Chapter 8

Lisa

"Merlin. Are you a member of the kingdom of Twilight"

Merlin didn't reply to Lisa's question, she was just standing there without saying a word, but, after A moment Merlin said

Merlin

"No, I'm not a member"

Lisa takes a breath of relief

Merlin continues with a smile

" I'm not a member, but a founding member of the Twilight Kingdom"

Lisa's eyes widened with shock

"Wh-what??"

Merlin

"You dont seem to know what I mean, do you ?"

Lisa doesn't reply, as she is in shock

Merlin

"Let me explain a little about the dark kingdom, the word Twilight Kingdom is the name of our organization 

Dark Emperor is the founder and he is also the man with the most power in the Dark Kingdom

The organization was formed 3 years ago

when the main church was destroyed by the dark Emperor, and there were a lot of girls that were saved during this incident, among these girls

Four of them decided to follow the Emperor, at first he refused, but no matter how much he refused them. those girls didn't leave his side

Then one day Emperor told the girls that if they wanted him to accept them, then they would have to get him the eyes of Cyclops

The girls knew they would not be able to defeat the Cyclops, but their wish to be accepted by the man who saved their life was more than the fear of losing their life

Luckily one of the girls was good at gathering information, so finding a Cyclops went smoothly, but now they had to get its eye

They discussed and made a plan. Although their plan was proof, the danger was immense

Their plan worked exactly how it was supposed to, and they were able to get the eye of the Cyclops, but they couldn't kill it

after losing its eye, the Cyclops went on a rampage, and all of the girls received deadly injuries, as cyclops was about to kill them, suddenly, the Cyclop's head flew into the air

Girls were shocked to see a monster like Cyclops killed with such ease

They turned behind, where they sensed a presence

After turning, they saw that the person who saved them from Cyclops rampage was the same man who had saved them before

Those girls' faith in the dark Emperor's power grew, So, did his faith in those girls

After this, they made a group that grew rapidly and became a large-scale organization

strongest members of the organization were seven women

These seven women were the first to join the organization and they hold the most power after the dark Emperor

Soon they were known as the

Seven Queens(SQ)"

Darkblue tinted mana started to envelop Merlin, she continued

"And I Merlin am one of the Seven Queens, The Queen Of Sea: Vandrot"

Lisa was completely in shock

She said with a scared and stuttering tone

"You are..., no way"

She started walking backwards

Merlin ( smiling)

" are you going to leave just like that?"

Lisa stopped

Merlin

"Lisa, why do you think I told you all this"

Lisa stays silent

Merlin

"I'm not going to kill you, and I didn't tell you this because of some ulterior motive"

Lisa (scared)

"Then why did you tell me all that"

Merlin

"I dont know how to say this, but, I need your help"

Lisa

"Help, my help??

What do u need help with"

Merlin replies in a scared tone

"I"

Lisa

"....."

Merlin

"I want to leave the organization"

Lisa's eyes completely widened

"What are you saying?"

Merlin continues with a serious face

"I'm fed up with this all of it...."

Lisa

"Do you expect me to believe that, merlin, give me one reason, why I should trust you"

Merlin

"I first joined this organization to save people from the church

but now this organization will do whatever the emperor has decided

and the Emperor has become merciless

he has changed so much that I wonder sometimes

that if he is the same person"

Lisa wanted to get closer to Merlin as a friend, so she wanted to trust Merlin

So Lisa said

"I dont think you are lying and I want to believe you because we are friends

so, tell me, how can I help you "

Merlin heard this, she was silent, then tears started flowing down her tears, she smiled and said

"Thank you so much for trusting me"

Lisa's thoughts

"She cried, wait a minute "

Lisa

"Merlin, what were you doing earlier "

Merlin

"Earlier??, oh, you mean this "

Merlin turned back and lifted a human head

Lisa (creped out)

"What were you doing with a human head"

Lisa's thoughts

"Just how is she holding a severed head with such an indifferent expression 😨 "

Merlin

" I wanted to confirm who the mysterious man was, and I was able to do that, with the memories of this head"

Lisa

"You can do that?????!!"

Merlin

"Yeah it's quite easy actually"

Lisa

"Well, did you confirm who the man was"

Merlin

"Yes I did, and it's indeed the dark Emperor who attacked this city"

Lisa

"I see"

Merlin

" why do u have a relieved expression on your face"

Lisa

"It's because I initially thought that this mysterious man was someone I knew"

Merlin

"Oh, so that's why you were worried, but, then your worries must have eased, when you heard that the man destroyed this city alone, right?"

Lisa

"Quite the opposite"

Merlin

"???"

Lisa

"The man I'm talking about is more than capable of pulling off such a feat"

Merlin

"What? then that means you are saying he is capable of destroying this barony alone"

Lisa

"Yes, he is"

Merlin

"How can you say that?, I mean, the dark Emperor's existence breaks the laws of the world, and you are saying that there is someone who has similar capabilities "

Merlin then starts thinking with a serious face

Lisa tells the whole Sieg Mountain incident to Merlin, she leaves out the part that she was a slave, and she replaced the holy knights with bandits

Merlin listened to the whole story

Merlin

"I see he certainly is unique, Lisa, do u think you could perhaps introduce me to him,

Lisa

"Nope"

Merlin

"Why??"

Lisa's thoughts

".. , why? did I just refuse her request without a second thought "

Merlin who was looking at puzzled Lisa thought

"Wait, does she have a crush on him or something 😳 🤔 "

Merlin (sarcastic smile)

" you know Lisa, it's ok if you don't want to introduce me to your man, oh my, it's already so late, let's go to sleep now"

Merlin started to walk away while giggling

Lisa

" why was she giggling???"

Then Lisa followed Merlin and went to sleep

When all of this was happening, there was something else that was going on with lugh

Riley got out of his tent and started walking towards lugh who was sitting in front of a bonfire

He goes and sits in front of lugh

They both remain silent until Riley starts taking

"By when do you think we would reach Roinhalla, where Einvalla Academy is situated "

Lugh replies Riley

" about a week and a half, since we have enough resources, we won't be needing a resupply till we reach Roimhalla"

Riley

"I see..."

"Lugh, I'm sorry that you have to guard us, even though you just came back from that mission "

Lugh

"I dont mind, so don't worry about it"

Riley 😏

"But Father seems to have other ideas "

Lugh ( !! )

"What do you mean??"

Riley

"The way Father has been favoring you, it seems to me that he will give you Sreya's hand in marriage"

Lugh didn't react to it at all, but he replies

"Are you serious?"

Riley

"Yes "

Lugh (serious) asks Riley

" Riley, are you seriously ok with letting your sister marry a banished noble like me"

Riley sighed and then said

"You have confidence in your abilities, but you don't realize just how amazing you are"

"Dad is planning to put in a good word for you"

As Riley said this, Lugh's gaze toward him turned sharp

Lugh(serious)

"Riley, you know about my circumstances, and you are still going on and on about that...

Tell your father to not get involved with me unnecessarily "

Riley replies to lugh

"I dont know what happened there, but you left that family on your own didn't you

Ah, and don't give me that look of suspicion, I have known you for years now

Which is why I had already stopped Father from doing that"

Lugh

" Thanks, Riley"

Riley nods

"I should not be thanked here"

Riley looks at lugh while talking in his mind

"you just don't realize, how amazing you are, the quick decisions you make, your experience in fighting and life, your intelligence, the honed skills and knowledge you possess, although you are kind people misjudge you to be cold

I can't even name your every trait"

Lugh

"Is there something on my face, you have been looking at it while smiling for a while now, talk about being creepy "

Riley points his finger towards him

"Oh ye-yeah, there is a bug on your face"

Lugh

"A bug?"

Lugh grabs the black bug on his face

Lugh

"Yeah right"

Riley made this bug with his magic to prank lugh, and lugh threw this bug back to Riley's face

Riley

"When will you sleep?

Lugh

"I will sleep in a while, you go on ahead"

Riley

"Sure"

Riley goes back to his tent to sleep

Lugh thoughts to himself

[ Sreya was standing there this whole time listening to our conversation

I know she doesn't want to marry me,

But, I will make sure that she isn't forced into marriage

I will keep my promise to Riley, when the time comes I will save Sreya, for his, hers, and my sake

I will do it for the sake of my friendship with Riley]

Lugh told this to himself while looking in the bonfire

The bonfire was burning hot enough to stop the chills of the night, the fire grew even more as lugh threw more dry sticks in the fire....
