The next morning, Sam sat in the guest lounge, his usually calm face a little irritated as he glanced at his wrist watch.
Ashley Quinn was more than half an hour late for their appointment.
Was she intentionally late?
Sam frowned, she did not seem like the kind that could miss a work appointment.
Maybe something had happened to her.
He hurriedly walked to the reception and asked for her room number but the woman was reluctant to give him the information that he needed to know.
"You don't understand, she might be in trouble." Sam explained seriously, his face etched with worry until the receptionist gave in and decided to escort him to Ashley's room.
Sam knocked on her door and when there was no reply after several knocks, the woman that was with him swiped the card on the lock and the door opened.
