Socializing

They sat on in silence for a little bit before Sonya rolled her eyes and spoke first. "Well my name is Sonya!" She quickly stood up and extended her hand towards Erica and Samuel with a small smile, Samuel's first impressions of her had been that of a stuck up noble princess, but here she was extending her hand even smiling. Both Erica and Samuel returned the handshake and noticed she did not extend her hand to Ulma, but the two seemed to know eachother already for better or worse (probably worse)

Ulma snorted but followed suit and extended her hand to Erica, "Pleasure to meet ya! Name's Ulma! But you can call me Ul!" She gave Erica a nod to show respect. She did not however extend her hand toward Samuel, leaving him confused but he did not show it. But it did make him take a closer look at her, and she was indeed familiar to him - although he could not put his finger on it.

"You dont remember me do you?" Ulma said to him after noticing his thinking face. "Can't say that I do! Sorry!" Samuel said with an indifferent shrug. "I mean seriously! You really are the prick I took you for!" Ulma said in slight anger. Now both Sonya and Erica were very interested, this had taken an unexpected turn and to hear something first hand like this was really interesting.

"Why dont you think long and hard about it?!" Ulma said and released her long white hair from the pins holding it in place, while staring at him with her deep green and brown eye, which instantly made his memory click. "Thief Girl!" Samuel said with a smile, which made Ulma blush out of pure anger and embarrassment. Her left eye twitching, "Like I said! An asshole!" Ulma quickly turned heel and left to her room with angry footsteps.

Samuel turned to see the other two girls looking at him with big question marks, making him sigh. He was not going to get out of this one without a bit of explaining. So for the remainder of the evening he told Sonya and Erica his one year story in the small town he had trained with Faleah and all his small adventures related to that.

Both the girls did not seem in the least bored by his story telling and listened intensely until the dark of night was upon them. He had of course slimmed the story down quite a bit, leaving many parts out but it still took some time explaining it. He of course left out his origins from a village in the middle of nowhere that had been destroyed, as well as his condition and wound related to his dying and coming back.

As they noticed how late it was they decided to call it for a night and Sonya and Erica went to their own rooms, while Samuel sat up a little bit more writing in his books. To his surprise he heard one of the girls come back down after a short while had passed. He did not pay mind to the noise and instead kept on writing.

Samuel almost literally jumped out of his chair when a female voice spoke close behind him. "Why did you leave out the part about saving me?" Ulma asked her curiosity piqued. For Samuel had changed the story, in his version he didn't save anyone or help anyone, he had merely told his master that there was a thief that had stolen from him using magic in his changed version.

Samuel scoffed at Ulma, "I didn't save anyone, Faleah was the one that saved and helped you! I didn't do anything." Samuel looked back down to his books as he relaxed from the earlier scare.

"Thats not true at all! If it wasn't for you, I would still be stuck in that shithole as an orphan or jobless or worse." Ulma walked up and sat down next to him. "You may be an ass, you might look like you don't care, but I never got the opportunity to thank you!" Ulma thought back to Samuel getting knocked out by Faleah because of a misunderstanding and chuckled to herself. "So thank you!" She said while looking Samuel in the eyes.

He had turned to meet her gaze and met a gaze filled with honesty. "You gave me a future!" Ulma put a hand on his. "If I can ever do anything to help then dont hesitate to ask! I owe you a debt for life!" She said with a small blush and quickly stood up and left back to her room.

'That sneaky thief must have listened to the entire story.' Was the first thought that came to Samuel's mind, he did not notice it but he had a smile on his face for the rest of the night. Even sleeping with it, which made his mouth hurt quite a bit when he woke up and tried to yawn.

A new day and Samuel woke up to angry bashing on his door. So he quickly shuffled out of his bed and opened the door to see who was bashing it. Standing there was a fuming Bregane, "Seriously KID FIRST DAY! LATE!" Samuel quickly swallowed and realized what time it was after looking at the clock. Furthermore, Bregane had come to get him which meant that he must have been super late.

Samuel quicker than ever before got dressed faster than ever before and he quickly packed his belongings and rushed after Bregane who was already way on his way.

When he finally arrived an almost an hour late to the class, he noticed everyone turn to look at him. He quickly apologized to the professor by giving him a deep bow and noticed his teammates sitting together at the back with an empty spot, so he quickly ran over and sat next to them with a sigh.

The class quickly resumed and he realized it was something about theory of magic that was going to be running for most of the day, their own mentors were not present for class, but Bregane had still dragged him there since they had been present at the beginning of the class before being dismissed.

Samuel did not miss all the people who gave him weird looks or were whispering about him from time to time. 'A candidate that comes late being a disgrace to the school' and so on and on. All kinds of trashtalking, but he did not let it get to him because he soon started dozing off in the middle of class. But he managed to stay half awake while leaning back which made it look like he was paying attention.

Unfortunately others that sat close to him probably noticed, Samuel could not tell why he was suddenly so tired and had overslept, he yawned himself awake properly somewhere around lunch time and followed his team to eat lunch. He ate in silence, while Sonya and Ulma bickered back and forth or talked a lot with Erica. The lunch helped him stay in focus for the rest of the afternoon class which he spent most of his time actually writing shit down.

By the time the day was over Samuel felt spent, he was extremely tired and did not do anymore talking, he simply went back to their house and went to sleep in his room.

Only being woken up by a horrible scream that made every part of his being scream in pain with it.

Just a tad bit anti social.
