Jax Blaine's POV

I was wrong...

It was just a thought that maybe she's one of them but she's not.

I slowly step back to look at her. The looks of her eyes are telling me she wants something else from me... Right now.

She wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me closer to her. I can feel her body rubbing to mine. She's about to kiss me but I stop her.

"Give me enough reason why should I waste my time joining your gang?" I grin as I rubbed my hands from both of her shoulder down to her hands to avoid suspicion.

"Kiss me..." she seductively glance at my lips. "...then I will tell you."

I smirked but deep inside I wanted to strangle her neck again. But because I wanted to find out more about her, about why she's suddenly gaining confidence, I showed her a teasing smile.

My instinct is telling me that she's hiding something. Though she's already mysterious in the first place. Also, why she's eager to recruit me? Why her and not Clark?

"Make sure it's worthy!"

I aggressively grab her face then kiss her which she automatically respond. I grab her waist to pull her closer to me. After seconds of kissing, she push me towards the sofa and just let myself sit there. She then sit on top of my lap as she undress her blouse while still kissing me.

I admit she's a good kisser but I just feel bitter and I don't know why. She grabs my arms and let me caressed her butt. She smiled as she rub herself to mine.

"Hmm!" she moaned but I just pinched her butt out of frustration. I'm not even turned on! "Aw! Didn't know you're aggressive!" she whispered then chuckled.

I frown as I'm still kissing her.

'This must feel so good when I'm doing this with her and not this bitch. Wondering what her expressions will be. I'm sure that idiot will be ignorant!'

Tsk! Why did I suddenly think of her?

I felt Noreen's hands start unbuckling my belt so I quickly stop her. I stopped kissing and just stared at her.

"Kiss was your only deal! Both you and I were in a relationship. I don't want to cheat on my girlfriend," I said it as an excuse to make her stop.

The truth is me and Kitkat weren't in a relationship but everyone in the campus thought we are, because I showed it in front of them when that time I'm teasing Clark in the cafeteria. That time I kissed her in front of everyone.

I sighed. What I really feel right now is it's as if I'm really cheating. The last time I felt this loyal was when I was with Cath. Tsk!

What did that idiot do to me?

Noreen laugh 'cause she finds it ridiculous. "What do you see about that trash? No one can resist my body, Jax Blaine. Everyone wished to have sex with me..." she whispered as she lean closer to me then kiss my neck and lick it. Yes, it tickles me but it didn't turn me on.

I can't help it but chuckle of how high her confidence be. She unclasp her bra and showed me her bouncy things to me. I smiled teasingly as I glance at those.

I hold her waist as she continued rubbing her thing between her thighs to my thing. Then I push her away from me to stand up. She look at me with confusion.

"I can resist you even if you're naked in front of me. In our situation, it looks like it's you that cannot resist me. This is how you seduce Clark, aren't you? You cheap slut!" I grin when I saw her raise her hand to slap me but I stop it.

I seriously look at her. I quicky strangle her neck again before she can react. "Enough with this cheap play! Tell me your reason why you want to recruit me!" I said as serious as I could!

She grip my wrist to let go of her neck. I push her as I let go of her. She grasp for an air then glared at me. "I told you! We need someone like you! We need your skills in our group!" she shouted in frustration. She must be embarrassed!

"What are my benefits when I join you?"

"Some higher ups wanted you! Once you join us, you won't imagine how they're capable of anything when they support us! You can do everything you want!"

"So they are the one who's backing you now." It's a statement and not a question. She didn't comment about it and just look away. She frustratedly picked her clothes and get dressed.

'I'm right! That higher ups are the one who's backing her!'

"We don't know how to give up Jax Blaine. I assure you there will be a second time meeting me! Prepare yourself because the moment you let me in here again, you cannot resist me anymore!"

I just frown.

"And if I cannot recruit you, then Franz will. And to warn you, he's not someone who will stop until he gets what he wants!" she added then she walk closer to me and show her annoying smile again.

She plant a smack on my lips. "You're gonna break up with her someday. I will make sure of that! I won't let her have you 'cause you're built perfect and she doesn't deserve you!" she flip her hair then walk out.

I was standing there for a minute, unable to move because of what she said. I'm not afraid of her threat, I'm just thinking of something.

'Why Franz and not Clark? When in fact Clark is the leader of rank 1 gang?'

After taking some stuff, I immediately go to the parking lot where I park my motor. I was about to hop on when I saw Lance in my side mirror hurriedly came closer to me and was about to punch me from behind. I crouched down then I attacked him using my elbow. He was hit in his stomach and then I kicked him hard.

He rolled on the floor and I can see he's hurting. I came closer to him and kick his face again out of frustration. I pulled him by grabbing his collar.

"I thought I already warned you enough to stop messing me?" I hardly grip his collar while glaring.

"Kahit kay kailan napakayabang mo! Pwe!" He spit blood. "Bakit mo tinanggihan ang offer ni Noreen? Ikaw lang itong nagpapa-hard to get!"

I punched him again and he cursed. "Is that how you recruit someone? You have rejected more before, why are you all here pestering me?"

"Hindi mo pa kami lubusang kilala hambog! Dahil sa pagpapakitang gilas mo kagabi, hinding-hindi ka namin titigilan hanggat hindi ka namin mapapasali!"

He wiped his blood off his face then throw me a glare. "Hindi mo magugustuhan kung ang boss mismo namin ang magre-recruit sa 'yo!"

He walked out.

'Boss? Is that the same person Noreen was talking about?'

I saw Kernel eating popcorn and greet me when I got back at the lab. This place seems to be one of their hideouts.

"Hmm... Bangong-bango ah? Bagong ligo pa! Apat na oras kang nawala Jaxie, may ginawa kang hindi ka-aya aya no?"

"Tsk! My place is too far from here!"

"Hmm... Hahaha! I thought you won't come back? You miss Kitty-katty? Hahaha! Anyway, let's discuss tomorrow. Veign and Clent will be coming here! Nag-late dinner ka na?"

I didn't utter a word and just walk straight to Kitkat's room. I was about to open the door but he followed me. "O baka may na-dinner ka na?" He look at the wall clock. "Oh it's already 4am. So may na-breakfast ka na?"

I stop and frustratedly look at him when I know what he meant. "What? You were following me?"

"Well, before I make you my accomplice, I still need to investigate you. Hahaha! But don't worry! Bumili lang talaga ako ng popcorn. Napadaan lang ako sa condo mo," he walked out after showing me his annoying grin.

'Tsk! Damn him and his nonsense excuse!'

When I entered her room, my eyes quickly look at her while slowly walking near her bed. I felt something strange when I saw her sleeping peacefully. I feel like I'm satisfied and felt calm. It's hard to explain.

"Tsk! This idiot!" I crossed my arms and just staring at her face. I didn't think about anything and it's like my mind is at peace.

It's already been eight months since I first met her. It's been that long that I always push her away yet she still stick to me.

Her words yesterday kept on repeating in my mind again. Especially when she's treating my wounds and I can feel her giggling and staring at my lips.

I smile.

'What did you do to me?'

Though it's traumatizing to feel this way, I cannot help it. The last time I felt this way towards someone, I just ended up hurting.

It's already morning and I decided to have a cigarette outside after taking a bath and eating breakfast that Violy made for us.

I look at the green scenery. I cannot sleep. I wanted to discuss to Kernel everything I learned from what Alfonso said yesterday. But the asshole is still having his sweet dreams.

'How the hell he's able to sleep at this situation?'

After an hour, Only Veign arrived because Clent has a class to attend as per him. I know class isn't that important to Clent. He's just not ready to meet me. Same as me, I'm not yet ready to meet someone from my past even though he's the only member left.

The three of us were here approximately 30 meters away from the lab, because Violy is there and that bitch is very clever to notice our purpose. That asshole Exseven clearly told us to not let someone know about this. Yet he still didn't contact us after the first time he called me and ask how is his girlfriend!

He gave Kernel a message through envelope only. Too dramatic!

We lit our cigarette and just stand there waiting someone from us to talk. It's my first time meeting Veign as being an accomplice. I'm not comfortable talking to him, so is he.

"So that dramatic Exseven is still on hiding and his whatsoever whereabouts is still unknown! Isn't it nice?" Kernel stated sarcastically with his annoying tone that broke the silence.

He then showed us the envelope he's talking about. "And just gave this very boring envelope to us three!" He inhaled the smoke from the cigarette then open the envelope and took the picture inside it. "With a very boring instruction 'Investigate her,'" he read the words at the back of that picture.

He look at me with a meaningful look as he didn't let me see the picture. He put it back inside the envelope and look at Veign. I frown because they look suspicious.

He then showed me his annoying grin as he hand it to me. I examine it and there's an X mark at the back of the envelope. I took the picture inside and my brows meet when I saw the picture. I frown when I recognize the woman that Exseven wants us to investigate.

"You've got to be kidding me!" I absentmindedly uttered.

"Yeah! And we already search her info and we found out she's your schoolmate," Veign stated calmly then throw his cigarette and took a new one.

They both look at me as if they're about to tell bad news or something. Especially Kernel trying to hold his laugh.

"From Noreen Forbes to Noreen Mendez."

I was taken a back of what Kernel said.

"What do you mean by 'From' Noreen Forbes?" I seriously asked emphasizing the word 'from.' And even before hearing what he's about to say, I already have an idea what it is.

'No way!'

"Yes Jaxie Blaine! Tama ang hinala mo. She's Noreen Forbes, first degree cousin of you and Exseven's ex-girlfriend, Cath. Catherine Forbes."

I was stunned! Just by hearing that name, memories from my past suddenly came rushing to my mind. That bitch was already gone but still creating problems to me!

Flashback :

I cannot stop smiling while staring at her, fixing her dress while she's looking at her reflection in the body-sized mirror. She's beautiful. She really is! I cannot forget how I fell in love with her. I wish I can just confess but I'm afraid of her rejection.

"Ba't ngumingiti ka diyan? Ikaw ha! May lihim kang pagnanasa sa 'kin!" she joked but still it affects me.

I just smiled sweetly. Just by staring at her, my heart won't stop beating fast. She came closer to me and chuckled. "Be ready! I won't leave you alone so you just have to trust me! This mission is easy and I know you can do it!"

She chuckled again after giving me a kiss on my cheeks. Even her chuckle is cute and lovely.

She's training me and this is my first mission that I received from the higher ranks. While Reid is training with the other trainees. He doesn't know about Cath because it's forbidden. Her identity is very mysterious. She's one of the expensive asset of Yumi.

But since it's me, she gave me special treatment. By that, I feel honored.

People like Cath are hired agents of Yumi's Clients. There are only few of them in Yumi. They're very skilled and their missions are both dangerous and hard to do. She's been doing this since she was fourteen. They're born for this. It runs through their blood.

But unlike today, her mission is very simple. She's just accompanying me and training me. It's already five months since I joined Yumi. They wanted to find someone who can lead a group that they're about to make. She recommended me.

She wrapped her arm around my waist and stick closer to me when we entered the restaurant inside the very expensive hotel. I saw people having their own business. Talking about their wealth, bragging about anything. Just like my father who only loves to attend this kind of place.

My father doesn't care about me so he left me with my mother that's already married to another billionaire. Fuck their wealth! How I wish they'll all banish.

"Jax chill! Fix your emotion!" she whispered so I snap back to reality. "Remember we're here to kill someone and retrieve an item. You must do this right!"

She's very strict when it comes to mission. All of her mission, she completed it and there's no failure. She's quick and clever that's why she's expensive to hire.

She suddenly gave me a smack on my lips that made me widen my eyes. I looked at her shockingly and I can feel my heart beats faster! She smiled at me sweetly. She looks innocent and beautiful.

"We have to perfect the act kiddo!" she joked.

I frown then she laugh. She knows that I hate her calling me that. She's just a year older than me. I'm taller than her that's why I felt uncomfortable when she's calling me that. Also I saw her as a woman!

I plan to confess to her after this mission!

"Hellooo!" Kernel wave his annoying hands in front of me that made me snap back to reality. "Seems like someone's going down the memory lane!" he's grinning so I just glared at him.

I sighed then give him back the envelope. He look at me as if he has something to say but I just didn't mind it. I know he saw Noreen entering my condo last night that's why he's like this!

I also showed them the letter that I got from Alfonso's pocket and the crumbled picture that I got from that unknown asshole.

"See you soon, Mr. Wilder?" Veign read it then scoff.

"Pft! Hahahaha! You have a very corny, mysterious enemy Mr. Wilder! Hahahaha! So they're now after you? Will you also hide your whereabouts then you're suddenly unsearchable like how dramatic Exseven does?"

And the two of them laugh. They are really weird!

I don't mind them and just told them about what had happened in the court. I also told them what I learned about Franz, that he's a recruiter in Yumi back then. They also told me that they still don't have any information about the two unknown enemies they had caught and killed.

Kernel look at me suspiciously, so I raise my eyebrows to let him state it.

"Is it really a coincidence that you enrolled in that precious school? Or you and Exseven were already secretly planning about it? That all along you knew where he is at nagkikita lang kayo ng sekreto? Hmmm? You don't need to hide it! C'mon spill the tea! Masama akong gaguhin Jaxie..."

He's smiling from ear to ear and his brows are moving up and down but his voice are threatening! He's damn serious!

He must've thought about it because that school has a weird gangs hierarchy. One of the leader, Franz were a member of Yumi before. And Noreen, Clarks lover was also connected to Cath.

I sighed and throw the cigarette buts. "It's purely coincidence! I don't even remember someone named Noreen. Though Cath's background and identity is still unknown to me or to anyone."

I took another cigarette from my expensive case then lit it.

"Yeah right! Matagal na naming pina-research ang tungkol sa kanya dahil sa nangyari sa inyo ni Exseven. Wala naman pala kayong alam sa Cath na 'yan at pareho pa kayong nahulog do'n?"

I'm just glaring at him and unable to rebut because he has a point.

"And they fought because of a girl. Unlike me, I sacrificed my feelings for her so that my leader can have her. Knowing that she already fall for him and I know it can make her happy," Veign proudly stated.

"Hahahaha at hanggang ngayon hindi ka pa rin naka-move on? Come on! Kasama mo kaya ako kapag nag-e emote ka! Nagustuhan mo ba 'yong babe na nakita na 'tin sa club n'on?"

"No! How about you, have you move on from her?" Veign asked Kernel that made him widen his eyes. "That girl you were dating until last year?"

"Pare! Wala akong idea sa sinasabi mo!"

"Hahahaha! You were dating her for five months... you broke up last year."

"Baka gusto mong itikom mo 'yang bibig mo kung ayaw mong isumbong kita kay Lava na 'di ka pa naka-move on sa kanya? Hmm?"

"Hahahah!" Veign just laugh.

I didn't mind them because my mind was still focused to something. When I got out from this place, my school papers, IDs, and backgrounds were already processed by...

"Shit! I remember it was that bitch who processed my papers!"

They both look at me.

"Bitch who?" Kernel asked.

"Violy!"

They both widen their eyes. "What? So you're telling me that all along there's a possibility that ate Violy know something about Exseven and Master's mission?" Kernel hysterically asked.

We looked at each other without uttering a word then both inhaled the smoke.

"Fuck that bitch!"

"She's your saviour! She's not a bitch!"

Moments of silence and we're continue smoking, looking at the scenery and minding each other's business.

"So what will you do to those people you involve?" For the first time, Veign ask seriously that broke the silence.

"Why do you even care?"

"I should care 'cause you're dragging innocents to your problem again!"

I just glared at him unable to say something. I wanted to just punch him even though what he said was right.

"Oh my goodness! What did Exseven think to group us?" he complained then walk out. "I need my popcorns! I'm stressed!"

I glared at this bastard again before turning my back. "I really hate this motherfcker!" I murmured but let him hear it.

"The feeling is fcking mutual!" Veign replied.

I heard his phone rang as I'm walking out. "Clent..." I stopped for a second after knowing who's calling him. Then continued walking like nothing happen.

'Seems they're now friends.'

I walked inside the building and entered Alfonso's room, with Violy checking him. I lean at the door after closing it then crossed my arms.

"So tell me, you planned all of this, aren't you?" I sarcastically asked her.

She didn't react or show anything expressive which made me think that she's already expecting me doing this... and that made me realize that I already don't need her answer.

Clearly, she planned all of this! Tsk!

She smiled when I came closer to them. "You were too slow to notice," she said calmly... Too calm the reason I glared at her. "Now, I guess Exseven already contacted you," she added a statement.

She's really quick to analyze! She even knew that that bastard contacted us.

"It's not just Exseven and Master who received the missions, Jax. I and Hero were included. And If you're going to ask where's Exseven and his father, my answer is I don't know..." She turn around to look at me. "The latest update of them is when Exseven was able to contact you."

I didn't utter a word. Instead, I raise my eyebrows showing her that I'm waiting for her next words.

She looked away then injected something to Alfonso's dextrose. "I and Hero lost contact to them already nine months ago..." she pulled the injection and put it back to her whatever kit then look back at me.

"... the last update from them was they were separated the moment they got caught by an unknown organization that until now Hero's still searching about it. Exseven right at that time... and I guess until now is still on the run."

'What the hell!'

I was stunned for seconds. I cannot believe that bastard is on the run? How come? So that's why he cannot contact us easily because there were searching for him?

"I didn't know he's weak!" I just commented to insult him.

"You can't say that. The enemies were still unknown and we don't know what they're capable of. I and my husband had a hard time searching for intel about them. Even our master didn't give an update. I don't know what happened to them."

I frowned then stare at her. "And what's your reason you enrolled me to that school? Was it because of that Noreen?" She just laugh. Even her laugh is annoying. It's like she's belittling me!

"When Master told us about an individual, me and Hero already did a research about it. And yes, she's Noreen Mendez. We didn't know about it at first that she's connected to..." she look away. "...to Cath, after finding out I decided to put you there."

"Why the fuck is that Violy? When all of you wanted me to change and be an oh-so-kind Jax Blaine, living a new fucking life?" My voice raise when I felt frustrated knowing she just manipulated me.

And my frustration turns to anger when she shows no emotion. She stared straight into my eyes as if she's trying to enter into my soul.

I was taken a back because of that stare but I tried hard to not let my emotion out. This bitch is sometimes scary whenever she's like this!

"Because you and I both knew that you still haven't move on from Cath. I thought you'll be happy to find out one of Cath's relative?"

I blink twice then look away when I cannot find words to rebut. "What the hell are you talking about?" I whispered.

I took a glance at her when she crossed her arms. Her eyebrows were raising up.

"You were with me for two years when you're fighting from your depressions. I was the one who treated and cared for you and I saw you every night staring at her picture secretly while drinking alcohol... even though I forbid you to drink that. You're always crying when you're doing those. I don't think Exseven was the reason why you cried every night so I'm sure Cath was the reason. I told you, I was monitoring you back then. You're suicidal!"

I glared at her because of that thing she said. "Why the hell would I cry for Exseven? And stop bragging things that you did for me. I didn't ask you to do that! What are you? My mother?"

She smiled creepily and tried hard to suppress her laugh which made me frown more. "I didn't really expect your reactions."

She turn around to clean her kit and pick it up showing she's done checking Alfonso.

"I expect different reaction from you the moment you knew about Noreen's connection to Cath. I expect you to be a little glad that you found something about your ex-girlfriend's past. I know you didn't know Noreen, because Hero had a hard time finding that info."

'So why Exseven know about Noreen? Where the hell is he?'

She smiled teasingly. "Well, I guess that cute little lady over there change something to your heart? Her name's Kitkat? Hmmm..." She chuckled.

I can even feel my heart beats faster when she mentioned her. As if I'm glad that she looked like she likes that idiot. Tsk!

"That's a good progress, Jax." She turns her back and was about to get out from the room but she look back at me. "For almost 10 years age gap between us, you can treat me as your big sister. You see... we're family here." Then she laugh!

'Family of weirds!'

"Can you please don't brag about your age? Just have kids instead then brag it again to me!" I replied.

'Family? Big sister? She's nuts!'

I couldn't really understand them. Especially the members of Aeon. They treat me as if I wasn't their enemy before. It's like they accepted me whatever I did in the past. They're unbelievable and weird! Because if I were them, I'm gonna hate my enemy to death.
