Angelie stopped walking as she heard Fumika, but she kept her back turned. There was a moment of silence before Akuma replied.
"Why are you asking now? You call me whenever you want, anyway."
Akuma raised his eyebrow as he folded his arms.
"O-oh, nothing. I just wanted to make sure…"
Fumika let out a forced laugh. Then, she briefly glared at Angelie and smirked. It was so quick that Akuma barely noticed it. Angelie, on the other hand, felt a chill down her spine.
"Anyway, just don't call me while I'm reading manga. I'm already on the good part, and I don't want to be disturbed. Got it?"
Akuma pointed at Fumika.
"But… how will I know if you're still reading or not? I'd have to call first to know—"
"I'm going on ahead."
Angelie interrupted their conversation with a loud remark. She then started to walk away again.
When Fumika saw this, she immediately smiled. Assured of her victory, Fumika tried to grab Akuma's hand, but he suddenly turned around to follow Angelie.
