Chapter 27: Demon's Dimension (2)

"Make yourselves at home"

The woman said as he guided the 8 kids inside of a makeshift house using the trees that were grown inside of the farm. Creating a cozy wooden house with a few bunk beds inside from the furniture that they stole from the "Farmers" that they killed.

"Thanks"

Katsu said in gratitude as they all entered the wooden house. Searching for any kinds of traps by scanning the entire house with mana before they sighed in relief. 

"The food will be delivered here after a while, so go ahead and make yourselves comfortable"

She says as she sat down on the bed. Looking at the children with a warm gaze on her face. Making the children slowly relaxed their guards as they sat down on the bed opposite her.

"Why are you helping us? I thought the humans here would be cautious of us after seeing that"

Katsu asked while looking at the woman in suspicion, causing her to place her hand on her cheeks. Looking at them in confusion.

"As I said before, you don't hold any hostility towards us and... since you dispose of those demons. Then, we can safely assume that we have the same enemy... and... we judged that your abilities could help us retrieve what was once was ours"

She said as she glanced at them with a serious expression on her face. Making Atlas and Katsu frown in response.

"That's quite a straightforward way to tell us that you plan to use us"

"Well... we don't really plan on using you... The only explanation that we have for your powers is that you 8 came from the dimension of the demon's enemy. So if we do anything to the 8 of you then we might risk making an enemy out of those beings... since those demons wouldn't trouble themselves to bring you all the way here if you don't have any value to them"

She said causing Katsu to nod his head in understanding since what she said made sense. The fact that they killed the demons they despised and were brought here entails that they were of great importance to the alliance. Even though they can't assume that they're allies, they had the same enemy, so they can somewhat trust them.

"Though I want to ask a few things... how come you kids look like your used to killing?"

She asked. Making all of them look at her in confusion.

"Even our own children wouldn't be so ruthless. Did your parents teach you this?"

She asked out of curiosity while leaning closer, placing her arms on her thighs to support her body.

"No, our mom and dad only taught us how to control our powers... but they never taught us to kill. It's something that we learned ourselves from living in our world that is in a constant state of war... It was... weird for us too... since we lacked sympathy"

He said while looking at his own hands with a frown on his face. Not understanding why they felt nothing when just a while ago was their first time killing something. Most of them were smart and a bit mature for their age because of the intelligence that they inherited from their father, and because they saw so many of the adults that they befriended disappear. Only to find out that they died when they were deployed, and Couronne's own teachings. They had a bit of taste of how reality is, which made them less demanding than a normal child since they knew that their parents are doing their best to protect them.

They were raised with the love of their parents so they valued their allies like Lucias, but because of how their enemies always took the adults and even the cursed children that they befriended and valued. They adapted their father's mentality. Soft towards his subordinates but ruthless towards his enemies, if they hold some value or use to him, they weren't at fault, or when his fiancees told him to show mercy. Then only then will he spare them. 

"L-Let's not talk about that anymore, why won't you all introduce yourselves?"

The woman said as she tried to change the subject of their conversation, noticing the depressing atmosphere that was spreading throughout the wooden house.

"I'll start, My name is Elena, I... don't have a surname because I'm just a commoner back when the human kingdom still existed. I'm one of the chefs of our small base"

She said before winking in their direction. Signaling for them to introduce themselves.

"Oda Katsu, a demigod, and I can summon any number of flintlocks"

Katsu said. Making the woman look at him in shock.

"I-I heard that there were a lot of gods on your side... but I didn't expect to meet a demigod like him here... is that why they brought them here..."

She whispered to herself before looking at Atlas who had a stoic expression on his face.

"Atlas, I don't have a surname like my mother. I'm a demigod like them. I can manipulate reality... but for now, I can't do anything drastic like making an entire kingdom disappear like my father "

He said before placing his hand on top of Albedo's head.

"I'm Albedo! I can make people like me!!"

She cutely introduced while raising her hands. Making Atlas unconsciously smile in response.

"Miranda Naruse, a demigod. I can manipulate the gravity at a certain area and...can manipulate and control the lust and dreams of both sexes"

Miranda elegantly introduced. Tapping Sharael who was sitting beside her.

"Sharael Hellscythe, I can do necromancy, and manipulate reality like Atlas... but I don't have enough experience using it"

She said with her head lowered. Avoiding making eye contact with the woman in front of them.

"Melissa. I can create clones of myself and can use [Illusion Magic] to a certain extent"

"Luna, I can absorb the strength and power of anyone I touch like Melissa. I can also manually manipulate and destroy any part of a being's internal anatomy"

Luna and Melissa introduced, causing Anthony to clear his throat before introducing himself to the woman.

"Anthony Castor Deviluke. I can control and manipulate any species of plants around me, and accelerate their growth using magic"

He introduced, not noticing the excitement and hope in the woman's eyes as she heard of their abilities. Especially Shareal's ability could help them create an army of the undead under their command.

"What are you all planning on doing from now on? It would take a long time until your parents could rescue you"

She asked, making the children look at each other in response.

"We plan on staying here until dad rescues us. You don't have to worry about food, we can provide it ourselves and even give some of them to you"

Katsu explained. Making the smile on the woman's face shine even brighter.

"If you're staying here... how about you make a deal with big sister?"

"... There's something wrong with your head if you want to make a deal with children"

Katsu commented but was ignored by the woman who held his hand with a hopeful expression on her face.

"Don't worry, I'll promise you that you'll remain safe... since you're our last hope in taking back our home"

"W-Who are you!?"

A woman wearing a simple dress and a blindfold that hid the location of her third eye, asked while looking at a pale vampire that was sucking the blood out of her husband's body, causing his skin to sink and pale like that of a dehydrated and malnourished human. Watching her husband struggle to break free as his strength slowly left his body.

"A-Adrian!!"

The female demon screamed as she ran towards their direction but was stopped as a 100 meter demonia grabbed her body and lifted her up in the air.

"W-What-"

She muttered in shock before she felt her body suddenly get rinsed like a towel by the demonia. Making her scream in pain as she felt all organs and bones in her body break or implode., causing her blood to flow down on the Demonia's open mouth.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The female demon screamed before her head was bitten off by the giant demon, causing her scream to die down while the screams of the other citizen of her kingdom devoured the entire area. Creating a post-apocalyptic scene where the demons run for their life while being hunted down by the demonia's for food. Leaving nothing but their blood on the ground as their bodies were devoured whole by the demonias.

"H-HELP!!!"

"W-WHERE'S THE ARMY!? WHY AREN'T THEY HELPING US!?"

Two demons shouted in fear and terror before getting stabbed by a demonia's claws. Making them spit out blood before getting lifted up in the air.

"D-Don't-"

They muttered with extreme terror visible in their eyes before getting thrown inside of the demonia's mouth. Getting swallowed alive while getting chewed by the Demonia's sharp teeth. Ripping their bodies to pieces inside of its mouth.

"What a beautiful scene, don't you agree mistress?"

The demon king said while looking at his children enjoy the feasts. Catching the demons running around the town before quickly swallowing them whole. Engraving extreme fear in the demon's hearts as the Vampires killed all of the demons that hid in the corners that the demonia's couldn't reach. Significantly increasing their strength in the process as they assimilated the demon's abilities and skills in their bodies.

"Kill of those monsters and protect the citizens!!!"

A demon soldier shouted as they brandished their swords to block the demonia's from capturing the escaping citizens. Facing the chasing demonia's with a fearful but resolute expression on their faces.

One of the demonias howled with a frenzied expression on its face. Raising his hand in the air before sweeping it towards the demon soldiers in front of it. Shredding their bodies to pieces with its sharp claws, while the stronger ones were sent crashing on the houses beside them.

"FOOD"

A superior demonia shouted as he grabbed several demon citizens with his large hands and throwing them inside his mouth. Chewing them to pieces while his brothers all chased the running citizen to get a piece of their own.

"Fools. Do they expect to easily stop my children just like that?"

The demon king sneered while watching them struggle while the demonias killed almost everything that they see move. Children, the elderly, women, no one was spared in their slaughter. Making the demon king smile in satisfaction.

"They're growing stronger... and more ruthless than before"

Lily muttered while standing on top of a wooden building. Looking at the Vampires who were dropping drained bodies into the air while the ower demonias caught them like a dog catching its treat. Making Lily smile as she noticed the rapid growth in their strength. Something they couldn't do freely back in their dimension since they didn't want their allies to look at them as monsters.

"They will entitle you as a monster for this, mistress"

"It doesn't matter, as long as I can save my children. They can see me as a monster who slaughters the innocent for all they like"

Lily said before two noble vampires and Elmenhilde threw a 10-meter tall demon in front of them. Making Lily frown in response.

"What's this?"

Lily asked as the two noble vampires pinned the demon to the ground. Giving him no chance to escape.

"He is the King of this demon kingdom, Empress... The queen and his heirs have already been devoured by the Gastreas, and he is the only on left in the royal family of this place"

The noble demon reported, causing Lily to frown as she suddenly stepped on the demon's face. Grinding his face on the wooden roof. 

"Where did they put my children, demon?"

Lily asked as her bloodlust pressed against the demon's body. Making him gulp in fear as the screams of his citizens echoed from the corners of his ear. 

"I-I don't know, I-I was never involved in that plan!!"

The demon loudly stated as he raised his head, causing him to see her blood-red eyes that were looking down on him like he was an ant that she could kill if she wanted.

"... Take him away and kill him. He has no use to us"

Lily ordered, causing the demon to look at her with despair visible in his eyes.

"W-Wait!! P-Please don't kill me! I-I'll be your servants so-"

He pleaded but was cut off as the noble vampire by his side pierced his claws in his throat. Destroying his vocal cords before getting dragged away by the two vampires. Leaving Elmenhilde, Lily, and the demon king standing on top of the house.

"...Let's move on to the next kingdom"

"As you wish, Mistress"
