What Happens In Your School?

Mr Trueman glared hard at the woman in being question. The woman shuddered in spite but still threw a disdainful look at Hazel who smiled warmly in return.

Just before anyone could say a word, a bald-headed man stumbled into the room and everyone stood up in respect except three people.

The man's eyes first came in contact with Trueman and his daughter. Putting on a perfunctory smile, he walked to them.

"Mr Trueman, I'm sorry about the incident regarding your daughter, I promise to check into the matter and met out the rightful punishment on the supposed student."

Trueman nodded, satisfied at the respect given to him.

The bald-headed man turned towards Hazel to reprimand her but the reprimandation got stuck in his throat.

What was the Silver eyed devil doing here? Was she perhaps the accused student?

"Hazel" he called out in confirmation and she responded with s full blown smile which melted everyone's heart. "Are you he student?"

Hazel laughed at the question. Everyone who personally knew her and her family never thought she would ever attend a physical school. Having Hazel in his school was the best thing ever!.

"Mr Brugel, I haven't seen you in years" Hazel muttered loudly. Everyone gazed at the two in astonishment. The stone-faced director was smiling on a sunny day? Impossible!

The woman who was earlier glared at by Trueman saw it as an opportunity to show her self acclaimed righteousness.

"Mr Brugel, you won't ignore the girl's evil act on the ground of your familiarity, right?"

Brugel's smiley face came to a halt as he turned to look at the others with an annoyed look.

"Tell me exactly what happened"

The woman told the story according to what was told to her abd also adding a little mix up somewhere.

Brugel listened to the whole story in silence. After she was done, he asked: "Is that all?"

The woman nodded. Brugel took out his phone and placed a call: "Get me the footage of all that happened near the pool today''

Hearing him, Tricia panicked. Trueman noticed his uneasiness and turned to look at her with a reassuring smile.

For him, his daughter was going to be finally vindicated while Tricia knew she was going to be utterly humiliated and exposed.

Under her father's watchful gaze, she relaxed back on her seen looking calm and collected.

The footage arrived in three minutes and was instantly played on the projector. After the footage finished playing, everyone's jaws fell to the ground and they all glanced at Tricia accusingly.

"I had actually wanted to do was, push you in myself. It's unfortunate you lost your balance" Hazel commented, breaking the awkward silence.

Trueman of course, was angry and ashamed. When the girl drove to meet him at his house to report to him that she had been bullied and pushed into the school's swimming pool, he had rushed to the school immediately and filed for the expulsion of the student—just like he always did.

He stared at his daughter to see her panick-stricken face. Sighed and looked towards Hazel.

"I'm sorry for falsely accusing you. Let's act like none of this ever happened"

To Trueman, he had done more than enough by apologizing regarding his social status.

He stood up with Tricia afterwards and they both strolled out of the room.

Hazel smiled. "Mr Brugel? The person who just left, what is his name?"

Hazel felt disgusted at the thought of calling him a man as he acted younger than Damon.

"Yale Trueman" He supplied instantly.

"Status?"

"Manager at Everything Textiles"

Hazel pursed her lips in amusement. How could someone she practically fed every month stand in front of her and offer such demeaning apology.

She said nothing else, except having a sly smile on her face. Seeing it, Brugel knew the other man was finished.

Hazel glanced coldly at the other people in the room and they hitched their breaths, afraid she'd be upset If she heard them.

Brugel seemed to be respectful towards her, who were they not to be?

Hazel didn't find them worthy enough to waste her time on, so she left everything to Brugel but didn't fail to remind him.

"Some of your worker made a lot of trouble with me today. Security guards, Ha!" The laugh sounded like a threat to Brugel and cold sweat broke our on his forehead.

She picked her mask which was on the table and fastened it to her face, then she glanced at Brugel. The man swallowed an imaginary lump, and still tried to look normal.

"Manage your school well. I know it's ranked second in the whole world but believe me, it's ranked last in dignity and respect." Then she strolled to the door and walked out.

Once again, the disciplinary members sat still in their seats afraid of infuriating the man in front of them.

The lady who had supported Trueman knew she would be fired, so she stood up and said In a duh-tone: "I'm quitting. Trueman can find me a better paying job in Everything Textiles"

Brugel almost laughed out. If only she knew the man was already jobless. He kept mute and watched her walk out of the room.

He shut his eye, breathing in and out, he steadied himself then got up heading to deal with the security men first.

Hazel walked into the school's hallway to see some students staring at her with pityful eyes while others stared spitefully at her.

She ignored them and walked to her locker. Opening it with her fingerprint, she took out her phone and sent a text message. After the message marked sent and seen, she flung the phone back into the drawer and shut the locker but rolled her eyes annoyed seeing the girl at the pool again.

The girl acted so creepy.

"Hey!" Hazel greeted drily, seeing the girl was doing nothing other than stare at her.

"The name's Abigail" the girl said, then continued: "What did they do to you? Are you hurt? You won't believe I went to Ariel, the school Queen and she vehemently refused to help me!"

Abigail blabbed on and on. Hazel resisted the urge to clamp shut her mouth, so she placed a finger demonstratingly on her own lips. "Shhhh, I'm fine now"

Abigail nodded. Hazel sighed and glanced at her timetable. Maths.

.....

Trueman walked angrily to the school's garage and got into his car. Tricia timidly sat in the passenger's seat.

She could feel the burning anger skirting from him.

Surprisingly, he said nothing to her but instead ignited the car and drove out.

When he drove into his house, he got down instantly and rushed into the house. Tricia felt hurt. Unlike before, he walked straight into the house, not bothering to open the car door for her like he usually did.

All her life she had been treated like a princess by her parents. They had never gotten upset with her over anything, hi matter what.

"This is all Hazel's fault!" She said through clenched teeths. picking her phone, she sent a text message. She smiled satisfied at he reply she got.

She opened the car's door and stepped down, feeling a little lighthearted. She slipped merrily into the house and almost bumped into her father who was hurrying out.

He didn't stop to apologize but after like nothing happened. He got to his car and got in. The car gradually roared to life and he drove towards the gate.

Tricia shrugged her shoulders thinking it was an issue he was having in his office and continued to her room. She had no idea her life was going to change for the worst.

Trueman rushed to the company, lines of cold sweat on his forehead. He didn't bother acknowledging the staffs greetings but rushed towards his office.

There he met a talk man on mask waiting patiently for him, two guards behind the man.

What Happens In Your College?

Romeo stared down at the man. He shook his head and handed him the neatly folded white sheet of paper he had been holding.

Trueman accepted it with sweaty, shaky hands. He stared at he letter, swallowed hard, then tore it open.

After he read half, he slumped to his knees and pleaded: "Please don't lay me off Boss. I have no other way to support my family if not through my monthly salary!"

Romeo stared down at the figure amused. "Whoever said I'm firing you?"
