Gu province highly affected by virus

"Your Royal Highness, our team is still investigating the origin of the virus outbreak. Currently, Gu province appears to be the most severely affected region, possibly due to the recent war and the crisis it has faced. Additionally, the economic condition in the province is also not good" The Health minister reported.

"What?" The Emperor screamed in shock and anger.

"What the hell do you mean by saying you don't know where the virus originated from? What kind of Health Minister are you? If you had paid proper attention to the virus outbreak in its early stages, this situation we are in now could have been avoided. Useless! Remember, if you cannot determine the source and cause of the virus by sundown, I will have you and your entire clan executed!" The Emperor angrily shook his hand, pointing it directly at the Health Minister as he scolded him furiously.

"But Your Royal Highness, It's not my fault. The Doctors and researchers are responsible. They are unable to..." The Emperor rashly cut off the Health Minister when he was about to continue speaking.

"You neglected your duty as a Health Minister! How dare you speak to me in such a manner!" The Emperor stated with anger in his voice "You get out of my sight immediately!".

The Emperor's command echoed through the court hall.

"Your Royal Highness, please have mercy on me. I beg for your forgiveness. I am deeply sorry," the Health Minister pleaded while tears streamed down his face. Despite his desperate begging, the guards forcibly dragged him away from the court hall.

All the officials and ministers were filling sorry for the Health Minister's actions and words. They couldn't believe the display of foolishness, the Health minister had shown in front of the Emperor in a court hall. It was clear that only a fool would engage in such behaviour.

In the capital city, Jin Dynasty palace and other ununaffected provinces rumours of the virus outbreak spread rapidly throughout the palace and among the royal family. The overall atmosphere seemed to be of fear and concern, particularly for the safety and well-being of the children and elderly members of their families.

In the palace, the maids gathered together. In a low voice, they discussed the deadly virus. Among them, some maids showed fear and concern about their families who were in their home town while some were worrying about their safety.

Gu Hui, who is working in the Huxia palace also learned about the virus by hearing some maids discussing the virus topic. As the topic of the virus reached her ears, her thoughts immediately turned to Ah Du.

Questions raced through her mind.

How was Ah Du? Where was she? Is she fine? Ah, Du was the only family she had in this world, and her well-being is Gu Hui's important concern.

Without thinking anything she tries a way to escape from here and find Ah Du.

As Gu Hui attempted to make her escape, she came across a scene of bustling activity. Numerous supplies such as medicine, ointments, water, food, and essential clothing were being loaded onto carriages by the maids of the Huxia palace.

Observing this sight, a realization came to Gu Hui's mind. These goods were likely intended for the citizens who had been affected by the virus. She had the chance to take advantage of this situation and get away from it.

Gu Hui approached one of the maids who was carefully noting down the items being loaded into the carriage.

"Hello," Gu Hui started the conversation, trying to talk with the maid.

The maid glanced at her, displaying a sense of indifference, and then refocused on her work.

"Where are these goods being taken?" Gu Hui asked, hoping to gather information.

The maid responded arrogantly, "Why should I tell you that? Are you some princess or young miss? Judging by your clothes, you appear to be a mere maid." She sized Gu Hui from head to toe and asked "I haven't seen you in the Huxia palace before. Are you new here?" .

Gu Hui nodded in confirmation and replied "Yes, I recently started working in the Huxia palace."

"This is the reason you don't know me. Why are you running here and there? Come, go there and load the things in the carriage. Come on, go!" The young maid exclaimed, pushing Gu Hui further to resume her work.

As the young maid hurriedly pushed Gu Hui, Gu Hui turned to her and politely asked, "Where are these goods going, Madam?"

Upon hearing the respectful address of "Madam," the young maid's face and attitude changed. A smile appeared on her face, and she replied, "It's for Gu Province, which is the most affected region in our Jin dynasty. My heart goes out to the people of Gu Province. They have recently suffered the loss of their royal family, and now they are suffering with this deadly disease."

Hearing this, Gu Hui stood frozen in her place. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. Her mind raced with questions and disbelief.

"But... how? Everything was fine just a few days ago. How could the virus suddenly spread throughout Gu Province and in another province so fast?" Gu Hui asked, her voice filled with confusion.

The young maid nodded in understanding and replied, "Yes, that's the problem. The outbreak of this virus occurred just a few days ago. It is a highly dangerous and rapidly spreading disease."
