As Yuki makes her way down, she feels the malicious and killing intent get thicker and stronger. Feeling this, she remembers the stories of Ghosts back on Earth and when it was usually like this, the Ghost that someone would find in this kind of place that has a lot of malicious and killing intent was a Wraith. Compared to the halls of the Temple, Yuki estimated that the killing intent down here was already 10x stronger but she was still not even done coming down the stairs.
Even though she had a torch in her hand, it could only give her little light, and the worst part for her was that she found that her Divine Fox Eyes didn't even work with its heightened senses which were even stronger than a normal Divine Sense. The farthest that she could see was to the extent of the light of her torch and clearly, it was not enough for her because the place was simply too dark.
When Yuki was finally at the end, she was glad as she thought it was finally over. When she was about to take a step on the floor, she felt that something was wrong so she stopped to drop the corpse of a Beast on the floor, and just as she suspected there was a trap. The corpse was instantly teleported somewhere she could only guess where.
"A trap… So this only means that this whole place is filled with traps." Yuki guessed and took a precaution and froze every single wall and floor in the whole basement and when she did, she accidentally hit something which made the whole place lit up much to her surprise.
But she was still not done, she took another corpse of a Beast and dropped it on the ground, and when it hit the floor, it activated the same trap the first time she tried it making her frown as she didn't know if the traps can either reset themselves or they can only activate for a few times before finally going out.
She then begins to look around inside the large basement that she was in without taking a step on the floor as she knew the moment her foot touched the floor, that she was going to be sent away to somewhere she can only guess that was even more dangerous than here, and she doesn't want to take unnecessary risks. As she scanned the area, she finally looked up and saw the Wraiths guarding what seemed to be the thing that was powering all of the traps.
"So this is where the battery is…" Yuki smirked as she used her new Skill to strengthen the two Ice Daggers before shooting them toward the statue that was holding a crystal in its hand, but before it could hit the crystal, it was easily stopped by the Wraith who caught it before returning it to Yuki.
But she had already learned from this as she moved her head in time and dodged the two Ice Daggers that were coming for her head with light movements. This scene made her frown as she didn't expect the Wraiths to be so fast, but she didn't panic and simply stayed calm before creating thousands of Ice Daggers this time and enhancing all of them with the same Skill.
"System… I name this Skill Grand Demolition." Yuki said as she cast her Grand Demotion to all of the Ice Daggers in the air before launching all of them at the same time, and all of them were directed to that statue. But this time she threw it much more force and speed as it flew in the air, it passed the speed of sound before flying even faster.
But her eyes widened slightly when she saw how the two Wraithes easily caught all of them in one swoop making her question whether she really threw it faster this time, and as if it was mocking her, the two Wraiths looked at her before dropping her Ice Daggers on the air, letting it drop on the ground.
"These two… they're actually looking down on me," Yuki said in a cold tone as she simply couldn't believe it, but she took a deep breath before taking out a long metal case from her Storage Ring and setting it on the ground before she opened it, she looked at it first before finally opening them.
"I guess it's time for you to have your own debut…" Yuki said to herself as she looked at the thing inside first to admire it. She then simply held it in her hands and when the cold metal hit her hand, she began to reminisce the last time she held a Sniper Rifle like this. The last time was when she saved Fumiko from an Assassin back on Earth, but that was different for her because the one that she used wasn't even hers. It was just a normal 50. Cal Sniper, but this Sniper Rifle was far more different.
Yuki was really glad with her work as she looked at her Sniper Rifle. It was a completely white body with black and gold lines around it making the design look even more flawless, at least in the eyes of Yuki as she was the one who made it, and on the barrel of the Sniper Rifle it was written there, Anti-Matter Sniper Rifle in Ancient Writing that was native to the Philipines, the Baybayin. She used it because she found it really interesting and she found the writing to be good.
"Let's put you to the test, let's see how powerful this thing really is," Yuki said as she began to assemble the Sniper Rifle what she was holding before was only the body and it was because she left it disassembled as a safety precaution. When she was finally done she opened the chamber to test it and smiled when she heard the click, with that she finally placed the Scope on top and loaded a bullet inside before aiming towards the statue once more.
"Let's see if you can catch this~" Yuki smiled as she pulled the trigger and with just one bullet, she completely destroyed the statue catching the two Wraits off guard. But she didn't waste this time as she quickly pulled back the chamber before putting another bullet inside and shot at one of the Wraith killing it in an instant. With another bullet, she shot the other Wraith killing him before he could even respond, and all of this happened in just a span of 10 seconds, the Wraiths couldn't even get a chance to respond as all of them died already before they could.
Yuki smiled at this as she stood up and watched how all of the Traps that she couldn't see before now appeared right before her eyes as all of them were useless now. She was in a good mood after passing the second Mission, but she was even more glad that her prototype of the Anti-Matter Sniper met her full expectations, she thought that it would be a little weaker, but it seems that she was wrong.
The Anti-Matter Sniper Rifle was rather special because she simply designed it out of Yumie's complaints to her when she was ranting about how she almost failed her Guild Quest because of her opponent, a Ghost. But she simply didn't decide to make the Sniper kill only the Ghost, she designed it to where it can kill anything that has no Physical Body.
If the enemy's entire body was made out of Mana/Qi or it was just their Spiritual Manifestation, one shot from the Sniper can kill them or if not leave a mortal wound on their body. If she was lucky and managed to graze or hit their Soul Realm, it would only need one bullet from her to kill them and if they were somehow lucky, the bullet will make them a cripple.
"I guess sacrificing my arm when I made it is truly worth it…" Yuki smiled as she remembered the day when she made the Sniper. From the outside it may seem like a regular Sniper to others if they ignored the design, but inside of all that metal was her mechanism.
She made the Sniper out of her "Transceding Ice Gauntlet" which is still her most powerful Skill, but it wasn't as powerful because she purposely made it weaker as any stronger than 40% would be too dangerous. But even though it was just 40% with all the Enhancement and Magic Circles that were embedded on the Sniper, it made out of the loss power, plus there was also the bullet which was based on her "Icy Needles of Despair"
