Jin Yuchen wise thinking

The Emperor, crown prince Jin Yuchen, Prime Minister Si, and several officials and ministers were in the Imperial Palace, engaged in a discussion to find a solution to fight the deadliest virus.

"Bring the map," the Emperor requested, addressing the head Eunuch Li and instructing him to get the map of the Jin dynasty.

The map consists of the dynasty, mountains, rivers, hills, cities, towns, and lands, including forests and other geographical features. Such detailed maps were typically possessed exclusively by the ruler of the country, the Emperor. However, some more detailed local maps were held by the local governors.

It was also considered a type of military secret, aimed at preventing cunning individuals from other countries from stealing the map and exploiting the opportunity to study routes for potential attacks on their country.

"Today, I have gathered all of you here at this hour to discuss important matters," the Emperor announced, following the arrival of the head Eunuch Li with the map of the Jin dynasty, which he placed on the table.

"Here we can see that our dynasty is fighting the deadliest virus in history. Therefore, we must create an effective plan to protect our people," the Emperor stated with a grave expression. His face appeared sobber and dark, different from the usual freshness and happiness his face had.

When his people were battling the virus for their lives, how could he have peace of mind?

"Winter is approaching, and according to physicians, researchers, and royal doctors, they have stated that this virus tends to multiply rapidly during the cold season. Therefore, within these two months of summer, we must prepare all the daily necessities such as food, clothing, herbal medicine, and others, and send them to the affected areas or regions that will be difficult to access during the winter season. Snow blocks the way and transportation becomes challenging," the Emperor explained.

Prime Minister Si smiled and bowed his head. "You are right, Your Royal Highness. We must find a solution."

"Yes, Your Royal Highness, you are right," another official said.

In this matter, all the officials and ministers bowed their heads, showing their agreement while Jin Yuchen observed them and then turned to the Emperor, who wore a proud smile.

At this moment one thought lingered in his mind, when did his father, the Emperor, start using his brain? It must have been his mother, the Empress, who fed him these ideas.

Otherwise, the entire Jin dynasty would know how selfish, cunning, and cruel the Emperor truly was. He hungered for power.

The emperor couldn't help but notice the disdainful looks directed at him. He felt a mix of anger and sadness, yet he didn't show any reaction and proceeded to discuss what they should do.

"Your Royal Highness, I believe we should construct a bridge or utilize waterway transportation," suggested one of the officials.

Other officials nodded their heads in agreement, finding the suggestion favourable.

"Why should we spend money, resources, and time on such projects?" Jin Yuchen said domineeringly.

The Emperor, officials, and ministers all looked at him.

"I apologize for speaking out, Your Royal Highness, but I believe the idea of utilizing water transportation and constructing bridges is a good one. At this moment, we don't see any other workable idea and solutions," one of the officials respectfully interrupted.

Jin Yuchen glanced at the map and walked toward the middle, smirking halfheartedly.

"How many bridges do you think we should build? Consider how many rivers and lakes we have in our dynasty as you look at this map. Okay, let's keep the idea aside for the time being, and concentrate on water transportation. There are no acceptable river routes here, and travelling by sea would need more months" Jin Yuchen said.

He looked at the faces of all the officials and ministers, and they seemed unsure of what to say. They were at a loss for words.

"Instead of that, within the next two to three months, we can send doctors, physicians, medical experts, herbs, clothes, food, and essential supplies to every province free of charge to the poor people who can't afford them. This virus will impact the economic conditions, so we should instruct all the provincial governors to monitor the markets and put a stop to corruption. Every citizen should be able to purchase goods at the same prices they used to be. No changes should be made," Jin Yuchen explained.

Today, Jin Yuchen had proven one thing the ministers and officials of the Jin dynasty wherewerend intelligent but they did not utilize these skills for the well-being of the common people. Instead, they focused on currying favour with the Emperor, engaging in power struggles, and scheming to maintain their positions and wealth.

The Emperor smiled proudly, as he had expected from his son.

"Now, all of you have heard what the Crown Prince has said. Act accordingly. The Crown Prince will oversee these matters. Each of you should fulfil your duties and responsibilities according to your respective positions. The Jin dynasty has never lost a battle in history till now, and this virus will also be conquered one day," the Emperor announced.

All the officials and ministers nodded to acknowledge the Emperor and exclaimed in the union,

"Long live the Emperor!"

"Long live the Emperor!"

As the night grew darker, some officials and ministers left the imperial palace while others remained to discuss important matters with the Emperor. Crown Prince Jin Yuchen stood beside them, lending his suggestions from time to time.

Suddenly a guard arrived to report a commotion outside the imperial palace.

"Who dares to come to my palace and create a commotion? Are they courting death?" the Emperor roared.

The Emperor hated unimportant visitors to the palace and today, a mere court lady was causing a scene in front of his imperial palace gates.

Filled with anger, he stormed out towards the imperial palace gate.

All the officials, ministers, Head Eunuch Li, and Crown Prince Jin Yuchen followed the Emperor, feeling a sense of fear. The Emperor was ffurioufurious aatthenoneemperor's reaction.
