CHAPTER 20 – New Reality of the world 2.

They were in a state of shock by the turn of events, they thought that their leader was the strongest one out there. But who would have thought that an extremely handsome guy would kill their boss even before they could move?

They didn't, at least. It had only been a day since the apocalypse came to their world, and they had yet to see someone who was stranger than their boss, who could cause some cracks in the wall with her bare hands. They had been looting and killing people who passed here the same way they were about to do the new group that arrived.

They were criminals and they were in jail before the apocalypse, except the high school girl. she was them because she was the girlfriend of one of the guys in the group. They had looted and raped two groups that moved from here. Even though those groups could fight and use various abilities, in the end, they ended up dead after their group was done with them.

They thought that this group would be the same, but just as they saw their boss signal them to move and were about to kill the fool of a guy in front of her, he moved. They knew he was godly handsome, but they didn't know he was strong enough to kill their boss even before they could move. The things didn't end there, since another member of their group had his hand cut by the girl with the katana. Now they understood that the guys in front of them were never prey, but it was too late for them.

Haru who had been thinking of what to do made a plan in his mind, then without looking away from the guy who had been ogling the girls with his intentions clear to everyone (though now he was on the ground unable to move from fear), he said.

"Don't let them get away." He said and moved towards that guy in slow and deliberate motion causing the guy to move backwards with his butt still on the ground. When Kazuki and Miku heard his voice, they moved to kill the person closest to them.

Saeko turned back to the guy whose hands were now cut clean from his body, unable to notice that the gun that had been next to her leg was moving slowly in Rei's direction. Kohta had held the gun tighter and was ready to shoot if someone moved.

Shizuka was just standing in her place not knowing what to do, even though she understood that they would have died if they were weaker, she still didn't want to kill someone. Saya also looked towards the delinquent girl as she was closest to her. Kenji was sitting next to Alice keeping her close to himself. Rei also knew that they had to do this, but she felt it would be better not to kill them.

She knew that she had already wronged Haru once so she still did what she could and shot a little thunderspear at the guy closest to her. The guy was stunned and fell to the ground, and Haru nodded inside his head as he had thought Rei would do this.

Takashi, whose mind was in a mess also woke up hearing Haru's command, even if he didn't want to kill anyone. He still moved towards the guy closest to himself to at least pin him down, knowing well that the guy would still be killed by Haru (Hypocrisy of the protagonist).

Kazuki and Miku were taking care of the second in command and the normal-looking lady respectively. The guy had the ability to increase his strength while the lady had the ability to use a windshield around her from where she could kill by shooting her target.

But they soon realized that their opponents were their nemesis. Kazuki used a water spear and pierced the guy's chest, not even letting him get close to her, while Miku didn't give the woman any time to use the gun and simply sunned the woman making the shield go off, then Miku fired a shot from CM9 pistol.

She was given the CM9 pistol since Saya had Kuroneko, but she didn't have anything to give a kill hit (for humans, since it would be too gore for someone's first kill to be by smashing their enemies head to mush).

The delinquent girl that was in front of Saya had the ability to strengthen her weapon as she had strengthened her iron pipe while she raised her revolver to shoot Saya only to be stunned.

Saya used her stun ability, since with that she could stun anyone, even someone of S rank but the duration will be for milliseconds in case it is an S rank. Kuroneko then moved swiftly and clawed the neck of the delinquent girl killing her in the process.

Saya didn't need to say her command verbally as Kuroneko was her tamed pet and even if she wasn't her pet, she could still talk with her mentally.

Haru was also not sitting ideally as he was now standing two steps from the guy he had been staring at while moving the MP7 closer to the guy Rei had stunned. He was using nature or to be precise small grass on the ground to pull the gun from one point to another.

He knew that the guy Rei had stunned was acting to be unconscious while bidding his time for the right moment since the amount of thunder Rei used would only be able to stun a normal person, not an awakened one (though she didn't know that).

"Do you know what you did wrong?" Haru asked the guy in front of him while noticing Rei moving back towards the car thinking that her enemy was knocked out. Haru stopped moving the gun after it was close enough for the 'unconscious' man to be able to grab it.

"I-I-I am s-sorry!!!!! I-I don't want to die!!!!" The man shouted in panic.

"Do. You. Know?" Haru asked again and now he was just in front of the guy while taking his katana out of Scabbard. (He killed their group leader with an Aura blade)

"We shouldn't have attacked you!!!" The guy replied as fast as he could seeing Haru's action. Everyone else also heard the shout and focused their attention on him as they had taken care of their enemies. Even Rei who was moving towards the car looked towards the conversation hearing the shout.

"You were looking at MY women while having the audacity to also think of raping MY women. That is what you did wrong." Haru said while shaking his head. this answer would have caused every girl to get happy but the next turn of events made their minds blank for a moment.

*Bang Bang* *BANG*

The moment Haru cut the guy's head, everyone heard three Gun-shoots. The first two shots were shot by the man who had been lying unconscious while the last and loud shot was shot by Kohta right in the head of that man.

Haru was a little surprised since he thought that the man would shoot Rie and then he would have to save her, but even this situation could be used for the same purpose. So, Haru moved a little to the side and took a hit on the right chest and right hand. It seems like that man had an aiming ability since his aim was on his heart.

"HARUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" x4.

Kazuki, Saya, Shizuka and Miku shouted while running towards Haru. Saeko didn't shout but she was the first to arrive in front of Haru and put a hand on the wound to put pressure on it. She looked at Haru with eyes overflowing with worry as even if she knew that this might be part of whatever he was planning, it didn't mean she would want him to get hurt.

Rei was still stunned on the spot, unable to comprehend what happened, it was when she saw the man who shot Haru did she realize that it was also her fault that this happened adding to her guilt. She still moved towards Haru slowly while keeping her head lowered.

"Let me heal him!!" Shizuka looked at Saeko and said in a hurry, and Saeko removed her hand while nodding her head. Everyone else also looked at him with worry. They didn't know that he took the bullet because he wanted to and thought that he was really shot.

If Haru wanted to then nothing in this world could even touch him, he just needed to open his domain and woosh... everything in the domain is his to control.

Shizuka healed his wound and it didn't take even ten seconds to heal him completely, since it was just a bullet wound. It was then that Rei reached where Haru was which caused everyone to look at her with different expressions.

Saeko didn't show much expression and just continued checking Haru's body for any other injury along with Shizuka, but Miku looked at Rei indifferently while Kazuki looked at her with some anger as this could have caused her beloved to lose his life.

Saya just looked at her in annoyance, thinking how naive she was that her naivety almost made Haru lose his life. She also realized that this might be Haru's plan from the start, making her look at him with admiration and some irritation. Why would he want to risk his life just to teach a naïve girl about the world? But she also knew that she loved him just because of how he was.

Rei could feel everyone's gaze and she felt as if her body was being pierced by those gazes. She had lowered her head so much that her chin was now touching her chest. She felt guilty, no, she felt like dying from guilt. "I am sorry." She said what she felt, as she really felt sorry.

"Are you really?" his reply surprised everyone. They expected him to console her, scold her or even outright ignoring but they never expected this question. Even if some of them had mixed feelings towards her, they didn't mean any harm to her.

"Yes, I really am sorry." Rei was not sure what to say for a while since she also didn't expect this question, but she still replied.

"You don't know this, but I dodged the bullet aimed at my heart right now," Haru said, and those words caused all of them to be shocked. "If it was someone else from the group, do you think they would be able to do the same?" He asked again.

This time Rei's eyes became a little red thinking that she could've become the killer of someone she loved just because of naivety. Yes, she had realized that she was being naïve thinking the world was still the same. Haru felt bad to make her go through this, but it was necessary for her growth.

"So, let me ask you again. Will you ever repeat the same mistake, Rei?" He asked while forcing the word ever.

"No," Rei replied with determination while shaking her head and trying not to cry. She now knew that she shouldn't think of the world the same as before, now the world had changed. The reality of the world had changed. Haru nodded, but he wasn't done yet.

"Then prove it to me." He said while passing the desert eagle to Rei. But his words confused everyone other than Saeko, Saya and Takashi.

Takashi realized that the guy he had been holding would be killed by the girl he had liked since childhood (though he never proposed to her, and he also knew that she liked Haru). He felt complicated but didn't say anything since he still remembered what he had done before.

Rei took the gun with determination and looked at Haru and asked. "How?" Even though she didn't understand what she had to do, she would do whatever he asked for.

She somehow felt that if she didn't do what he asked her to, she might lose him. She still remembers what Saeko had said to them in the bath, she felt bad not being able to have him alone, but she had made up her mind that she would be with him even if she had to share him.

However, she didn't know that even if she didn't do what Haru asked her, he wouldn't leave her. Rather he would think of other ways to change her view since he likes Rei and would do anything to make her see the real world and not die because of her naivety.

"Kill that man," Haru said while pointing towards the man who was now knocked out by Takashi. Rei looked at the man for a while, she knew that he was an enemy, but it was still her first kill. Haru also moved close to her.

It took a while and when Rei's eyes had become determined, she raised her hands along with the pistol and shot the gun….

*bang**bang*

One of the bullets went through the man's waist while the other went through his heart, killing him on the spot. Rei suddenly felt nauseous but then she felt a warm hand on her shoulder.

"You did good, Rei." When she heard the praise, she couldn't take it anymore and the tears that she held till now flowed out of her eyes continuously. She hugged Haru tightly and Haru also didn't reject her and patted her back. Then he turned to everyone else including Takashi and spoke.

"Take care of the zombies that were attracted by the shoots from earlier." Everyone nodded their head and got to work, as at least 200 zombies were moving towards their direction. Though this time Kohta was shining more since he didn't need to worry about bullets for now. He would have killed close to 60 or 70 zombies alone.

When everyone was fighting Rei still kept Haru and now Haru was sitting on the bonnet of the APC with Rei on his lap, causing Takashi to look at this scene with complicated emotions. Rei was not crying anymore instead she was blushing while hiding her face on Haru's chest.

Haru didn't mind hugging her, but he did it while stealing stats from the zombies and granting it to Saeko. It caused her to look at him with a smile and he also smiled at her. Now she was a C ranked awakener while some of her agility might even be C+.

When they were done with the zombies, Haru got down from the Bonnet of the car and let go of Rei who also reluctantly moved away while secretly looking at Saeko who just smiled at her. When she saw her smile, she somehow felt very embarrassed.

"Let's move, we are just some distance away from Takagi estate," Haru said, and everyone nodded their heads then Haru added.

"Also, let's try contacting our parents." He said while looking at everyone and the mood became heavy but they still nodded.

Then everyone set off for Takagi estate.
