Prologue: Musings of the Unseen

"In an unknowable realm, outside the realities of the mortal kin, after thousands upon thousands of years had passed. The Heavens of the Unseen oversaw the corners of the realm of Aerden.

A vivid and magical world full of life with mortals races inhabiting its green, blue, and desert hues. The rich manas of reality blesses its soils, its waters, and most importantly, its creatures.

It was a true paradise for all, the Heavens remaining vigilant against the nothingness of the Beyond.

An Unseen and Unknown being, concealed in black robes of fog obscuring it. Its focus turned to the far distances of the realm, brilliant eyes shining with the golden intensity of prophecies that raced through its ocular orbs.

The Unseen's voice rang with a hallowed and hollow tone. "Interesting ...", it said sight drawn to a trespassing elemental, encroaching the mortal realm. As per duty demanded, it was to descend and prevent, except it would not.

This time it would allow it.

After the Unseen had spent the last millennia guarding the fabric of reality it had chosen today not to act. A whimsical action, as it walked around the palace of its creation, as all things were in its heaven. Reality shaped itself according to its tastes and desires. A throne-like chair of cloudy and celestial matter materialized as it desired upon a surface to lay.

And as it grabbed unto empty space; instead of nothingness. It felt a grasp upon the concepts of reality.

"What else is going on, let's see?" The figure spoke as it moved the shimmering strings of Laws from thin air, connecting them with itself as the colors of the room changed.

Prophecies were of it, as it was them. It had managed to glean insight, its prior hollowness was replaced with childish glee.

"A dragon has woken up, oooh that's not going to be good." A large grin rested on its face; again unseen but for the crescent smile perverting its hallowed self.

"A mutant of the entropic principles has unleashed their potential out on the west, how unlikely now." Curiosity flooded it, yet antipathy overcame it, the ambiance of the room shifted with its mood.

The lights dimmed as the heavens receded, Showings of the cosmos now peered, revealed upon by the fabric of reality as they unraveled from the Heavens. The matter which the celestials had dubbed long ago 'Heavens' now reflected the natural state of the space between all, with no interference from the Heavenly being's presence.

As any time a heavenly or celestial being would manifest upon any and where? These Heavens would be made. And the reason for these Heavens returning to a normal, non-heavenly space, was due to the antipathy it felt towards a certain pantheon and Society.

"The empire is expanding again oh how dull." The Unseen dazed itself, distracting its boredom by searching upon the endless expanse of galaxies that illuminated its palace.

An abnormality shook the foundations of reality, disrupting its ancient mind from musing far into itself. Space warped, reacting unto itself as the different dimensions crashed into one another all across the cosmos. An excess of Manas flowed like tides upon the Mortal world of Aerden.

"Mana waves are at their highest. Hahaha." A mirthy laugh escaped from its now delighted and happy form, recapturing the space around it into its Heavens.

Charts, graphs, and numerical percentages rolled off of the Unseen's eyes. Its glee showed as it gazed through the possible catastrophes that would be or could be and it relished in them.

"I've been doing my job too well as of late. A little bit of change is in order." The Unseen grinned, its face remaining forever Unknown.
