Chapter 7: Great

Apart from the fact that I was scared senseless, the only thing that was going through my mind at that moment was

"Wow, this is the most shameless man I've ever met in my life".

He's actually telling me the choice is all mine with guns pointing at my head. Who does that? well I guess he does.

Chuck who was by my side was shacking like a fish out of water. He looked so scared I felt pity for him.

Then I heard Mr Charles voice again.

"Jason, I'm not trying to pressure you here. This job isn't going to be free of course, just because we give to the poor doesn't mean we don't earn as well. We know you took the thirty million for your mother's sake, so what's the difference if you work for us".

While singing he continued.

" Look to be honest with you I didn't expect what happened to happened, I don't know how your the one who ended up picking the money. I don't know if it's coincidence or if it's fate, but what ever the case is you're here already and I'm not letting you go. So just make things easier for the both of us would you".

I just stood there not understanding fifty percent of what he was talking about. But the other part made me think he's right. The only reason I agreed with chuck to take the money was because I was thinking only of my mom. So what's the difference if I join their organization, like Charles said we're stealing for the poor, and I am the poor.

After thinking about it in that direction, I smiled bitterly and said to him.

" Mr Charles, I guess your right. What do I have to lose, I'll be willing to join as long as my friend chuck agrees as well". While saying that I turned to look at chuck for his answer.

When chuck saw that all eyes were on him, he shivered while saying" o..f cou..rse I'll join you guys".

"Great!!"

Mr Charles exclaimed.

"Welcome to B.M.O Jason and chuck. I knew you guys would make the right decision".

"Right decision my foot" I thought.

Did you give us a choice you shameless man. But I kept my thoughts to myself and just smiled while saying.

" Thank you for the opportunity Mr Charles, we promise to try our best to meet your expectations".

He just  laughed while saying.

"That's the spirit, I'm sure you will be professionals in no time. Ok come with me, I already arranged plans for your training".

"Arranged plans" I thought speechless.

So he already had full confidence in himself that he was going to make us agree. This man's shamelessness has no limits.

He lead the way having no idea I was busy cursing him in my head. He took us out of the room and lead us down the hallway. We walked for a while in silence before coming up on another elevator which automatically took us up to another floor.

This floor had just one door in it. After we entered into it, what came into view was a large size modern office. This office was at least five times the size of Chuck's room.

It had a working desk with comfortable lether chairs, a mini bar, a lounge,a smart TV and some machines at the Conner which I don't recognize.

He sat down on his chair and signaled us to seat as well. Then he cleared his throat and said.

" So you guys are to begin your training at once, I've already prepared the flight for chuck, he is going to be leaving tomorrow mor.....".

Before he could finish speaking, I interrupted him saying

"Wait, what do you mean by flight, we never agreed about leaving this city, and more importantly why did you mention only Chuck's name when talking about the flight?".

"Jason, don't make things complicated for us. The reason why were sending Chuck out is because we have one of the best training centers in Europe. This is just a branch of the organization and the people that train here are those who already have a base in the job. So it would be wise for him to go that way for fast results" He said slowly.

I nodded understandingly, but still asked.

"But why is Chuck the only one going for this special training, I don't have the bases in the job as well. So why can't I go as well".

"There are a lot of reasons why you can't go as well. Let's take for example your mom, who is going to take care of her in your absence, don't tell me you plan on leaving her now that you have a job. And again sending you and chuck to one place will slow down your developments, this is an individual training program so we can't have the both of you in one place. And if your worried about how you are going to train, just leave that to me. Besides the reason I brought you here wasn't for training purposes, but something else" He explained.

"Well I guess he's right, if chuck and I end up in one place we'll just distract each other. And besides I can't just leave my mom here, who was going to look after her. And speaking of my mom, I haven't spoken to her yet. How long have I even been here, I hope she isn't worried about me" I thought anxiously.

Looking at him I said.

"I guess your right on this case, but what's the something else you have planned for me".

"You'll know when the time comes" he said plainly.

Then he continued.

"Ok it's settled then. Chuck will leave for Europe tomorrow morning, and after that we start your own training. So for now you go back home and see your mom, chuck will stay here to prepare for his flight tomorrow. You could come see him off if you wish. I hope we have no problem with the schedule".

I turned to look at chuck who was reluctantly nodding his head. I could tell he was sad about our split up, but there was nothing we could do about it.

"And ohh Jason before I forget, we already settled the matter with your mother so you don't have to bother. We sent someone to tell her you found a job at a company and you were going for an application, and that's why she wasn't able to see you today". He said

I sighed in relief thinking that this is the only good thing this man has done for me today. At least even though he's shameless he isn't stupid.

Then he smiled and said.

"So now that everything is set, I'll get someone to send you home, and give you some documents to show your mom as the job acceptance slip. You don't have to bother, even though we are an underground organization we still have companies on the outside to cover up our activities".

"Outside companies" I thought. This people really are prepared for anything.

I then asked curiously.

"Mr Charles what's the name of the company your speaking of".

He smiled at me weirdly and answered with a chuckle" WE LOVE ICE CREAM "
