After a moment of black screen, Shi Sui's face appeared on the screen.
Xiang Yi blinked, feeling a little overwhelmed. He awkwardly waved his hand and said, "Hi."
The light around Shi Sui fell silent. He stood under the streetlamp, clad in a dark black sweater that he had just changed into, which accentuated the fairness of his skin tone.
Shi Sui asked in a warm voice, "Hello?"
Xiang Yi greeted, "Hello."
The curvature of his eyebrows deepened and he asked, "Xiang Yi, have you eaten properly?"
Xiang Yi felt a bit diffident but she still said, "Yes, yes."
"What did you have for dinner?"
Xiang Yi couldn't answer, and she said vaguely, "I-I ate a lot at lunch! The beef cakes smell especially good. I'll make them for you when I get back!"
Shi Sui sighed but he did not expose her.
He merely answered softly, "Aren't you cold? Be careful not to catch a cold."
