Aldina’s Return

YEARS AGO,

Zirkos was sealed, commanders of the Abyss were scattered in different areas of the world.

And in that, Aldina was living her life as a traveler until she was greeted by a princess of a certain country.

Upper Forth Commander of the Abyss, Nayah, Princess of Luna.

"May I know why a princess herself has required me?"

Aldina smirked, glancing at the tree where she was sitting, swinging her legs.

"Aldina, I have order for you from Lord Zirkos,"

"From Master? Yes, what is it, Nayah?-"

And paused, to not act so hopeless for him and cleared her throat.

"But, how? We can't connect to the Abyss, right?"

"He gave this order long ago for you and I believe now is the time,"

Shrugging she got down, pushing her long white hair behind with a graceful smile.

"Yes?"

"I am giving you a village's location, though the man is irrelevant, just to make the scholar there write the Perfection Of Dark Art."

"But, who is going to open the book? Only a purest user could," She questioned, narrowing her eyes.

"I don't know. He wants you to chose your next body after it,"

"Who?"

"A Sheria,"

Aldina couldn't fathom why he would want to hold connections with that bloodline.

She frowned, "Why…?"

"Not only a purest user could open this book but someone from Sheria bloodline can too,"

"Why? How is this possible?"

Her mouth gaped, to think how a mere bloodline could be powerful enough to summon a dragon was questionable.

Seeing her confusion, Nayah laughed a little, revealing the true reason why Zirkos was bellbent after this blood.

"Because the person who sealed Lord Zirkos in the first place was Sheria too,"

PRESENT,

At dawn, there was a certain maroon-eyed man sitting on a rock. His elbow resting on his knee, witness the ravage with a menacing smirk.

Relaxed peacefully, he closed his eyes briefly to recall how perfectly he had wrapped Aldina around his fingers.

The sight of Yor's demise pleased him to the core. How Zephyr screamed his name was miserable.

All of it was So. Fucking. Amusing. For. Him.

He was indulging the so-called melodious sound, recalling his tears until a certain seductive female called him.

"My Lord, I have returned,"

"Hmm?"

Fixing his dangerous eyes on the woman approaching him, she secured her staff behind and stopped before her master.

He extended his hand out with an impish smirk. Getting on her knees, she placed her forehead over his knuckles.

"Your Aldina is back, Master,"

She poured her most heartfelt feelings into her words that evoked discontent.

Arching an eyebrow, he studies how endearingly she held his hand for a few moments.

In a split second, malevolence struck him hard and she was thrown across the air.

Hitting the tree, breaking it along with her bone, staggering her with a heartbreaking sensation.

'What the- what did I do now?'

She thought, absolutely frightened when he got down from the rock.

'I killed Yor, I gave him anguish. Was- was that not enough to please him?'

Her heart began to thump madly against her chest, on the ground.

Unable to move by his overwhelming power, trailing blood from her lips.

"What was the purpose of your existence if it led to the death of my commander, you inferior slave?"

He came slowly, very slowly, noticing how apprehension rushed through her vein, freezing her soul before his dominance.

Shivering, she made a fist from helplessness, voice breaking that her efforts resulted in failure.

She failed to satisfy her master.

"I deeply apologize for trailing off and causing a demise,"

"I demand a replacement," He ordered.

Bending to his one knee to wipe the blood that trailed down from the corner, smearing it over her bottom lips.

"Very well. I shall provide that,"

She gulped, trembling at his touch that could either be affection or proclamation of her death.

"Hmm,"

Exhaling to show he was convinced, he stood up.

Offering her his hand that made her forget about how ruthlessly he broke her bond.

Staring at him with delusion feelings of adoration and devotion, considering the man before as her world, her day and night.

The one to whom she would belong.

She smiled at him as he motioned her to follow him which she mindlessly did… like always.

They got on top of a cliff, from where Zephyr and the village's condition could be seen slightly.

Holding his hands behind his back, he stared at the boy who was crying on his knees, widening his devilish smirk.

"Did you witness a glimpse of his true power, Aldina?"

"The tiniest bit but yes, I did,"

She bowed out of respect, getting on one knee.

Considering herself unworthy to stand in the same ground as his.

Narrowing his eyes, Zirkos tilted his head to the side.

For a moment, a mad, unruly, passionate flicker went through his gaze, as if his anguish would be his uttermost gratification.

He loved it.

Before Aldina could register the sadistic glimpse he shook his head, vanishing it quickly.

"And how can they not exist, he holds my darling's blood after all," He suppressed a dark, alarming chuckle.

She could feel her ground cracking at the statement and asked again for confirmation.

"Your Darling's?"

"A perished tale, leave it."

Not interested nor intending to unveil his true reasons of desiring Zephyr's misery.

"Tell me what they will do next?"

He waved his hand in the air, regaining his nonchalant, vicious posture.

"Reach any nearby town to get themselves treated. Both Jay and Azura need it due to their infection,"

"I see."

Stretching his arms, he moved back slightly, licking his lips in thrill.

The merest thought of pushing him into further devastation was electrifying.

"Let's see how they will get it treated,"

"Meaning you…?"

"Yes, I will leave a fragment of what I did to his beloved Delphia there,"

Running forward, he decided to let his powers loose with his wicked laugh echoing in the air.

"Let's revive that horror,"
