Prologue

"Happy birthday, Lunox."

Lunox face a was filled by kisses. It's her 18th birthday today. And for the eighteen years of her existence, chaos enveloped her system. It's been almost two decades since the final battle started. Everyday, they have to hide. Her parents will often leave her inside their house to join the battle.

"Thank you, mother Celestine." She smiled and kissed her mother's cheeks.

"Your father will be here in an hour. Everything will be fine, darling. This desperation will end."

"Until when mother? Can you please tell me my identity? You see, people look up to me for no reason at all. I don't get it. I haven't done anything, I'm just gurl with a weird hair color."  She whined like a kid, rolling her eyes. She was never a fan of her hair, she finds it weird.

Having a blonde hair on the right and black on the left is truely unsual for a teenager like her.

Her mother just chuckled and let out a heavy sigh. She was about to storm out of the room when Lunox tightly grabbed her wrist.

"Please stay. For me, please." Lunox was begging for her mother to stay. Her eyes were full of sadness. Ever since, she always wanted to be with her parents 24/7 but she couldn't. She couldn't stop them from going to the battle beacuse it's her parent's duty.

Lunox will always pray to the Lord of Lights to keep her parents safe. She definitely know that she still needs them by her side.

Celestine wants to stay but she can't leave her duty. God knows how she loves her daughter and it pains her everytime they have to leave Lunox alone.

She hugged Lunox so tightly and kissed her daughter's forehead. She said, "We love you, alright? Don't worry about us. If something bad happens, you know what to do. It's about time." You can hear pain in her voice.

And with that, Lunox was left in her room again. All alone. So she silently cried.

"Why is our dear Lunox crying?"

Lunox's eyes grew bigger and broke her gaze. Miya just saw her crying and that's a bad thing! It's always Miya seeing her cry like a baby.

Miya is a moon elf by race. She's named as the Moonlight Archer from the Temple of the Moon. A marksman and a close friend of Lunox.

"As usual." Lunox looked to her and gave a weak smile. "Why the hell are you here? Forgot about your duty?" She asked.

"Damn that duty. I've been searching for that king who could bring peace and order back to this world like for ages. " She said and went to her side and started playing her bows.

"Having abilities is fun...isn't it?" Lunox asked Miya out of nowhere. Her abilities never showed up until now. Maybe she's a late bloomer just like what her mom says or maybe she doesn't have one. She hope so not.

"Yeah. Fun. But the responsibilities are bigger than you expect." Miya sighed and stood up as she bids good bye to Lunox.

"I have to go. Keep safe and Happy Birthday!" Miya shouted and stucked her tounge out.

Lunox laughed. Miya can be so serious at times but she's really silly, noisy, she never fails to make her laugh.

Miya is the opposite of Lunox.

She was about to go out of her room to eat when she suddenly felt dizzy. And then voices speaking in quite voice filled her room making her head scream due to the unbearable pain.

"The one with the power to balance order and chaos, come to me."

Lunox's heart beats so fast that it hurts. She can't scream. She can't breath.

"Lunox.. A wonderful lady. It's about time. Accept your fate and everything will be fine."

She gasped for air as she fell to the floor. Hadn't realized she was holding her breath the entire time. Her whole body is trembling, her knees are too weak. Her heart is throbbing.

What was that?

Her room went so quite, only her breath is audible. She stared at her door when a sound of footsteps ringed her ears.

It was a guy.

His face cannot be seen with the bright light surrounding him. It was burning Lunox's eyes as she rubs her hand into them, trying to adjust.

"The Lord of Lights sent me here."  His tone is stiff and surly.

Lunox nodded, but it took her a moment to find her voice. "Whatdoyouwant?" —she delivered as one word.

"I'm just here to tell you the prophecy that the Lord made." He merely chuckled.

"What prophecy?" She asked, unable to contain her curiosity.

"It's for you to know, if only you come with me." His voice hardened as he spoke.

"And why should I go with you?" Lunox spoke in a quiet tone.

"Because I'm your guardian."

Oh shit!

The Shining-faced guy suddenly tugged her and stepped out our room.  She felt her skin burning. That guy is hot, like literally hot.

"I feel like after this, I'm gonna have a heat stroke and a nth degree burn!" She mentally nagged.

"Where are we going?" She cooly asked but she got no answer.

"Where are we going? Hey!" Still no response.

"Where the fuck are we going you son of the sun who shines so bright that it hurts my skin!??!" She said, yelling at the guy.

He's starring daggers at Lunox, making her zip her mouth and regret what she did moments ago.

She was busy nagging the guy pulling her secretly when a loud thud snapped her back into reality.

"Oh my God." She sucked in her breath and gasped when she saw the wide gold gate saying..

Ναός του Λόρδου των φω'των

"Why am I here in the temple of the Lord of Lights?"

Once again she got no response. Like hello? The temple is sacred, only the Lord stays here with his servants. The guy tugged her once again, passing the gate to the huge wooden door. Servants welcomed them and took them to the basement where the Lord was waiting, they say.

A servant bowed at her and suddenly plunges her into the room. When she looked back to the hallway, the guy she was looking for was nowhere to be found. The unsual intense atmosphere inside the room gave her chills.

An orbuculum appeared in front of her. She stiffend. Everything went dark but the crystal ball's lights flickered on. It was violet and yellow.

"The one with the power to balance order and chaos approaches... born to those who sacrificed their lives to end desperation. She will sacrifice herself by accepting her fate. Dreamland.. in her dreamland everything will be equal. As the first century dies, a boy will wake her up and her duty will never end....."

She closed her eyes. A lot of scenarios clouded her mind. She saw her parents, Miya, fighters and innocent people dying.. babies crying, children seeking for help.

"If this is the only way to stop this desperation who can destroy every one and everything I love, I must accept it." You can hear gritty sound on Lunox's voice. "I will take my fate, my Lord." She continued.

"I know you will, Lunox."

She slowly closed her eyes, her eyelids felt heavy. And the next thing she knew, she was already in a deep slumber just like Sleeping Beauty.

"I hope I did the right choice for my land."
