Chapter 351 – Recruiting Rei
It was fairly late at night by the time Raven, Mana and the others wrapped up at the Lotus Institute and headed back to the imperial palace. Before leaving, though, Mana pulled aside Rei – the boy who they had interacted with the first time when he had publicly invited them to visit the Lotus Institute and gotten into a confrontation with some nobles. Both Mana and Raven had a very good impression of the boy, and had found him to be rather reliable. So, while Raven was busy putting up the enchanted board and dealing with a bunch of enthusiastic students, Mana took the chance to pull Rei aside and ask him some questions about the teachers and the general situation regarding funds at the school. She set up a privacy ward as she pulled him along to prevent anyone from eavesdropping on their conversation as well.
