Seeing Yi Ling's reaction, Mu Xin looked at Linyu. Linyu nodded and stretched his hand out.
Vines emerged from his hand and stretched all the way into the ground. The ground shook as it transformed into a much better-looking garden. The vines threw all the rocks out, tilled the soil, and piled it uniformly.
"This garden hasn't been used before. So, you're the first one. I didn't have a reason to do anything with it," he added in his mind, thinking of how his past master wasn't able to see the Blue Rose Palace in time. Linyu sighed.
Yi Ling was happy, though. She finally had a garden of her own. "That's alright, there's always a first for everything," she smiled.
Mu Xin didn't say anything. It was enough for him to see her happy.
-----------------------------------
One month passed.
During this time, Yi Ling would stay inside the Blue Rose Palace during the day to cultivate and study the book that Mu Xin gave her. It was the only place that had spiritual energy for cultivation. At night, she would come back out to eat and rest. Tefei always had raw meat ready for her to cook, so she didn't have to hunt anymore. She didn't have to eat that much due to the spiritual energy inside her. Yi Ling wasn't able to make a contract with Tefei either. He always left when she returned. This puzzled her. She asked Mu Xin about it, and he only said that Tefei was undergoing puberty. When she heard this, her mouth couldn't help but twitch.
Mu Xin was always beside her, no matter where she went inside the Palace. The main hall was the prettiest. There was only one throne in there, made of sapphire jade, of course. He said that since she was the master of this place, then that would be her throne. Yi Ling scratched her head. Why do I need a throne though? she thought but didn't voice it out.
Aside from the east courtyard and the main hall, she wasn't allowed in the west courtyard. Mu Xin explained that it wasn't time. He was still hiding a lot of things from her, after all.
Linyu, on the other hand, took care of the gardens all over the palace, as well as feeding the fish in the pond. Linyu said that unlike Mu Xin, she would be able to call him out of this place anytime she wanted him to come out. He also stated the different uses of his leaves.
Green is for healing purposes. If she added it with other healing spiritual herbs, it would speed up the healing process.
Silver is for Qi cultivation, while pink is for soul cultivation. Yellow is a potent poison, red for vitality, and blue is for spiritual beasts' cultivation.
"You have to mix it with other spiritual herbs. Taking it by itself will make someone explode. My leaves are only for giving you a double result compared to regular spiritual herbs. The effects will depend on which spiritual herbs you mix it with," he explained and couldn't help but rub his nose.
They were in the medical garden. Yi Ling was helping Linyu plant some herbs that she got in the Abyss. Though it wasn't much, she could start with it. Mu Xin said he didn't like gardening, so he went back to his courtyard. It was only them at the moment. She smiled at Linyu.
"That's more than enough. Thanks, Yu'er!" She smiled. Linyu smiled back.
"Yu'er, how long have you been guarding this place?" Yi Ling was as curious as ever.
"I don't remember," he honestly said.
"It's hard to tell; I'm mostly sleeping. My old master didn't have much time for me." Remembering the past, he tightly clenched his fist inside his sleeve.
"How about Mu Xin? Has he always been here with you?"
"No, he arrived only a million years ago."
Yi Ling was astounded. Mu Xin was really old then. She sighed. She had a vague thought about it but wasn't able to confirm with Mu Xin. He always said that when she got stronger, she would eventually know everything about him.
"My old master brought him here," he said.
"Why?" Yi Ling's brows lifted.
"It's his punishment."
"Why is he being punished?"
He shrugged his shoulders, not elaborating. Yi Ling was now more curious. What did Mu Xin do? To be able to trap a very powerful Deity inside a Ring, his past master must have been really strong, she thought.
I tried to change on how I write from this chapter onwards. Less detailed. I noticed that I was too detailed. Lol.
Sorry 'bout the typos and missing words as well. I don't have a proof-reader with me. I fly solo at the moment. I try to read them twice before publishing it. But sometimes I get into the story and forgot to notice my mistakes. Haha.
*slammed head to the wall*
