Date in the arcade

it's already a month since I returned to this world, I spent most of my time in the club reading any book I couldn't find elsewhere and before I knew it I started to enjoy reading more than I expected.

the other members are pain in the ass most of the time, but honestly I think they are nice people.

most of the six year I spent in the other world started disappearing, everything seems like a dream no matter how hard I tried to remember it.

now I'm hanging out with Makoto since it's weekend and both of us don't have much to do alone.

it's surprising that even this walking girls magnet can have some time alone, at least on the surface.

I could feel someone stalking us since we came to the arcade. Normally I would check on that person but since my pride was utterly broken when I couldn't defeat master Hiragi in terms of reflexes I can't just go and see because there's a chance I might fail harder.

I spent six years training and defeating monster to reach my current state..No Sawano Aru isn't a weak coward! I have to take the risk and see the dangers all by myself!

"I'm giing to the toilet so go Ahead I'll find you when I get back"

I decided to ignore what Makoto just said because I know it's not a compliment

I started with hiding my existence completely, last time I was so reckless I didn't get to use my full potential.

I used the system to point out the exact place the gazes are coming from and went there cautiously.

after reaching my destination I realized how stupid I look going so far on just some normal human, if she was special I wouldn't be able to notice her without concentration

"Suzuki-san? what are you doing here"

"eh"

The short girl made a sound out of surprise, she really looks adorable when she's not wearing the school uniform.

"I'm not doing anything...Yes I'm definitely not doing anything suspicious! ah...I'm here to try the arcade!"

I can see the exact moment she made this lie, well not that I care about her she could do whatever she wants

"I see, than please have fun."

that was kinda disappointing but I don't have anything to do with her so I'll just let her stalk Makoto for now.

"Sawano-Kun wait a moment..."

her voice is so low a normal dude won't notice it, I thought about faking not hearing but I'm not that harsh am I?

"do you need something?"

"Um..I don't cone to the arcade often so...I don't really know how to play here..."

I can guess as much,I answered her with a nod so she can continue

"I want...can you play with me?"

her voice is getting lower every second,after finishing she freaked out and started moving her hands quickly to explain

"Ah you are not forced to agree! please think about it as a waste of time, yes it is. so please kill me!"

"that escalated far too quickly! why do you even put yourself in such place from the start!"

after calming down we sat in the rest area so she can stop trembling.

"Normally I spend all the day reading but when I saw Tsukasa-kun coming here I thought it would be my chance to talk to him alone!"

"why bother make a lie if you're spitting the truth two seconds later?!"

She ignored my complaints and continued

"I never played any game of those before so I think I would just embarrass myself...at least help me to learn thr basics"

"*sigh* I don't mind it so just stop bowing already"

after I finished talking a big smile was formed on her face, She's so cute I want to protect her.

I decided to start with a simple game of cooperation because it's better to be together than fight each other if you want to show your cute side which Suzuki-san is perfect in

or so I thought

"Die! You Bitch! Die you FUCKING piece of shit"

the girl who's standing besides me and going all out with every bad word she knew is definitely not as cute as I thought...I want someone to protect me from her.

she demolished every enemy she saw while gathering as much attention as she possibly could. I really think we'll be kicked out if she continue

"Eh...Suzuki-san? what about taking a step back and relaxing a bit?"

"HUH?"

"I'm sorry"

I don't even want to try logic right now. by the way she's actually quite good in this game...but her exited state isn't something that Makoto should see.

I took a breath as I calmed down my heart, I used the spell I used before to hide myself on Suzuki-san now. it won't remove her existence completely but at the very least she won't be harassed by it later.

after about half an hour we finished the game, she jumped in her place rising her hands in the sky

I patted her head calmly

"you did well, but maybe try going with a more <silent> attitude if you are playing with makoto, okay?"

"eh? but why?"

"Makoto likes calm girls more, so I thinks you might have a chance If you tried acting a little quiter"

she really didn't hear herself...I don't have the courage to tell her...

after that we went through some more games and ended our "date" before 5 pm, I walked her to the station feeling some weird things in my heart.

"Uh...Thanks for today Sawano-Kun. I am really glad that you were there."

"no don't mind it I was just..."

ah! I know what I was feeling.

"did something happen?"

"no don't worry about it, see you at school"

after I made sure she's far enough I shouted with all of my power

"YOU FORGOT TO HANG OUT WITH MAKOTO!"

I was training her so she can play with him and ended up taking his place!

I got a notification from my phone, at first I thought I gained the title [dumb]. however it was an emoji from a chatting app

After reading it's content I smiled and closed my phone. with a happy smile I started humming a song until reaching my home, yeah I forgot Makoto again.
