The Game of Destiny: The Tale of Six Tales

"Do you want to play a game?" The angel's voice, gentle yet commanding, echoed in the boundless space. In this vast expanse of the unknown, where white stretched endlessly, a scene unfolded, marked by confusion and curiosity. A serene, angelic figure hovered before six women, each bearing their own mix of emotions. Choi Yuna, the eldest among them, erupted with incredulity. "You have got to be kidding me. I just died and you want to toy with me, are you for real?" Kang Min-ji's voice trembled with uncertainty as she questioned, "Are we really dead?" Meanwhile, Han Seo-yeon's skepticism couldn't be contained. "Wait! So we are like little pawns that you have decided to play with?" The angel, unfazed by their reactions, produced a manual and a map, offering a glimpse into the world they were about to enter. "I'm going to send you to another world, and you will have to conquer a few characters. I'm not really good at explaining all this, but here is a summary of the world and a map." But amidst the chaos of questions and disbelief, Park Hye-jin's voice cut through with a nonchalant tone. "What do we have to do?" Kim Ji-eun's voice, tinged with a hint of sarcasm, added to the mix. "At least I get to live again. Why should I complain?" Lee Soo-yeon, the last to speak, injected a note of excitement into the conversation. "Wow, finally some fun in my life." With a decisive nod, the angel prepared to bid them farewell. "Well, I'll spare you the introductions and move to our farewells. Enjoy!" And with that, the being bestowed upon them a new beginning, reincarnating them into the unknown kingdom of Arcadia. What do you think awaits them on the other side?

Revelation (2)

The room enveloped them in a cocoon of silence, hours slipping away unnoticed as Amelia and Lydia held space for each other's pain. Refusing to let even the maids disturb their sanctuary, they found solace in the quiet communion of shared sorrows.

Finally, with a hesitant breath, Lydia broke the silence, her voice a gentle ripple in the stillness. "My name was Choi Yuna. I was in my late 20s when me and my unborn child met our end," Lydia confessed, her words heavy with the weight of her past.

Amelia's gasp echoed in the room, her heart breaking for the woman before her. "How? Was it a car accident? Where was your husband?" she inquired, her concern palpable.

Unable to contain her emotions any longer, Lydia's composure crumbled, tears streaming down her cheeks as she relived the nightmare of her past. "I got beaten up by my drunk husband that night and suffered a miscarriage. When I begged him to call for an ambulance, he had already passed out on the floor. My baby did nothing wrong. Me as a whole made a wrong choice in choosing my husband," she confessed, her voice choked with grief.

Amelia wrapped her arms around Lydia, offering what comfort she could amidst the storm of emotions raging within them both. "My baby, mummy is sorry," Lydia sobbed, her anguish echoing off the walls.

Feeling the weight of Lydia's pain, Amelia spoke with a blunt honesty born from years of her own struggles. "Think of it this way. If you gave birth to your child, then your husband would have killed you both. Would you be able to stand it then? Your child's death was brutal, but as a mother, you protected his soul from being tainted by the cruel hands of your husband. Sorry, ex-husband," she asserted, her words a beacon of truth in the darkness.

With those words, Lydia felt a sense of relief wash over her, the burden of guilt and regret lifting from her shoulders. Finally able to confront her past, she continued her tale, finding strength in the presence of her newfound confidante.

"I studied Medicine and Pharmaceutical Science as a side course. I was really ambitious till I met my ex-husband. He was the kindest man I met, he was loving and sweet. I thought I needed no one else, or so I thought. Once we got married, the honeymoon stage disappeared, and the abuse began every day without fail. It was either beating, slavery, or insults. It never ended. After we slept together one night, he stopped beating me. I was pregnant afterward, and the story continues to how I died," Lydia revealed, her voice steady despite the pain etched on her face.

Amelia listened intently, her admiration for Lydia growing with each word. "Wow! You had it rough. I'm proud of you for making it this far," she praised, her words a beacon of support in the darkness.

With the heaviness of their pasts laid bare, Lydia and Amelia found themselves at a crossroads, their shared pain forging a bond stronger than any they had known before.

Lydia finally asked for the maids to send in their dinner but instructed that they won't be going down to eat. They stayed quiet for a while, before...

" Lia-eonni, do you know what a sleepover feels like? I've never had one "

Amelia's confession made Lydia feel a sense of pity as to how they robbed her a good childhood.

" Of course, let's head to the bath".

Not wanting Amelia to feel alone she took the lead and began their version of fun.

" Skincare"

The way she called out to the skincare made Amelia laugh. They had a honey-tumeric mixture on their face, while having fruitwine. They had takes on and on about funny things in school both in Arcadia and Korea.

They scrubbed each other and played unnecessary bathroom pranks on each other.

No one wanted the fun to end.

" That's enough for our bath time together. If we stay here any longer we will catch a cold", Lydia instructed trying to pull Amelia out of the bath.

They finally got out and their dinner was served, they didn't end their fun there. Thru played games and played pranks on the maids. The maids didn't mind as to its the first time in a long time they saw Lydia have so much fun.

The night was now at its peak, everyone in bed, asleep except this duo. The fun soon ended, the moment Amelia's face was filled with seriousness.

" What's wrong? ", Lydia asked with so much concern.

" Lia-eonni, I have been noticing this screen since we started having fun but now I'm very much curious as to why it is so? ".

" I'm sorry Amelia but I can't help you with your status window, you'll have to read to figure it out yourself ", Lydia advices giving a deep sigh.

The room was silent again until Amelia let out a loud scream;

" WHAT! "

" What's wrong? ", Lydia asked with concern.

" That disgusting disrespectful and manner less prince is the man I have to pursue and guess what my first quest is? ", Amelia began to curse at him.

" Make the crown prince break up with his current girlfriend. Surely who ever he dates is not supposed to be my problem but the mission is a problem. ", she continued.

Lydia laughed on hearing Amelia's complaints.

" Surely, it is better than having to pursue a tyrant Duke". Lydia was referring to who she was to pursue. The most feared teenager in all of Arcadia, Duke Xerxes.

" Oh please, at least he is not going to be disgusting, he would be very hot and sexy for a tyrant. He will surely have manners and be respectful in a disrespectful way", she complemented.

Listening to Amelia is the epitome of happiness and stupidity.

Anyone seeing this would assume she is the kind to obsess over fictional characters, but reality isn't the same as fictional. As she continued to rain praises, she remembered her true goal, to be annoyed.

" I hate this, why the crown prince, arghh! ", she continued her lamentation.

Lydia pointed to the balcony, " Well we aren't the ones who set it . Remember the angel, he did all of this, did he not? ".

Realizing this Amelia did the unthinkable, ready for war, she went to the balcony and screaming with the air in her lungs,

" Curse you Angel! I'll be back to deal with you properly just you wait, I'll make sure....", before she could conclude, Lydia covered her mouth and dragged her into the room.
