"You're now wondering, eh? But you got it right, so what should I do now? I'm not petty, since you don't want to be my disciple, then I won't force you. Plus you won with our bet, so you are free now." Skadi said with a slight smile as she turned her back against Yuki before starting to walk away, she had done what she wanted to do now, and now she was just waiting for Yuki to say that she was wrong and chase after her.
But what she planned to happen didn't happen at all, she was completely ignored by Yuki, instead of hearing loud footsteps behind her, she only heard Yuki's footsteps getting quieter by the second. Her plan to make Yuki admit her mistake all went down as it seemed that her understanding of her was wrong.
"If you're expecting me to come to you and beg for you to teach me, you're wrong on that. I won't ever do such a childish thing, because even if I want to learn, I'll learn it eventually, and now that I saw it, I can definitely copy it." Yuki said without looking back as she just continued walking back to her house without a care about the people behind her.
When Skadi saw this, she sighed in disappointment before appearing in front of Yuki, and when Yuki saw her, all her senses told her that something was about to happen. Without any warning, she struck out her hand and attacked Skadi.
"Whoah there, what are you doing? I'm not trying to hurt you." Skadi was shocked to see Yuki attack her as she easily caught her hand. Her face didn't even show much reaction at this since she didn't even see Yuki as a threat right now.
There was only one thing that she wanted and that was to make Yuki her disciple because out of all the people that she has met in her life, she was the most special. But because of her own pride and arrogance, it seems that it was about to backfire on her since she made all of this a lot harder for herself, if she just asked her nicely and hadn't made a bet, maybe things would have gone differently.
"Alright, I'm sorry for what I have done. But I just really want for you to be my disciple, I know that you're very strong and talented. Maybe your words were right when you said that you could just copy what I showed you, but I can promise you this. If you become my disciple, I will teach you everything that I know. No matter what it is, I'll teach you it." Skadi apologized which made all of the people around them to be shocked.
"Why are you so desperate to make me your disciple? For fuck sake, you're a part of the Royal Family, isn't there someone there who is good enough for you to take in? You're also an immortal, you can just wait for that person to come in your life." Yuki asked as she stopped before looking at Skadi with her dead and cold eyes. She only wants to know why Skadi was so desperate to make her disciple.
Yuki has already read a lot about the current state of the Roya Family and from what she read, it seems that there were a few very talented kids in their family. She would even suggest having Kurokami as her disciple since she was really talented, but because she doesn't want to cause any problems for her Wife, she didn't say anything about her.
Because if she did, Skadi would be suspicious of her relationship with her. For someone like her to know Kurokami who had left the Royal Family for some years, it would be too suspicious.
"Well… what if I say that the person I'm looking for is you, would you believe that?" Skadi didn't answer Yuki's question and just asked her if she would believe that the person she was looking for to be her disciple would be Yuki.
"Why though? Is there something that I have that you want?" Yuki didn't fully believe what Skadi said to her, for someone like her who is basically an Immortal, she can live long enough to find her true disciple.
As for Yuki, she doesn't like the idea of being taught by someone, even if it is her Mother. She was more than capable of learning everything by herself and that alone was enough for her, in her mind, there wasn't a lot they could teach her, because just like what she said, whether it was Physical or Magic prowess, she was already very good at it.
And as for having flashy Skills like what Skadi just showed her, she doesn't mind not having any of those because, at the end of the day, she can make her own Skills, just like what she did with her Origin Skills. Especially her "Transcendent Ice Gauntlet" it was the Skill that even Gods would need to fear because it is such a powerful and dangerous Skill.
"You do have something because in the future you might be the Queen of Nightingale. Now I know this sounds delusional, but believe me when I say that. She might truly be the next Queen." Skadi said as she looked at her people when saying that because she knew exactly how they would react after hearing such things.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce them. They can be also said as part of the Royal Family since they are the Elders." Skadi introduced them a little before talking again.
"I know that you are also shocked about this, but my granddaughter has already told me a lot about you. Kurokami, she's your wife, right?" Skadi continued before showing Yuki a picture of her and Kurokami together, and when Yuki saw that, her guard went down a little since it looked like Skadi was someone whom Kurokami loved and admired.
"Is that your whole reason? Just because my wife is your granddaughter, you want me to be your disciple? That is pathetic, give me more reason, maybe I'll consider it." Yuki acted like it was nothing even after being confronted about her relationship with Kurokami.
"She told me a lot of stories about you… and from the stories that she told me, it seems that she really cares a lot about you. So much so that she even asked me to help you teach how you can control one of your powers. That is the real reason, my beloved granddaughter asked me to guide you, now if you still refuse me, that is on you now." Skadi said as she finally explained the real reason why she wanted to take Yuki as her disciple.
That was the real reason, but now that she is looking at her in her own element, she can tell that she was really powerful and talented which was more reason for her to take her in as a disciple.
