The Day Of The Exam:

Two days have finally passed, Its currently 4 am in the morning, David could be seen walking down the street, the few streetlights illuminated the pitch black of night, David was wearing the outfit the school ordered the students to wear, 

The blade he stole from the police was tucked under his shirt inside the makeshift sheath. His footsteps echoed out into the dark night until two silhouettes emerged under a street light.

It was Rebecca and Sally.

" You sure took your time David. We still need to finalize our plans for the exam, "

Rebecca and Sally's outfit for the exam was a black blazer and long grayish black pants. The number four was written on the right side of the blazer. 

David walks over to them with a tired look on his face. He yawns as he steps under the street light.

" I thought our plan was going to be the same as everyone else's waiting patiently until the end, and stealing pages from the tired students. " 

David said in a tired voice. 

" It still is but what are we going to do if everyone has the same plan and doesn't try to collect any of the papers? "

" You're overthinking it. I doubt students from the first school will stand around and do nothing. Every run-in I had with a student from the first school they were extremely cocky.

David said stretching his arms, trying to wake himself up.

Rebecca sighed and agreed before they headed towards a forest. Yesterday, the fourth school's Dean made an announcement for all students to arrive in the middle of a forest directly north of the fourth school. 

It takes fifteen minutes but eventually Rebecca David and Sally reach the forest and walk through a dirt path. It doesn't take long until they join a massive crowd of a thousand students all wearing the same outfits with different numbers on their chests. 

The crowd of people stand there bunched together for another minute until a loud shout is suddenly heard catching everyone's attention. 

They looked over at a lanky woman wearing a rich and deluxe suit. She had short dark blue hair and held a microphone. Even though there were no speakers in the forest, her voice could be heard from miles due to her ability, 

" My name is Erica, welcome to the start of the exam. I'm going to be your announcer for the exam. I will broadcast any announcements or sudden changes to the exam. But before I begin the exam does anyone have any last minute questions?

Erica said with a grin on her face. She looked around through the massive quiet crowd looking for any questions until a deep cruel voice spoke.

" What happens if we kill another student? "

Said a pale scrawny man with long dirty brown hair. His black eyes were sunken into his sockets as he held a long frail looking katana. Everyone standing near him felt his overwhelming bloodlust.

He clearly wasn't here to prove himself to the government. He had another dark motive. He enrolled in the exam by himself since no one wanted to work with him.

" You will be deducted a single point for every student you kill, but seeing how quiet this crowd is, I assume that will be the final question. "

Said Eric clapping as a loud cracking sound echoed through the dark forest. The students' eyes widen noticing a large crack underneath them.

The ground splits into two. The sounds of screams and laughter could be heard. As the student fell through the ground...

The tomb was under this forest the entire time? I think to myself while holding onto Rebecca and Sally's shoulders. My vision is covered in darkness. I can only see silhouettes of students and rocks falling down beside us.

I stare down into the darkness until light suddenly starts bleeding through, I stare at light as we rapidly approach until we slam through the tomb's ceiling, We fall another 30 feet before we land on brown stone.

I took a deep breath and let go of Rebecca's and Sally's shoulders. I held onto them, so we wouldn't get separated while falling through the ground.

" Did you hold onto our shoulders because you were scared? "

Said Rebecca in a joking tone of voice. I ignored her comment and started looking around the tomb. The tomb must be under the entire forest. Either way I look I can't see where the tomb ends. There are thousands of marble pillars holding the tomb up. The pillars are wrapped in brown rope. 

In the middle of the tomb there's a massive spiral staircase, leading down to another floor of the tomb, so there are multiple floors in this tomb.

The tomb is lit well. With hidden lights hiding in the pillars and floors, I continue observing the tomb until a loud screech is heard above me.

I look up noticing that the massive hole in the ceiling we fell through is gone. There must be someone with an ability that can manipulate the ground above us.

" Welcome to the first phase of the exam. "

Said a voice echoing through the tomb. That voice is the same as the woman we met earlier named Erica.

" Some of you will notice a piece of paper in your pockets. That is one of the pages you need to pass this phase. "

I quickly reach into my pants pockets but I feel no paper in my pockets. I glance over at Rebecca and Sally but they both shake their heads at me.

Looks like we're among the unlucky few that didn't get a paper.

" There are three floors in this tomb. The tomb is shaped like a massive square. On each floor, at the corners there will be an instructor. "

If there are three floors, that must mean there will be four instructors on each floor.

" There will be a one-hour time limit. So to pass the exam you simply need to have three pages after the timer ends. "

That woman on the rooftop was telling the truth. So who exactly is she? I start looking around the crowd but I don't see her. She isn't a student so she had to be a governing official I guess.

While I was looking around in the crowd, I noticed something. The weapons some students were holding had the same crack as the knives I stole.

I glanced at the number on their shirts and the majority of the students with the faulty weapons were all from school four.

Looks like the majority of school four fell for the faulty weapons ploy. They will be slaughtered when the first phase begins. I take a deep breath as Erica's voice roars out with a new announcement.

" That will be all the rules for the exam. Everything is allowed so use your ability to the fullest, and remember that your parents are watching so put on a good show. "

I hear Erica take a large breath before she screams out.

" The Exam Starts Now! "...
