The Dream

"What do you think you're doing??!"

A man shouted.

"I should've known!"

Someone was trying to hurt this man. It was a young boy with a sadistic smile on his face.

The boy stabbed him in his arm, but the man defended himself using magic.

"How can a kid be this strong!"

The boy said nothing and just leapt forward, but the man hit him in his pulse points.

"Now you can't move. I will take you to prison."

As the man said this the boy stood up and went for his stomach. He used a special martial arts technique to bring him down to his knees.

"??!"

The man was confused as to how he got brought down to his knees. The boy looked at him with that same smile and said:

"Die."

Weng woke up sweating again.

"That dream again.."

It was the nightmare when his parents died. He took 5 minutes to control his breathing and finally left his bed.

"Can't believe I've been here for a whole year now…"

Weng was furious at himself.

"A whole year without accomplishing nothing. I have no clue where Maria is."

As Weng said this he was holding the amulet he gave her.

After feeling himself with guilt he left his room and go on about his day, but he saw all the other kids having a reunion with the priest.

"Today is a special day. We are going to have practical exams."

Everyone looked confused as he said that.

"I know you all are confused as to why we are doing this, but today marks the birth of our goddess Aelara."

"That is why we have practical exams?"

"Precisely, we are doing this exam for a month."

Everyone was shocked as he said this.

"Our goddess Aelara was known as the Eternal Guardian."

He paused and then continued.

"Aelara embodies the essence of martial perfection, her presence commanding respect and awe. With skin bronzed by the fires of countless battles and eyes as sharp as the edge of her blade, she stands tall and resolute, radiating an aura of unyielding strength. Adorned in armor forged from the rarest celestial metals, her form is a testament to both elegance and formidable power."

"She was the strongest out of everyone in the first Epoch."

"But Aelara is more than just a warrior; she is a guardian, sworn to protect the realms from the encroaching darkness. Her heart beats with a sense of duty and righteousness, driving her to stand against tyranny and injustice wherever they may arise."

"And we will do this to pay respect."

After arriving at the destined place, Arthur approached Weng.

"Hey Weng."

He was tired, dealing with Arthur is a pain, but he has been quiet since that incident a year ago.

"What?"

"I'm sorry."

Weng was baffled, was Arthur apologizing? Weng was caught off guard by that.

"What do you mean by sorry?"

Arthur sighed.

"Because of how I treated you."

"Okay?"

Weng wasn't pleased at all.

"When I saw you talking to Lily I just…"

"Wait, do you like Lily?"

Arthur face was bright red. That confirmed Weng's suspicion.

"I see."

"One question though…Are you possesive or something?"

Arthur was taken aback but responded anyway.

"Not at all I just don't want her to fall for someone else."

Weng thought that that was egotistical, but it fits him.

"Don't worry man i don't like her."

Arthur face shone bright.

"Really?"

"Really."

He felt relieved that Arthur was not going to do anything to him now that the misunderstanding got fixed.

"Oh I've been meaning to ask, but would you like to be my friend?"

Weng was conflicted, just before this he thought he did not want anything to do with him.

After a few moments he responded back.

"Sure."
