"Your Highness, what's wrong? Are you unwell?" Yuden asked, confused.
"Oh… no, I think I saw Lord Cassius just now," Zahra mumbled to herself, unsure if the young man was there. Her gaze was fixed on the corridor, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Pardon?" Yuden, who failed to hear Zahra, asked.
Zahra glanced at Yuden and shook her head.
"It has gotten late. I think you should head to your palace. I'm sure you will want to have a good night's rest as well," Zahra said smiling.
"I would but… I'm worried. If Layla were to try any tricks, I don't think…" Yuden stopped himself from speaking further.
He didn't want to discourage Zahra who was trying her best to prepare herself for the crown princess's contest.
"I understand your concern. But you know me by now, right? I won't let anyone bully me," Zahra confidently said, reassuring her friend.
