Chapter 24

Napatingin sya bigla ng seryoso sa akin dahil sa tanong ko.

"Please Bella...I need answers. Naguguluhan ako sa totoo lang. Everything I know as the truth about Bea has so far been lies. So please tell me about the Barton twins. I need to know."

"I met Nique and Ionne during my  3rd year in uni. Nagpaaudition sila for students who want to join the dance troupe. First year pa lang I wanted to join the school's dance troupe na kaya lang..."

"Let me guess...Bea wouldn't let you!"

"I already prepared my audition piece but the music I prepared suddenly went missing while I was backstage. Then I heard someone announce Bea entering the studio and then she started dancing to the same song I prepared! She got in!"

"Hindi na ako nag-audition...I was so sad dahil sa ginawa ni Bea. I waited for auditions to finish then when everyone was already out of the studio...."

Grabe yung kalabog ng dibdib ko!

I didn't realize that I had been holding my breath.

Bella POV

Hindi ko namalayan na napapikit na pala ako habang inaalala ang araw na iyon.

"...I danced. It was dark and there wasn't even music playing. But I still danced. Hinayaan kong kusang gumalaw ang katawan ko sa musika na nasa puso ko."

"When I finished dancing...I heard someone clap. It was Dominique!"

FLASHBACK

"Bravo Bea! Bravo!"

Hindi ako kumibo.

"Or should I say Bravo Bella! Bravo!"

Agad akong napatingin kay Dominique.

"How...did you know?" takang tanong ko sa kanya.

She turned on the lights before answering me.

"Bakit hindi ka nag-audition kanina?" she asked me instead.

Hindi ako nakapagsalita.

"If you did, ikaw ang makakapasok at hindi ang kakambal mo! Or is that the reason why you didn't?"

"Before I could say anything ay dumating ang kakambal ni Dominique na si Marionne and they tried to convince me to join the dance troupe but I declined. Ayokong mag-away na naman kami ni Bea kapag sumali ako. But that didn't stop them from being my friends."

Nang imulat ko ang mga mata ko at napatingin kay Damon ay hindi ko mabasa kung anong tumatakbo sa utak nya.

"Since then I've been fortunate enough to have a  real friend in Nique and Ionne. Sila yung totoong nakakakilala sa akin."

D POV

Halo-halo ang emosyon na nararamdaman ko ngayon dahil sa mga sinabi ni Bella.

Pero may isang nangingibabaw.

Tumayo ako at lumapit sa kanya.

Kita ko ang pagtataka sa itsura nya.

Nang nasa harapan na ako ni Bella ay inilahad ko ang kamay ko sa kanya.

As soon as her hand touched mine I pulled her into a hug.

This was what I wanted to do that day after I saw her dancing.

Dug dug dug dug

Now I know why my heart beat is crazy when I'm with Bella!

My eyes may have been deceived but my heart was not.
