"No it is not your fault it's just tha-....."

"Hey Yuuta! What's up Is everything okay? You seem flustered!!"

A strange voice asked Yuuta from behind while tapping his back.

"Uh?!!.....Oh! Ronald it's you nothing i am totally okay. It's just that i forgot to complete my project today...."

Yuuta replied while trying to maintain his composure.

"Are you sure??It doesn't seem so why are these seniors here aren't they supposed to be class? They seem to be bothering you do you want me to call our teacher?"

Ronald asked concerned tone.

"No! no it's fine we're just friends they came to check up on me as last wekend was my birthday"

Yuuta replied with a fake smile.

"Ohh! was it last weekend i totally forgot...my bad well 'Happy Belated Birthday to you!!'"

Ronald replied

Noone ever used to remember yuuta's birthday even though he had 'Many Friends' no one ever used to wish them a happy birthday he was a very polite and bashful person unless you pissed him of because he had a really short temper so he never used to talk to people much in school the friends that he had were form his grade school and one of them was ronald he was a really self obsessed delinquent and his neighbour who all the girls in the class used to talk to he wasn't very good in academics he was one of yuuta's 'best friend' yuuta never understood why girls loved to talk to him so much even though he was mean to all of them and they used top laugh it all off he used to think doesn't it hurt when someone is mean to you for so long and you still laugh and talk to them he just thought the girls of his school were strange in this aspect but it didn't used to bother him that much.

"Fine i'll try and do it before you submission is due."

Yuuta replied it a little annoyed look on his face and the seniors left.

"What submission?!What are you talking about Yuuta?"

Ronald asked in a bewildered tone.

Yuuta then explained everything to ronald and asked for his help to make an excuse to his teacher that he wasn't able to complete his work beacuse his uncle was sick and rushed to the hospital and ronald will act as a witness as ronald was already yuuta's neighbour.

"Good Morning Mam!!"

The class stood up shouting when the teacher entered.

"Good Morning children. Sit down now and show me the project that i gave you last weekend i hope all of you have completed it haven't you?"

The teacher asked in a threatning tone.

"Yes Mam!"

The class replied confidently.

And on the last bench was yuuta sitting with a expressionless face.While glancing around the room and seeing yuuta's expressionless face the teacher started to doubt if he had completed the project she said.

"You at the back! What is your name? Stand up and bring your project to my desk you better have completed it."

The teacher said while her eyeballs struggling to stay in the eye sockets.

"No mam i am really sorry i have not completed my project but there's a valid reason for it if you would like to listen to it."

Yuuta replied in a shivering voice.

"Oh yeah!?and just what that might be?"

Teacher asked in a mocking tone.

"You see teacher on last weekend my uncle got really very sick and we rushed him to the hospital and came home late at night and i was really very tired and totally forgot about the project if you don't believe me ask ronald he's my neighbour he'll tell you the truth because there were a lot of people outside my house."

Yuuta replied in a confident voice.

"Oh i see...ronald is it true?"

The teacher asked.

As ronald stood up yuuta was really happy and kind of very calm knowing that it will workout and he will be let off the hook for this once and then ronald stood up and said.

"Huh?!!?your uncle was sick and was rushed to the hospital but i just met him this morning and no there was no crowd outside your house instead wasn't it your birthday last weekend??"

Ronald said.

Yuuta stopped celebrating his birthday after he was 9 so it was obvious that there was no party at his house or any guests invited he just used to go to his cousin's house for the whole day to have some fun and play games and so nobody knew about his birthday except ronald and to him as well he told in the morning even though every single friend of yuuta knew about each other's birthday they never used to ask or even try to remember his birthday but yuuta never seem to mind it he just used to see his friends organising a surprise birthday party for his other friends he used to feel kind of jealous and upset but he used to ignore those feelings.

Yuuta was shocked to hear this from ronald's mouth the person he was so trustful of betrayed him?!It was like all his calmness came crashing down and his face was turned pale.

"The teacher then looked at yuuta and said is it the truth?!"

yuuta knew that arguing would get him nowhere at this point as much angry and upset as he was he controlled his emotions he was almost on the verge of crying with an upset tone he said.

"Yes mam this is the truth but this doesn't mean that i didn't completed on purpose as ronald mentioned it was my birthday and i wasn't home for the whole day and also i have completed and submitted all my projects till now and never missed anyone can you please just let me off the hook this once?"

yuuta replied in a requesting tone while trying the best to hold his tears back.

"No! First you didn't completed your project and moreover you lie about it i will have to call your parents and tell them this."

The teacher replied while telling yuuta to meet her in the principal's office.

Yuuta's school was strict when it came down to the completion and submission of the given projects and homeworks on due date and also about lying or making excuses.

After the teacher called his parents and he returned to the class his day was spent in horror about what will happen when he gets back home and so when the break bell rang and he gave the projects to his seniors he went straight to ronald and said....
