The whole ordeal in town took some time to clean up, in that time I had found out from the others involved that, there were three suspects instead of one. The man that I had shot in his arm had lived, unfortunately he was unconscious still, so it was gonna take a few days, or possibly even longer until he wakes up for him to give us information that we need.

Once the day was over I found myself laying in bed, I can't explain the feeling of shooting my rifle, and hitting a person in the arm. The feeling made me feel it was both wrong, along with being right all at the same time, so I clear my head a bit by reading a book I brought from home, and before I knew it I had drifted into a deep sleep.

When morning comes I get myself up out of bed, when I look at the time I see that it's a little past the time when I was supposed to wake up at. After throwing my clothes on, and getting something quick to munch on I head down to the range for my trainees morning training.

Once I make it down to the range, I don't see all the trainees there, "where's everyone else?" The answer comes quickly from both Lily, Siler and another trainee known as Frank, "They are practicing close quarters combat today instructor Daniel, since they are the ones who needed to get better with it, so they decided to go do that instead of doing range practice today."

That leaves me some practice time on the range with them today as well, "well looks like I'll be joining you guys today then, since I could use some practice today." After I grab a rifle at the armory, I place myself down between two of the trainees on the range today.

The distance I'm practicing today is three quarters of a mile, so I ready my rifle, then fire. Once I fire, a flash in my head of the man's face in agonizing pain, that same man I had shot yesterday still shows itself in my mind. Quickly, I shack it off and continue to fire, thinking nothing of it as I soon empty the rifles mag.

"Damn instructor Daniel, you hit three bullseyes, along with two head shots, I wish I could get that good." The one wishing he was as good as me is Frank, however the range he is currently doing is only two quarters off the distance I'm doing currently, I feel he will definitely get to that point.

"The worries you have Frank are correct ones, however your only two quarters off the distance I'm doing right now, so keep practicing and eventually you will definitely get to the distance I'm doing."

The straight face expression on his face lightens up a bit, turning into a small smile, and then a slight smirk, "maybe some day, I might become even better then you are right now."

That kind of thinking isn't a bad thing, it motivates him to always try his best, "I would like to see that happen someday Frank, but for now get back to your range training understood."

Quickly getting back into his training, I can't help but think that I have successfully trained them, however they all are still a far distance off from hitting what I can do. Thus after all of that I also get back to practice, now with my head cleared, and my aim more on point.

Once the day concludes I see everyone from close combat training going back to the barracks, "alright everyone on range training today, that's enough, let's rap it up and call it a day!" Once they had all finished dumping the magazines to their rifle out, they delivered the rifles, along with whatever bullets were left to the armory.

After I get done doing the same, I see them all head off to the mess hall for dinner, seeing them all work hard become both good snipers, and close friends along the way makes me feel happy inside.

Then I see some of them turn around, "Instructor Daniel, come join us for dinner tonight!" That sounds good, some dinner with the trainees, while talking among one another on anything that comes to mind.

When I finally get up to where they are, we all walk together to the mess hall. Soon as we get there all the trainees welcome me in, "looks like the instructor joins us for dinner tonight." They are all happy to have me join them, and as dinner goes on, everyone is talking about their own things, saying how once they make it home they're gonna do something amazing.

Soon as I finish my plate I get up to leave, however some of them ask me to stay, even for just a little bit longer. "Thanks for the offer, but we have physical training tomorrow, and I got to plan out what path we will be taking tomorrow too." When I get done explaining they understand and wave me good bye, as I walk I can't help but think that they are good people, and I would hate to see any of them get killed.

Once I reach my room I see a note on my door, as soon as I look at it, I can see it's from General White. The note is telling me to go down to his room, since Hawk is busy otherwise Hawk would have been seeing us.

Heading to General White's room quickly, I feel it's been a while since I've last seen him, so I take it as a opportunity to talk once the main conversation is done. Sure I assume he's been busy with a lot of paper work, probably also the reason why he hasn't been around the base a lot these past few weeks.

When I reach his room, I see all the other main officer's who were also in charge of helping to recover the documents. "Hello Daniel it has been a while, come join this discussion, it's very important that you do."

When I finally sit down alongside everyone else, General White begins talking, "Thanks for coming all of you, I have to thank all of you on behalf of Battle Stategist Hawk, the reason for that is because of the papers you successfully repossessed."

"The papers had all the information needed on this base, everything from troop count, too supply amount, everything was on those papers." The surprise runs through all of us, "basically saying you all might have just stopped the war from kicking off early, at this point just buying an extra few months is good, so you should all be proud of this."

That's very good news to hear, as we all clap at our success, I also wonder what our reward will be, but I probably shouldn't be thinking that way. "Also Battle Stategist Hawk has told me to give you all one request, anything from a reservation at a fancy restaurant in the near by town of Creek Wood, or some time off, you guys can decide later for now enjoy knowing you have stopped a posible early war."

After everything concluded, General White gave us all papers for a request of any kind, then he dismissed us, allowing us to return to our rooms. The sheet of paper is simple but at current I don't have anything in particular that I would want to request.

That was my though prosses as I walked back to my room, but I feel it would be a waste to not try and get something out of this request paper. Then it comes to my mind as I reach my rooms door, I could request for a bit of time off to go see how grandfather is doing, along with being able to see how Rebekah is doing as well.

Once I get into my room, I get to writing down what I want to request, knowing I shouldn't take to much time off, but take enough time off to at least have a good time I decide on three weeks of time off.

"That should do, but three weeks still seems like a lot of time, however I also trust my trainees to continue working on their routines while I'm away." With those thoughts in mind, I place the papers down on the desk, and then lay on my bed.

My brain is still going on about how I should approach Hawk or White on this time off, sure they are the ones who suggested to request anything, but I can't help but feel that they may reject it. However as I slowly calm myself, I end up just drifting into sleep, after all this is all the end results of hard work, I should be allowed to request anything, so with that in mind I fall asleep fully knowing that I'm gonna go home for at least a little bit of time.
