer for your champion and let the final battle begin!" Said the king.

"It seems like missy you have my sword there. Can I have it back or face the consequences."

"Who do you think you are asking for this sword? I found it therefore it's mine." Said the mage.

"Suite yourself then."

I rushed forwards towards her and from the looks of it she knows her hand-to-hand combat. She's using my sword as a defensive weapon. Surprising and unusual to be honest since that sword performs better when used on the offensive.

She manages to block my attacks. She's one strong mage who knows combat a bit too well. Well to be honest I'm just using my gifts and I don't have a single clue when it comes to combat. I just let use instincts and reflexes on autopilot for my fighting style.

Oh, she's good at this. She attacks fluently and seems like very attached to my sword. Which is one annoying and two that means she knows how to use it. If she gets to use its full capabilities then I'm on the losing end of this match.

I can't allow that of course. And if she knows that I'm on the losing end she'll pressure me into making a mistake. Therefore either me losing or worst dying on my own sword. I just got revived back to life and was tasked to save the world I can't lose this opportunity given to me in this battle.

I continued attacking her as she was on the defensive from the looks of it. I need to assess this carefully and treading into this fight is not what I want to do right now. And from the looks of it she's a bit slow on defending her right side. I might take advantage there and pressure her into making a mistake creating an opening.

"Hey nice moves out there."

"I think you're overreacting I'm just blocking your attacks." Said the mage.

"Can't you accept a compliment?"

"Well I didn't know that was a compliment." Said the mage.

"You can learn a thing or two from compliments about yourself you know that right?"

We continued fighting for God knows long. And seems like we're in a stalemate didn't expect that because I know I'm in the losing end of this since she has my sword. And I'm using spoons as weapons. SPOON's of all things.

I can't believe I'm in this situation right now fighting this woman out here on my final round and she's using my weapon against me. What are the odds am I right? I guess if she noticed that I'm also in the defensive she might use it and end me right here, right now.

Wait... Is that Lea's staff?? She has that too? Great my luck is against me. The tension is really high right now. My punches aren't reaching her at any point. And that window that I was anticipating started to close out really quick.

"You look like you're slowing down there." Said the mage.

"Heck I'm just adjusting to your speed you know."

"Great now let's speed things up a bit." Said the mage.

As she casted some magic spells I brute forced my way through her barrage of attacks. And right there! A window I could take advantage now and show your face you sword and staff thief! I managed to remove her mask and her hood showing her face...

"What... The... Hell???"

"I thought you already noticed who you're fighting with, Erik." Said Lea...

"Well I never realized that. Nice fight you showed me Lea."

"You fought with spoons??" Said Lea.

"Hey I'm fighting during hard times okay you have my sword for crying out loud."

"True, anyways you wanna submit defeat?" Said Lea.

"No of course. There's something wrong with this kingdom and we have to fix it from the looks of it in this match."

"Well you wish for something to change this kingdom to fix it? Said Lea.

"Right now we're in a stalemate and I have a plan. Well not really a plan, but listen to me. You're standing right in front of our target."

"Wait are you thinking of taking out the king?" Said Lea.

"What can we do right? To save this world from this violent king."

"How did you know about all of this?" Lea questioned.

"Well I asked the guards. They seemed to be under control by the king. Also I got this information by gaining their trust after winning a lot of battles. And they say the king is notoriously evil and used this coliseum for entertainment and torture for the travelers and strangers that come across this place and questions the king."

"Wow, I didn't expect you get a lot of information from them to be honest." Said Lea.

"Yeah, now I have this knife that has stored energy in it. Highly volatile but enough to throw from here to his head over there."

"Don't tell me you're using a butter knife to take out the king." Said Lea.

"Well we have to move or else the king might noticed we're not fighting. So duck in 3... 2... 1... NOW!"

As I throw the knife the large amount of energy that is stored in it propelled it so quickly that it penetrated through the glass cover of the king's room and exploded his head inside the room...

"What the hell..." Said Lea.

As screaming girls from the kings room echoes the silence of the people shocked in awe.

"People of Greenvale. We are usurpers of your king you are now free from the shackles of that evil king and I submit defeat after that incident making your new leader is my friend here the green mage Lea."

"As your new ruler I give full responsibility from your previous and evil ruler. And I release everyone of you from the rule that brings travelers and strangers into fighting in a arena for entertainment and torture.

Also I will start a new revolution into reforming this kingdom into a better one after this battle that I won fair and square. Also I will promote freedom between citizens and equality through out the land so rejoice everyone as a new ruler I'll make this kingdom great again!" Said Lea as she gave her speech.

We left the area shortly to go the palace where everyone was waiting there already. And cheers from citizens celebrating their freedom has finally begun. We headed to the throne room and her wearing the crown is weird of course.

"Say your highness I didn't expect you to take responsibility."

"Well there was an opportunity so I took it. Also being Queen is nice thing you know." Said Lea.

"Also you invited the two that I fought against with?"

"Yes, I think in our adventure team the more people we have the better in my opinion." Said Lea.

"A lot of things just happened in just a short few hours."

"Yeah, I know." Said Lea.

"So your highness we'll be joining your adventure party?" Said Drac as he entered the room with Grendel behind him.

"Welcome to the team you two we'll be adventuring cross worlds and saving them."

"Glad to be part of the team also nice throw Erik. But may I ask though." Said Grendel.

"Yes? What is it?"

"Why is HE here?" Said Grendel.

"Now, now I invited you two here as we need powerful people in this journey of ours. And you two are the most powerful people I've encountered."

"That's nice then." Said Drac.

"Well I can't deny he's one powerful vampire but what if he betray us?" Said Grendel.

"I'll make sure that's not gonna happen."

"Also why would I betray you guys I still have a rematch with him in pending." Said Drac.

"I'll keep an eye out for you." Said Grendel.

"This is gonna be interesting." Said Lea.

"Have you talked with the officials of this kingdom? Since we have other worlds to save."

"I'll still talk to them about taking over for now while I'm gone." Said Lea.

"I guess we'll leave by tomorrow then."

"We better rest for now it's been a long day so see you two." Said Drac.

"I'll be going too, see you two tomorrow." Said Grendel.

And with that we gained 2 more allies and they are an eccentric bunch. This is gonna be interesting I mean I'm a bartender, Lea is now a queen, Grendel is a holy knight, and Drac is a vampire that likes the sun. What a group of misfits we are. I hope this will never stop getting boring than my previous life.
