Chapter 27: Successful Negotiations

-with Yami and Tiamat-

"Yami, I'll distract her, use your transformation magic to knock her out"

Tiamat shouted as their surroundings was covered by a circular wall of ice before dodging hundreds of icicles aimed at her location.

"Understood"

Yami answered as she disappeared from the darkness of the night using her [stealth] skill, alerting Esdeath from her sudden disappearance as she increase the guard around her body.

Tiamat who saw her stop immediately charged at her location, raising her scale covered fist into the air before performing a powerful straight punch aimed at her abdomen.

Esdeath quickly made several layers of ice walls on her abdomen to lessen the impact and force of her fist, but it was still enough to launch her towards the wall of ice behind her, generating a large crater on the wall as a large portion of it shatters into thin crystals of ice, scattering on the ground.

"Ugh..."

She growled in pain as she quickly stood up, dodging a thin blade aimed at her vital points.

"Tch..."

Yami clicked her tongue before disappearing as Tiamat opened her jaw, firing a large dark blue beam at her location.

[Dragon's Breath: Karmic Type (lvl maxed) - Deals 500,000 (+100% per 10 points of Bad Karma of the target) magic damage at a straight firing range, creating a large explosion that deals 100,000 (100% per 10 points of Bad Karma) magic damage around a radius of 10 km. (Consumption: 200,000 Mp/use)]

Esdeath erected several walls of thick ice in front of her to block her giant beam, but due to her high amount of Bad Karma, the beam pierced through the walls of ice at ease causing her to activate her Mahakadoma to freeze the time around her, giving her enough time to move out of the beam's firing range.

As soon as time continued the beam of destroyed the entire wall of ice causing it to collapse on the destroyed royal palace caused by their fight.

"It's quite astonishing how she can survive for this long even though she is just a human"

Tiamat muttered while observing the panting Esdeath 100 Meters away from her, exhausted from using Mahakadoma.

"... I doubt that pig didn't escape under all this ruckus"

"Don't worry, Wave, Run and Bols are already inside the palace, blocking their path of escape... At most, he will be killed by the 3 of them"

Yami assured her as she silently appeared behind her back.

"Tch... It's kind of sad when I promised them that I'll bring him alive..."

Tiamat clicked her tongue in annoyance from having braking her own promise with Najenda.

"It can't be helped"

Yami says in a calm town before disappearing in her shadows before silently running towards Esdeath's direction.

Tiamat decided to assist her by creating thousands of lances of condensed mana around her before firing it at her direction.

Esdeath who saw her barrage of attacks fired multiple icicles at the lances at great accuracy, causing both the icicle and lance to break upon contact.

"What the hell did this woman do to her body to become this powerful?"

Tiamat voiced out in annoyance but grinned as she saw a familiar golden haired little girl behind Esdeath.

Yami immediately aimed at her vital points with extremely thin needles to paralyze her body, but Esdeath who felt her presence behind her used Mahakadoma once again to dodge both of their attacks, appearing behind Yami as she froze her body within a large block of ice.

The time around them continued causing a large amount of lances to launch at Yami's location causing Esdeath to smile in anticipation before creating a large pillar of ice beneath her lift her up from the ground.

"You underestimate my control on my own mana"

Tiamat grinned at her foolishness before controlling the lances to change its trajectory towards Esdeath.

"It's a good thing Lucias thought me how to coat the lances in mana to control their trajectory"

Yami who was frozen in ice, used her transformation magic to melt the ice around her body before charging towards the foot of the pillar.

Tiamat controlled the ice to hit the pillar beneath her feet, breaking it to pieces causing Esdeath to create multiple platforms of ice to catch her, averting her attention from Yami as she dodged hundreds of lances in the air.

Yami quickly made her way beside her, piercing several vital points causing her to drop, paralyzed on the cold platform.

"What... did you... do to me..."

"Yami, go to the palace and bring Honest's corpse with you, I'll bring this woman back to the night raid's base"

Tiamat who appeared beside them says before lifting her paralyzed body on her shoulder like a sack before running towards the base.

Yami nodded her head as she entered the palace as quickly as she can to possibly catch Honest alive.

-with Tiamat-

"I'm back!!"

Tiamat shouted as soon as she entered the base along with the paralyzed Esdeath on her shoulders.

"You're alrea-"

Najenda who greeted her stopped in her tracks as she saw the strongest woman in the empire being held like a sack on her benefactor 's shoulder.

"Y-You!?"

"What? Oh this woman, don't worry she's paralyzed and won't attack"

Tiamat nonchalantly answered before throwing her body on the ground.

"But... Why didn't you kill her?"

"We wanted her to join us our faction since she is kind of useful"

"Y-you're insane!! Don't you know-"

"Don't worry, we have a way to keep in her in a leash together with Kurome and Seryu"

Tiamat cut her off as she patted her shoulder to assure her with a light smile on her face.

"If she disobeys, we'll just kill her don't worry. If we fought to kill her, she should've been already dead by now"

She says calmly with a large grin on her face before binding Esdeath's limbs with ropes of mana to keep her immobilised even if the paralysis placed on her body disappears.

"Trust me, will you!"

"You two are just... reckless, I hope you can keep your promise of keeping her under control because if you can't... I'll have to break the deal between us"

"No problem!"

She gave her a thumbs up as Yami along with the other ex-members of the Jaegers entered the base carrying the corpses of both Honest and the Child Emperor in their hands.

"Mission Complete"

-with Tobiichi and Miku-

"... Hey, Miku"

Tobiichi called out as both of them sat down inside Ayumu's house together with dozens of vampires, drinking oolong tea while Yuu's sister played with the soft plushie on the opposite side of the table.

"Yes?"

"... How many members have we recruited exactly?"

"Uh... Not that much... about... 55 I guess?"

"... This is taking forever"

Tobiichi sighed as she smashed her head into the wooden table inside the room from the frustration she felt.

It has been 2 months ever since they entered the dimension, but they did nothing but to beat a Vampire Ninja into a duel and make them their ally by force. Haruna didn't joined because of her loyalty to Villers.

"Tobiichi-dono, if you want more allies, you can challenge the chief of any faction"

Seraphim who was listening beside them suggested before before pouring a freshly made oolong tea on her cup.

"... Do you know where they are?" (Tobiichi)

"I know the location of the chief of my Faction, but since we all came from different factions. I think we can get information from them" (Seraphim)

"*Sigh*... Let's just wait for Ayumu to come back home for the meantime. Since... we're really cramped in here" (Tobiichi)

She muttered while looking around the small house filled with beautiful black haired women scattered across the room.

"That insect should be grateful" (Seraphim)

"You really shouldn't be mad at him since we're crashing in his house though..." (Miku)

Miku gave her a wry smile, even though Lucias gave them enough money to live their entire life without much problem, they couldn't use it in this dimension since all of it was inside the credit card he gave them.

"I miss Lucas" (Tobiichi)

"Both of us do, Origami-san. But we can't leave here until we finish our quest... If only Lucias was here..." 

Miku sighed before taking a sip from her cup as her light indigo eyes gets engulfed in Nostalgia from suddenly picturing his face inside her head.

"Miku-dono, who is this Lucias?"

Seraphim asked out of curiosity, she has always heard this name come out of their mouths, the main reason why they were such in a hurry to recruit more allies under their ranks.

"He is-" 

Miku tried to explain but stopped her words when a sudden figure fell from the ceiling of the house, before crashing on the wooden floor, alerting all of the vampire ninjas inside the room as they readied their weapons for a possible fight.

"Why the fuck is the rift connected to the sky of this Dimension?"

The figure complained as he stood up from the ground.

"This voice!?"

Tonio shouted in shock and excitement as she stood up from her seat, staring at the clouds of dust covering the figure who fell from the sky.

Slowly the dust dissipated, revealing a 11 year old boy with golden hair and sharp eyes standing in the middle of the large crater inside the room.

"Lucias!!"

-with Lucias (1 hour ago)-

"Lucias-san, the board of directors and the representatives have accepted your proposal. Here's the list of the species that is to be transferred to your dimension, the representatives will also come as well to monitor the species that is to be transferred to your dimension since they don't want them to cause trouble for you"

Smith stated as she passed a list of species along with the contract containing the terms and conditions presented by the representatives of the monsters.

Lucias read through the list and found almost all of the species were included in the list, but the ones who didn't agree to come with them like Miia, Centorea, Mero, Arachnera, Suu, and Papi were given the right to stay with their respective hosts.

"They allowed you to train the monsters and use them for your faction, the only conditions they wanted was for them to have 30 floors for their habitat, and they wish for you to provide all of the necessities they will be needing in exchange for dispatching them in missions"

"It's that all? Sure, I'll agree but they have to respect the other races inside my faction, because if they get killed because they offended them... I can't really do much for them"

"We already know that is why the representatives are coming with you, they will monitor the every species themselves to avoid any conflicts with the other members of your faction"

"If that's the case then, pleasure to be working with you and thank you Smith-san"

Lucias gently smiled at her direction before signing the contract on the table.

"It should be us thanking you, Lucias-san. Thanks to your our work- I mean the monsters can now have a place where they can truly call home"

She says with a light smile on her face before stretching out her hand towards Lucias, signalling her for a handshake.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone"

Lucias shook her hand before taking his copy of the contract and placing it inside his inventory to avoid losing it.

"I-I have no idea what you're talking about, Lucias-san"

Smith nervously said as cold sweat ran down her back from the fear of having the board of directors know about her complaints and actions in the past.

"Then, Smith-san I'll open up a gate, don't worry I made it so that only those monsters on the list can enter. I'll have one of my members to organise and guide them to their respective floors once they enter our dimension. We'll be going first since we still have a few things to do back in our dimension"

Lucias says with a wide smile on his face before opening a rift for him, Kuroka, and Cerberus to use to go back to the base.
