Armed forces swarmed the streets. I had made a pact with a family of mages from the spade kingdom, who will give us military power that can rival the Susanoo clan. I held hope in my head. One of the great dwarven clans, the Heph family, had sided with me. with the power of a clan of mages and the whole dwarfen army, pride filled my head as we charged to the streets, rushing into the Susanoo clan.

but I couldn't shake the fear that man had to give me when he told me what he was going to do with me. i shall make him beg under me while I execute him.

resistance at the Susanoo clan gate was guaranteed. mages of all calibre held their alchemical grimoires, using it to amplify their own spells

Terra, that bastard, was on a throne in the sky , watching the battle and giving a laugh every minute or so. I charged in with my forge magic, knocking out the Susanoo members and rushing deeper and deeper into the base. but I didn't realise that the armed forces were a little taste of the Susanoo clan's power. after storming a mile into the base, the first general of the susanoo clan looked at us and sighed

"I would escape if I was you, and never come back."

Confidence filled my head as I shouted and taunted "You only say that cause your losing! Charge!"

my men shouted in high moral as they rushed to the man, who gave a sigh before running deeper into the base

"Didn't say I warned ya"

feeling a strong mana prescene behind him, I saw terra behind us, giving us a smile.

"If you went, I would have spared your men. but you didn't, and now this is the cost."

his alchemical grimoire shone of light, as a large steel pillar erupted behind us.

I understood now. we were pincered. the troops outside were merely cannon fodder to lead us down. the mages downstairs are probably more powerful than my men

Figures flashed into the room, beheading the spatial mage that was readying the portal to our escape.

"Teleportation?" I shouted. Ki was not to be underestimated

"AIM FOR THE GENERALS!" I shouted as I did my best to make a clearing to the outside. I didn't want to die here, that was for sure. I used my men as bait as I grabbed my large hammer and started pounding at the steel. it wouldn't budge, as my men turned into 90 men, then 80. the number was dropping down, as every man of mine slid to the ground, a blade implanted in their chest

the men approached mew, causing me to scream

they stopped, before saying

"Did terra really say not to kill this coward?"

"Yeah, the young master had a different use for him."

"Ok , that's fine."

they walked down, and the steel pillar broke down, allowing me to go outside

I laughed. I didn't care about my troops, I got out, and that was all that mattered. all I had to say was some propaganda and then they would believe m-

a voice amplified by magic was present in the courtyard, it was terra, talking to the dwarfs

"My fellow dwarfs." He muttered "Today is a New day for dwarfs. we shall become the best race to roam on the earth, and show the other races who stands at the apex of the world. our land, eiden, had been ruled by corrupt dwarfs for the past thousands of years. it was time to change. the revolution is what will lead us to a new age, where the dwarfs can stand up to the humans, the dragons. i , or we, do not wish to become like the elfes, powerless to the humans. we shall become hidden leaders of the world. ruling the world of how we seek fit. all of us will become kings and queens, and I shall stand upon all as a monarch. " Terra muttered

fear hit my heart as I looked towards the masses of people that had given under him. children, adults and the elderly were all giving him their support, which instantly threw a bucket of cold water over him

"I AM THE REAL MONARCH, ALL OF YOU SHALL BOW BEFORE ME, NOT HIM!" I screamed at the masses. non of them bowed, but just looked at me with disdain and fury in their eyes, they ignored my existence , listening to the man before them.

"We shall take the sky, as gods we stand invisible to the outside world," Terra muttered, chanting something. the whole island seemed to crumble away from the ground, as a large magic circle that surrounded the island was shown. the island started floating up, which caused some panic, but the people trusted Terra and his words

"We shall stand as one."

the page was cut short, causing Zakai to look at the other pieces of paper, but they were old political documents that nobody cared about

"Looking at the floating island, I'm sure no amount of a normal clans mana would fuel this island."

"Yeah." The dryad muttered

"Which means that there's something fueling it, and I think I know what it is." Zakai thought, jumping down and walking to the Susanoo clan building. the buildings were completely fine, but the skeleton near the gate was a bit eerie

blowing away all the dust inside, Zakai walked down, before seeing a book that a skeleton had near it

"A man-made grimoire huh?" Zakai thought, opening and seeing its insides. all it was was complex magic circles engraved in each page that did different things

"I need to learn more about magic circles." Zakai thought storing the book in his pocket and walking into the stairwell

"Dryad, what do you think happened?"

"There's a high chance that that demon that man had contracted had gone rogue and killed everyone on the island."

Fucking Laplace. what a coincidence. my fate and that bastard's fate must be intertwined or something.

walking deeper, Zakai felt a prescene, causing him to pull out a scythe

it was a faint mana prescene, but he wasn't stupid

"Come out."

A small girl came out of a corner, her tears running down her face

"State who you are." Zakai got ready to use his Scythe. this could be not a human

"Um, if I'm right I'm testing subject #0129328." She muttered, before looking at me "Who are you, big bro?"

"Dryad!" Zakai screamed "What is a girl doing here? scan her mana."

"..." Dryad said, "You need to kill her."

"I refuse. tell me who she is."

"She's a ticking time bomb , if you want to know."

"TELL ME!"

".." Dryad muttered "She's a combination of every mana signal that probably lived on the island. which means those skeletons, are a result of her birth if I have to guess."

the girl tilted her head, before muttering "Uh, my mother is running a bit late. big brother, do you have any food?"

Zakai looked at her head and saw something weird encrusted in her head. it was an orange stone, with a star in it.

It was a magic stone.
