Shaman Theatrics and Goblin Fanatics - Math Arnottir

I thought to myself;

I haven't actually tried this yet, one of the more important abilities that I have.

/Starved Serpent's Stomach\

Being able to eat and take an ability. Though the chances are low, the number of chances I could have are high. I can't remember the last time I used it either, or even if I used it at all. We'll find out how useful it is now.

I ran at the Shaman, attempting to bait out an attack, but the ground collapsed under us, falling all the way down to a huge cavern.

We were met with water, falling into it. I jumped out from within, gasping for air, and the Captain immediately charged at the Shaman. I felt that something was wrong, running to some ruins to my right and clambering onto it, looking down at the Shaman as the surrounding water is electrified, stunning the Captain.

I cursed under my breath, pulling a gun out from my pocket and firing at the Shaman who simply swayed to the side, the bullet whizzing past the Shaman's head.

The Shaman retaliated with a fire spell, shooting it toward me. I attempted to eat the spell but instead was pushed off from the higher position, falling back into the water, luckily it didn't hurt much. I also fell behind cover, still inside the ruins that sat inside this cave-- more spells being thrown my way, making the wall in front of me shake and give.

I ran out from behind cover, struggling to do so due to the water but an idea came over me. I submerge myself in the water and begin swimming, using my new shapeshifting ability to make myself faster.

I moved myself to some more ruins for cover, the Shaman visibly confused as to where I had gone. The Captain jumped up from behind the Shaman, startling them and I took another shot, hitting them in the shoulder. The Shaman grit their teeth, teleporting some distance away from the both of us, firing an array of magic missiles towards both the Captain and me.

One of the missiles curved around the cover I hid behind, hitting me. I attempted to eat it once more but the attempt failed once again. Luckily I unlinked myself with the Captain before the fight because he was being beaten down by a flurry of missiles, once again submerging himself in the water.

The Shaman grew visibly irritated, planting an array of ice shards into the water, freezing it. Before it could freeze over the Captain, he jumped out, going for many kicks and punches in the Shaman's way, who dodged and blocked with multiple magical shields. I once again shot at the Shaman, hitting it in the leg causing it to teleport once more.

It teleported behind me, already preparing a spear manifestation spell and attempting to stab me with it. I dodged, making my hand claw and swiping at the Shaman. The Shaman looked to be hovering as they quickly avoided my attack. I transformed my other arm, an array of quills forming onto it and shooting out in the Shaman's direction who blocked with a shield.

I changed both of my arms to be more like a gorilla's and I use that to propel myself toward the Shaman using those arms, reeling one back for one hefty punch, being met with another shield.

The Shaman had an ice spell prepared, firing it at me, wherein I dodged, circling the Shaman and attacking once more but with my pistol, whipping it out in one quick motion and firing it at the Shaman's head who quickly moved out of the way, but he wasn't quick enough, the mana bullet still grazing his head.

The Captain jumped on a bit of the ruins that surrounded me and the Shaman, taking a piece of brick with him as he began falling, flipping around, and hitting the Shaman in the head.

The Shaman shrieked, distancing itself from us, firing another flurry of magic missiles towards us. I hardened my body with armament and prepared to eat as many strikes as I could, the Captain jumping into the water, attempting to use that to avoid the resulting damage that he would've had if he just took the damage.

I managed to eat the ability properly after taking a few hits, firing my own magic missile at the Shaman in retaliation.

The Shaman recoiled in shock, blocking the damage with a shield.

I cursed under my breath, realizing that my mana was being depleted at a fast rate.

I jumped onto the bit of ruin poking out from the water, jumping in the air, closing the distance on the Shaman. It fired a few shots at me and I ate as much as I could, though I could take any spells as my own, that isn't important.

I got close to the Shaman, who put a barrier in front of themselves in an attempt to create a bit of distance. I lunged forward, biting at the barrier, pulling it away from him as if it were cloth, firing one shot of my pistol into their leg, causing them to fall into the water, their top half poking out from within. I swiped at the Shaman's neck and cut it open, killing them.

The Shaman's body fell into the water, staining it red.

I pulled and swallowed, ripping the remains of the barrier to shreds, taking the mana within myself. I began partaking in the real meal though, the Shaman. Apparently, I could make them a summon, which I did. I wanted to save one ability for the Goblin Chieftain. To see what I could get. I only have one chance with it after all.

*

I found myself back in the Goblin encampment, going back and continuing my massacre. A few Guards of the Chieftain came, and one fought with the Captain and one began fighting me. I could barely handle the heat, often jumping to other Goblins and eating them, attempting to conserve as much energy as I could.

I took out my Pistol, attempting to fire into one of their legs but missed, the Goblin Guard, slipped past me, grabbed me by the arm, and slammed me into a wall. I became winded and it grew arrogant. I lunged at their neck and they attempted to pry me off, biting down on their jugular as hard as I could, letting the taste of blood fill my mouth.

I pulled my head away, ripping a huge chunk of its throat out, watching as it looked at me in shock, the life leaving its body in one fell swoop.

The Captain took care of the other Guard, killing it.

I dragged them both together and began feasting, being interrupted by an army of Goblins. None of this will stop me though. If anything, it'll only end with more bodies.
