Chapter 29: Destruction

"What did you say?"

Asia asked as she looked at the dragon slayer in front of her with widened eyes like she couldn't believe the information he reported to her. Making the dragon slayer repeat the information that he just reported.

"Lucias-sama has ordered to nuke South and Central America, that is why Sephie-sama has instructed all armies to create a barrier around the border to avoid getting caught in the explosion"

The dragon slayer repeated, causing Asia to frown in response since she didn't expect Lucias to make a drastic move like this when he found out the news about their children. But knowing his personality and protectiveness towards his loved ones. She understood why he made this order since she would do the same if she didn't calm down.

"ANGELS!!! MAGES!!! CREATE A BARRIER WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT! SUPPORTS BUFF THEM ALL!! THEY'RE GOING TO NUKE CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA!!"

Asia shouted while amplifying her voice with mana. Making the crowd look at her in shock before 10 gigantic white pillars that stretch to the sky appeared in the Central and South American countries. Giving off an extremely destructive aura that brought shivers down their spine, causing the ancient angels to immediately flew up the sky and raise their hands in the air.

"[Aegis]!!"

They all casted in unison, causing a large shield to appear above them, covering the entire front with a golden layer of mana. Making all of the mages panic as they quickly lifted their staffs in the air. Makin several magic circles below them before several layers of mana appeared in the sky. Pouring all of their mana into the barriers to fortify it as much as they could.

"[Invincibiliy}!!"

Asia shouted as she raised her hand in the air, creating a large magic circle with the emblem of a dragon below her before a large layer of mana was added on top of the Angel's [Aegis]. The most powerful barrier that she could cast. Something that could even withstand Lucias' attack at full power.

The 10 pillars then started to expand before they all made 10 massive explosions around the countries of South and Central America. Creating a dome of pure mana in their location before obliterating anything found within them. Making the soldiers in Mexico close their eyes due to the extremely bright light produced by the pillar at the neighboring country. Disintegrating several demons and Gastreas of all ranks in the process.

Creating several cracks in the barriers that Asia created due to the sheer strength of the explosion while the mages and angels gulped in nervousness. 

"T-The towers have been destroyed!!"

A soldier holding a radio connected to the main headquarters shouted, causing all of them to frown in response.

"You mean... that was not the bomb?"

"NO! THAT WAS LUCIAS-SAMA!!! HE DESTROYED THE TOWERS IN SOUTH AND CENTRAL AMERICA!!"

The soldier shouted as the net-like barrier above the sky started to disintegrate. Making everyone widen their eyes in surprise.

"The [Anti-Spatial Magic] barrier has been removed!!! Mages ready the teleportation circles!!"

The colonels shouted before another similar net-like formation appeared to cover the entire Central and South America. Preventing all of the Gastreas from escaping the continent.

"FORTIFY THE BARRIERS AND GET READY TO WITHSTAND THE EXPLOSION!!"

Asia ordered as the humans with the job [Support] used all of their mana to buff the mages in front of them that was keeping the barriers above and in front of them in place. Watching as the pillars of mana slowly disappeared in the eyes as a 100-kilometer wide magic circle appeared above the sky. Bearing the insignia of the Forsaken Faction.

"I'Isn't that a bit... too big?

The human soldiers muttered before they saw a gigantic bomb with several mana circuits on its body come out of the magic circle. Making many who haven't witnessed what an E-Bomb looked like widen their eyes in surprise.

"T-That's an E-Bomb?"

They muttered before those gigantic bombs quickly fell on the ground, causing silence to devour all of the armies surrounding Mexico. Watching as the bomb slowly approaches the ground with bated breathe.

"ERECT A [NOISE NULLIFICATION] BARRIER NOW!!!"

Asia shouted before a burst of extremely loud noise break out behind them, while a gust of strong winds assaulted their barriers with a pressure enough to kill a high-class devil when exposed. All while a burst of highly concentrated mana assaulted their barriers like a tsunami. Engulfing the entire army whole while several cracks and damages appeared on the layers of barrier that they erected above them.

Watching as the land around them that was not in the range of the barrier crumble before becoming fine dust. Making the Gastreas and Demons scream in extreme pain as their bodies were disintegrated by the explosion. Leaving nothing behind as the soil of the continent completely broke them, destroying all infrastructures, lands, and bodies of water in the continent while all of them experienced extreme trembling of the ground. Experiencing the most destructive earthquake that humanity has seen as the oceans flooded the lands. 

Drowning all of the surviving plants and infrastructures that were not in the range of the explosion, including the other continents around the world. The destruction was felt by all factions that were in their respective countries. Making the infrastructures that they built to restore their countries collapse to the ground while their gods covered them with a barrier to protect them. 

"Hold it!! Endure it or else we'll all die!!"

Asia said as the mages around her starting spitting out blood due to blocking the blunt explosion of the bomb. Making Asia frown while they watch the soil beneath them began to crack, opening a large hole in the earth's crust.

"Did they really dropped 4 bombs at once!?"

Asia shouted as the explosion died down, but their sight was still covered by the clouds of dust and other particles in the air. Making the mages and ancient angels sigh in relief as they felt the burden placed on their barriers slowly decrease.

"... It's over"

Asia said as she felt the burst of mana die down. Making her remove the barrier that she placed around them.

"Clear our the clouds!"

The colonels ordered, causing the wind magicians to hit the butt of their staff to the ground before a large gust of wind started to spread around them.

"[Tempest}!"

They all casted, blowing the clouds of dust and other fine materials away. Clearing their line of sight, causing them to witness an unbelievable scene in front of them.

"I-It's gone..."

A soldier muttered in shock as he observed the scene in front of him. They saw nothing but a vast ocean in front of them. None of the lands and soil that make up the continent was to be seen like they were looking at the pacific ocean. It was completely cleared out except for a single hotel in the middle of the new ocean. A place where a single man standing on top can be seen, looking at the aftermath of dropping the E-Bomb without a single trace of emotion in his eyes. 

"Sirzechs"

He called out, causing a red-haired woman to slowly walk towards his direction while looking around them in awe. Not a single Gastrea was left alive after the explosion, even their own corpses are nowhere to be found. Only the dimensional rift that floated above sea level was seen.

"Tell Sephie my orders, gather all of the dwarves, ancient demons, and elves. I want all of them to focus on the production of E-Bombs. Use as many materials they you wish. That's my order"

He said before opening a dimensional rift in front of him. Making Sirzechs nod her head in response while Lucias set foot inside of the rift. Leaving the 4 girls that he protected from the explosion alone, in the middle of nowhere.

"... I'll leave it to you, Sirzechs"

"Here's another one"

Elena said as she dragged the corpse of a wild demon towards Sharael, who was busy creating her own army of undead using the corpses of the demons that the humans have killed in the past few years that they fought back. Creating a gruesome army of demon zombies that all had several injuries, broken bones, missing parts, and missing organs in their bodies. 

"... Aren't you tired, Sharael?"

Elena asked in worry while looking at Sharael. Making her shake her head to the side before walking towards the corpse that Elena brought to her.

"I'm fine... I inherited dad's high mana capacity... so something like this manageable"

Sharael assured before the corpse suddenly stood up from the ground, causing his head to fall off his neck before it kneeled down in front of her. Showing its obedience to the one that revived it.

"Join the line"

Sharael said as she pointed at the 200 demon zombies behind her. Making the wild demon obediently walk towards the line in response.

"What do you want us to do next?"

Katsu asked causing Elena to mischievously grin in response. Making both Sharael and Katsu uneasy about their next actions.

"We're going to harass and attack the citizens of the kingdom were on, and turn them into undead. We're going to do it ourselves so you just need to lend us the ability to command them for a while. You 8 stay here where it's safe"

She said while the humans behind her were sharpening their weapons. Preparing to launch a small-scale attack towards the city to not only disturb the peace and trust of the people to its monarch but also increase their undead army.

"I'm going to remind you now, but undead isn't as strong as they originally were when they are still alive. Only my mom is able to do that. Their strength is decreased by half, so be careful when using them"

Sharael reminded. Making Elena give her a thumbs up with a confident smile on her face.

"Don't worry. We know what we're doing"

She said before attaching the sheathed dagger in her hands to her waist. Covering half of her face with a black and dirty mask before placing the flintlocks that they got from Katsu on their back. Hiding a patch of metal bullets inside of their cloak. 

"When it comes to killing demons... we do it throughout our entire life. We might not be as strong as you kids, but we're familiar with how to kill a demon efficiently"

She said with a gentle smile on her face, wearing their tattered boots on their feet. Spraying the demon's scent on their clothes to hide from the demon's sharp senses. Making the children look at them in interest. 

"We'll be back before night falls. If demons enter this place, hide in the secret room that we built in those bushes. Let those old dudes deal with them for you"

"Who are you calling old, Elena? You're a lot-"

A human said but was interrupted by a dagger that was thrown in his direction. Piercing the tree beside him. Almost piercing his head as cold sweat ran down his back

"What were you saying?"

"N-Nothing, ma'am"

he nervously answered. Making Elena smile in satisfaction before she felt someone pull her sleeves, causing her to look down at Albedo who was staring at her with a bright smile on her face.

"My new pets also want to come with you!!"

She said while pointing at the King and 10 Archduke-ranked demons standing at the side. Obediently staying silent with their hands in front of them.

"... You... can control them?"

"Mn!"

She cutely answered, causing Elena to smile in amusement.

"Alright... How about we bring your more pets once we get back?"

"Really!?"

Albedo asked in an excited tone, making Elana gently smile in her direction. While Miranda looked at her with a helpless smile on her face. Knowing that Elena was trying to convince Albedo into charming more demons to command. Unlike the undead demons, Albedo can make them act like her slave and even maintain their original strength. So, it was more efficient than the undead. The only problem is Albedo has no control of that power at all. Only if she feels danger or joy will it only manifest. That's because, unlike her own powers, Albedo is the daughter of an Original Succubus. The ancestors of the succubus and incubus that exist now. So her charm, mixed with their father's own charm, became lethal. To the point that only her family could withstand it.

It was a double-edged sword since because of this, Albedo was extremely sheltered to avoid making contact with people that are outside of her own family. Until she can fully control the charm, will she be allowed to experience the outside world. The main reason why Modeus is trying to speed up the progress of her growth by feeding her Lucias' essence. So that she can control that charm and make friends with people outside of their own family. 

"That's right. If you gather enough pets then they can help you see your papa again"

Elena said, causing Albedo's eyes to shine brightly before clenching her fist in front of her. Making his sibling look at her cute actions with a gentle smile on their faces.

"... Well... At least we're able to help our parents in this war"
