When she got to the East, she went to the Zaandi Clan but all she saw was a burnt and uninhabited land. She went to her room and luckily, it wasn't burnt. She took some time to meditate over some things. She climbed her bed and decided to sleep for a while. While sleeping, she saw her mom again."Mom?" She called out to her mother, "Zeruta" answered her mom. They hugged each other. "Zeruta, you have a lot ahead of you but lately you have been misguided", her mom said. "Mom, what do you mean?" Zeruta asked. "What do you think about the Emins?" Her mom asked her. "They are very wicked and heartless people who want to take over the entire Amigo by force" She replied.Her mum asked her, "Is that what you think, or is that what some one told you?." Zeruta then understood what her mother meant, it then dawned on her that she never thought about why the Emins would want to take over the lands so forcefully. Her mom then told her how it all happened."Centuries ago, a very wealthy, powerful and influential man, named Amigo came up. He was very powerful and wealthy. He had two slaves, Emin and Lamia. These two slaves served Amigo diligently. Thus, Amigo decided to share his territories into two for each of them. He loved Emin more than the Lamia, thus Emin got a very large expanse of land while Lamia got a piece land which was nothing comparable to that of Emin's. Soon refugees and sojourners began trooping into the Amigo territory, and soon they grew into large clans. Amigo, before he died decided to give lands to these other clans but since he had already shared out his territories to the slaves, he had to take some lands from the Emins since theirs was very large. He took some of the lands and carved it out to form the Southern and Eastern territories which we have today. Then, the Emins weren't really happy but this act of Amigo made them to construct their land like that of a fortress and they secretly began planning for war. News of this got to the West (the Lamias) and they too did the same thing. They built their lands in such a way that it could be like a mighty fortress. Some people say that the West has more battle prowess than the North but the truth is, that's just rumor. The North have been hiding their weapons and all we see are just a little of all they have." The look on Zeruta's face could tell that she was scared. Her mom didn't seem to notice the look on her face, she continued her narration. . "They plan on conquering the entire Amigo to themselves. This must not happen Zeruta, if they succeed, they'll wipe out the entire living beings in Amigo and Amigo would be a land of death. You must prevent this Zeruta." Zeruta was lost in thoughts, how can she fight against an entire territory alone.Her mum then sensed her fear and told her, "Remember the last time we met, I told you I had a secret, there's a bow and a quiver in your possession. That was mine. When I was in my late 20s, I loved using the bow and the arrow. I could also create bows and arrows, just like you do now. I created that bow and arrow because I knew that something wrong was about to happen in Amigo. I knew this secret and that was why I was killed. But now, I want you to continue my battle.You have to defend Amigo." Zeruta, was a very smart girl so she knew something was wrong from her mom's story, so she picked up courage and asked, "Mum?""Yes?", her mum replied, "Mum, was Amigo your Dad?", "Yes" her mom replied.Her mom was glad that her daughter had become so smart and so she was sure that her daughter, Zeruta could save Amigo."Zeruta," her mom continued, "There's special abilities which that bow and arrow possess". Its abilities depend on the user, I believe you'll discover it, soon.Goodbye Zeruta. We shall meet again, soon"And once again, Zeruta was left in the dark midst. She later woke up and left her room, she knew the Emins were approaching but there were lots of people that needed saving. She couldn't evacuate them all. The only choice she had was to face the Emins head on. But she just wasn't ready. The East was her hometown and she had to protect it no matter what.Meanwhile, the people of the West (Lamias) were preparing for battle, they knew that once the Emins captured the East, they'll come for them. They already had warriors, but they still recruited warriors from the refugees coming into the City. Most of the warriors of Redas who had escaped were recruited and they were all given special training. The West needed to be defended and the other lands needed to be conquered back and fast because the resources in the West were not enough to satisfy the refugees in the land. Thus, the Lamias knew that a famine was approaching. They needed to gather enough resources. This was another problem.Zeruta went to other neighboring clans in the East. She purposely avoided the Zumba, Salmi and Mazil Clans. When she got to one of the clans, she discovered that there were thousands of people in that clan. She knew something was wrong since a clan mostly had a population of about 70 to 150 persons. Then she discovered that all the Clans in the East had formed an alliance and had decided to fight the Emins head on. This alliance of course included the Zumba, Salmi and Mazil clans.
