Chapter 5

***(we continue)***

Ramp City was not that big of a city compared to the massive ones in this country. It was relatively small with population of about

10 000 people, surrounded by mountains with a river flowing through it. The SLFO station was located in the suburb area of the city. The building was looking fitting for a mid class citizen to live in. It was a 8 story block building. Eliot was observing it from a bench, on the opposite side of the road. He was waiting for Seryoja to call him. Seryoja was talking with someone next to the building. The man was wearing the same clothes as Seryoja except that he didn't have a long coat but rather a normal sized jacket that wasn't going all the way to his knees, and the sleeves were grey. They talked for around 10 minutes and Seryoja called for Eliot.

-Let's go inside. - He said.

-Hey, so how long will you keep me out of the stuff connected with the SLFO?- asked Eliot kind of annoyed from the fact that there are still things he doesn't know- I've been with you for around a week and yet every time you talk with someone from from the organisation you make sure I don't hear anything, why is that?

-Well we have a codex to not share information with outsiders so don't get too frustrated. I do believe you and have no problem sharing with you, however I don't want to have problems with the higher ups - answered Seryoja - so it's better to wait until you become part of the organisation. I hope you understand my reasoning for keeping you in the dark.

They got closer to the entrance of the building.

-Okay, I'll wait until then I guess... - said Eliot still curious about what he was still not telling him.

They entered the building.

The inside of it was nothing out of the ordinary. It had stairs that led to different apartments and an elevator.

While the building on itself was nothing special the unordinary part of it was below the ground. In the basement there was a hidden passage that led to an elevator, which led to the real hideout of the SLFO in this city.

The hideout wasn't much of a thing either. It had two floors. The first one was for the people working in it and the second one was for the supplies and weapons. The reason this hideout was built here is to protect the small population of the city. Of course the citizens weren't aware of it. It was basically a hidden protector for them.

Eliot and Seryoja stoped here to take some supplies and a vehicle. They wouldn't have to worry about those things if they still were on the train however that was impossible given the situation so it was safer to travel with means that weren't public, for both them and the civilians.

-So how long will we be staying in here? - asked Eliot

-Not long, 2-3 hours at least or 1 day at most, depending if there is something we can help with or not.

-Hey Seryoja, come here for a second if you can will you? - asked an unknown person standing next to a map of the city that was positioned in the middle of the room.

-Yo, Flint! What's going on? Something we could be helping with? - asked Seryoja

Flint was a guy in his early 20's that had brown hair, with no facial hair and around 1,70 meters tall. The clothing he was wearing was the same as the one of the guy Seryoja was talking to before entering the building. As Eliot was looking at him, he continued talking with Seryoja.

- Currently no, which brings me to the

question - What brings a Soul Purifier like you to our small city?

-Well we were travelling by a train to Rantio but the White Order got in our way. They even sent Sullivan so we had to leave the train as soon as possible and it just happened that Ramp City was the nearest town to where we got off so here we are now. - explained Seryoja

-Huh, I guess the higher ups got you into a mess once again, otherwise why would the White Order sent Sullivan. - said Flint

-Well it wasn't that big of a problem considering they sent him without a gear suitable for fighting someone of my caliber. They gotta stop underestimating us otherwise it'd bite them in the ass later. - said Seryoja annoyed that he had to use his holy piece power to get out quickly from the situation the White Order had created.

-Yeah, anyway, so how can I help you? - asked Flint who had nothing else to say about the situation Seryoja and Eliot went through.

-Can you lend us some supplies and some kind of a vehicle? - asked Seryoja

-Well i can help you with the supplies...- said Flint - however the only means of transport we have in here is a boat with which you can get to Pustin. Thats the only way i can help you with transportation, im sorry for which. - Apologised Flint and looked at Seryoja - Will it be enough?

-Of course it would be. Pustin is bigger city than Ramp City so the SLFO base in there is bigger as well. Im sure that they could help us, also it's on the way to Rantio either way. - said Seryoja

- Okay then, let's go on the second floor. - said Flint and led the way towards the second floor.

Eliot was quietly listening to them and had nothing to say either way so he followed them. While walking Flint asked:

-By the way who is the small guy with you? - said Flint, clearly making fun of Eliot's height as Eliot was 1,55 while Seryoja was 1,85 which made Eliot look like a smurf next to him.

-I'm Eliot, nice to meet you mr. Flint. - said Eliot, not paying attention to the joke.

-Nice to meet you as well. - said Flint and smiled at Eliot. - So how come you are accompanying one of the strongest people in our organisation, Eliot?

-Actually I myself don't know, you should ask Seryoja if you want to know, not me. - said Eliot and looked at Seryoja, clearly still curious as to why he must go with him all the way to Rantio.

-Well... I can't currently explain why to neither of you... When time comes you'll know however at the moment i am not allowed to share information connected to why he is with me. - answered Seryoja, annoyed by answering this again.

-Okay, if you say so I guess it's none of my concern then. - said Flint. - Anyway, here we are, take whatever you need.

-We sure will. - said Seryoja and smiled.

***(time passes)***

-Okay, I think thats all we need for now. The ride to Pustin is about a day so we won't need much supplies.

They took a bag of food and a couple of water bottles, as well as a revolver, which Seryoja wanted for Eliot so that he could protect himself, and bullets for the weapon. Seryoja didn't need anything for himself which is why they took so little with themselves. The boat was as well on the second floor of the base.

-So how are we going to get it out of here? - asked Eliot.

- Well there is a tunnel that the SLFO created for us to come out of and to bring us supplies when needed, it leads to the river, just outside of the city, so that people won't see us. - Explained Flint.

-Oh i see. Well thats one handy exit. - said Eliot.

-Okay, enough chit-chat, let's get going Eliot. - said Seryoja.

Eliot got on the boat and they headed out.On their way out Flint waved at them and said:

-Come back whenever you want!

-We will! - said Seryoja clearly happy that everything went down without problems. The boat went smoothly through the tunnel and before they knew it they were in the river already.

-Okay, so all we do now is wait till we get there, right? - asked Eliot.

-Yeah, there is nothing else we can do now. I'll try catching some sleep, try it as well if you are tired. - said Seryoja and lied down on the floor of the small boat. - Oh and wake me up in a couple of hours if you can, i want to teach you how to use the revolver.

-I will. - said Eliot.

It was noon so it was very hot. The breeze of the river was making the temperature more bearable. The journey they were on continued towards the next destination.
