Eirene looked at the countless children on the floor and nodded to herself, before walking over to her father, who congratulated her

Korag clapped his hands, before ending the qualifiers

"The Quater finals are about to begin," Korag said, causing the crowd to cheer

"First, is Juugo vs Elias."

The crowd's eyes sharpened hearing this. Zelk vs Eirene was putting Eirene at a disadvantage, and Zorag probably chose that on purpose

Elias smiled hearing this.

Elias and Yuugo both jumped down, as Yuugo looked towards his expression with a determined expression

however, instead of drawing his sword, Yuugo looked towards his brother with a smile

Elias put his needles away and looked at Yuugo, who started talking

"You don't stand a hell of a chance against Eirene, we both know that," Juugo said, looking toward the boy, who gave a reluctant nod

Juugo walked over to the boy, that didn't move

"I'll be trying to teach you the breathing technique in this 30 minutes we have," Juugo muttered, before looking at the boy

The crowd burst up in an uproar, expecting a battle to take place, not a tutoring session

to do the breathing technique, all you had to do was have full concentration on the surroundings, and not look sense or smell anything, and you must be solely focused on using your blade.

A lot of knowledge was crammed in the 30 minutes, and by the end, Elias could only do it for a few seconds, causing Juugo to sigh

"It took me more than a year and a half to reach 5 minutes and you reached a couple of seconds in 25 minutes." Juugo grumbled, before looking at Korag, who stared back "i forfeit."

"Are you sure young man?" Korag looked at the boy

"I would have lost anyway," Juugo grumbled, walking off

"5-minute break until the finals commence."

Eirene had easily beat Zalk, which was no surprise.

while walking into stands, a boy appeared before Elias with his sword

It was Roshi , the person Juugo won against

"Damn, I'm going to get in so much trouble..." The boy grumbled, before passing Elias a sword he had used earlier

"No fire can melt this sword, and I've seen even father cut through the fire with it, so I have confidence you can." Roshi quickly clarified something "D-DONT GET THE WRONG IDEA I DONT WANT TO HELP YOU! I JUST WANTED TO SEE MY ARCH-NEMESIS BROTHER FAIL! YEAH! THAT'S IT!" He reassured himself

Elias stared blankly at the boy who was rambling and walked back onto the temple area before his eyes fell upon a girl, whose eyes fell upon him

"You did well, for a black horse in the competition." Her ears scanned my body "But this is where your reign ends."

The girl shot a beam of light at the boy , who twisted the pitch-black sword and reflected the light back at her, stunning her

A breathing sound could be heard as the girl made a dome of fire, causing Elias to stop breathing and wait for her.

his best option was to stall her out of mana, but she probably had a larger mana pool than a second seal him, so he waited for her to release the flame dome that enveloped her.

the boy suddenly put his hands on his pouch and grabbed the poison powder that is created once Piwik petals and foxglove poison are combined and sprinkled it on a needle

that kind of poison was more deadly than the poisoned needle, but it risks falling off in mid-air

the moment the girl dispelled the flames, a needle was shot at her, causing her to scoff and burn it

her reaction time wasn't going to be underestimated

the boy decided to dodge the countless clustered fireballs coming his way and close the distance, his breathing suddenly rapidly expanding

in a panic, Eirene made a dome of fire to discourage the boy, but the strength was rapidly increasing

*Slice*

the fire was cut in half, and Eirene received a heavy slash that ranged down from her collarbone to her leg

the wound instantly started to regenerate, causing the boy to jump backwards and parry the next fireball with his sword, of which managed to block some of the fireballs

the boy stared blankly at his scorched skin and looked at the girl blankly.

Her wound healed and her clothes instantly regenerated causing the boy to raise his eyebrow

The boy raised his hand and admitted defeat, causing Korag to sigh

"Eirene is the winner."

"Wait." Her eyes fell upon me "I shall wait till you gain your grimoire and then we shall fight once more. my wish is to give Elias the wish"

"Under what grounds?"

"The fact that i have a relic on my body that had partially stopped and regenerated the blow and due to the age difference of two years."

Korag gave a sigh, before saying "As you wish."

people were murmuring about how he shouldn't have won, but Elias simply ignored them

"Boy, speak. what is your wish?"

The boy put his hands on his head before a piece of paper was given to him to write on due to his inability to speak

the boy was thinking

"What do I want?" The boy thought to himself

"Full access to the botanical gardens."

"Accepted."

A weird request, but Korag noted it off as someone who likes to be around plants

the boy smiled hearing this before everyone in the crowd started to disperse.

after giving back the sword to Roshi, Paraona had to drag an exhausted Elias and Juugo back home

it was going to be a long rest, that was for sure.
