The start of it all.

One day Eleanor was walking through a calm meadow, when suddenly, it started to rain. Nellie, (short for Eleanor) noticed an old woman and being the kind-hearted woman she is she went to help her. Little did she know this would be the worst decision of her life...

The little old lady was carrying 3 shopping bags; they weren't too heavy though. Once Nellie had reached her, she asked the old lady if she needed help. Of course the old lady accepted the offer. Whilst walking, Eleanor started asking the lady random questions. The last one she asked was where the lady's house was.

"Not too far away sweetie," she answered.

Nellie was starting to get worried as they got further and further into the deep dark woods. Fortunately, a few after the lady pointed to something and said that this was her house. When Nellie turned her head, she saw a grand house at least 3 floors she thought. The woman asked Nellie if she would want to come inside for a cup of coffee and some pie just as a thank you. Nellie obviously not thinking anything of it accepted the offer and entered the house, not realising how much trouble was getting herself into.

10 minutes into their conversation in the kitchen, Nellie realises something.

"Sorry miss but I completely forgot to ask you what your name was. Don't think rude of me."

The old lady chuckled and said that it was fine and that her name was Theodora Hill.

Nellie had once heard about a Theodora Hill. She remembered all the short stories her parents had once told her. The stories about the Haunting of the Hill House. Now that she thought of them again she realised that it was all one story about one specific house...

The house that she was sitting in right now. Thoughts started rushing through her head and she sat frozen not knowing what to do. Meanwhile Theodora was in the kitchen unaware that Nellie knew any of the things about her. Nellie's mind finally caught up to her thoughts; she thought that she would have time to run so she got out of her seat and bolted for the door. However this was just her imagination.

Her mind had played a trick on her it made her believe that she was capable of running away. Instead, she was laying unconscious in one of the empty rooms in the house. Once she realised that she was asleep she got really worried. Nellie thought about her parents and about how she was meant to be home by now. They must be starting to get really worried.
