Chapter 5: Total Disintegration

[ Take this! ]

As Overhaul shouted those two words, large spikes of dirt and metal appeared on the ground trying to hit Deku.

But all of them seemed to have missed their target.

[ That's it! That's right! Hahaha! ]

[ I'll definitely kill you! ]

[ Only If you can! ] said Deku while laughing maniacally.

These exchanges of words are currently resounding throughout the entire room inside the residence of the EightFold Cleansers.

The room is already nearly destroyed. Walls are now full of cracks, the ceiling is about to fall off and the ground is full of holes.

Below the ground is Overhaul, struggling to find a way to hit his enemy.

On the air is Deku, floating weightlessly while avoiding and dodging the unpredictable attack of his enemy.

It's already been a few minutes since their battle has started. And now, Overhaul is finally reaching his limits.

Realizing this, Overhaul decided to use all his remaining energy to build up an attack that will surely defeat Deku.

[ Haa!!! ] he shouted on top of his lungs.

And then suddenly, all the boulders and metal rods that on the ground came flying towards Overhaul, like he was a magnet attracting all of them.

[ ...! ] Deku, who seemed to be surprised by Overhaul's sudden action, has immediately activated one of his power by lifting a finger.

Not a moment later, the weak appearance of Overhaul earlier suddenly vanished and was now replaced by what seems to be a large monster that was combined with different kinds of materials that were on the ground.

Deku was not expecting this kind of transformation. All he knew about Overhaul's "Overhaul" Quirk was that it allows him to manipulate and destroy everything he touches. He was not aware that his power also allows him to combine the different materials around him into his body.

Now, with Overhaul's current transformation, he was confident that he will be able to defeat Deku.

He looked at Deku with intense bloodlust and anger. His eyes are red and the veins on his head grew larger in size.

[ With this! I'll definitely take you down! ] he shouted towards Deku.

[ ...Oho~... ] Deku only reply by crossing both of his arms.

[ I don't know who you are or why you came here, but you humiliated and angered me enough! I will definitely send your soul to hell! ]

[ Nice~ Nice~ That's a very great face...! ]

[ Tsk! ]

With Overhaul's anger now reaching its limit, he finally decided to get rid of the enemy in front of him at once.

Moving his large body with incredible and unbelievable speed, he dashed to the air towards Deku and readied his large arm.

[ ... ]

As Overhaul looks at Deku's face, he realizes to himself one thing...

That he already won -

And Deku now doesn't have any chance of dodging his attack if he can't even see it.

[ Hahaha... I won! ]

SFX: BAM!!!

Saying those words, his large arm with thousands of spikes on it hit Deku clean at his body.

Deku's body was torn into pieces as it falls off the ground. His blood showered the floor.

The scene was brutal.

[ Haa Haa... ]

*Bam...!

Landing off the ground, Overhaul tried to catch his breath.

He was extremely exhausted. This battle was the hardest he has ever fought; it was not just a dangerous fight, it was also brutal.

The enemy he fought was dangerous. In the end, he wasn't even able to figure out what his Quirk was.

But that doesn't matter - he thought.

Now that he's dead, he does not need to figure it out anymore, all he needs now is to know who he was and who are the members of his family and who are his friends.

He needs to know them so that he will be able to take out his anger towards them.

Thinking about these things, he looks at the body of the enemy he just fought -

Suddenly, one of his servants entered the room catching for breath.

[ Boss! The residence is being attacked! It started an hour ago! and now... half of the Cleansers... has been either killed or captured! ]

[ What...!? Who are the attackers!? ]

[ The... It seems like... the attackers are the League of Villains... ]

[ Wha-What!? Don't take me for a fool! They've already disbanded! ]

The League of Villains. They have already disbanded since their mastermind All for One died after fighting All Might.

The League of Villains has a rather very peculiar relationship with the Residence of The EightFold Cleansers.

There have been a few transactions between the two factions before, but they really didn't help each other when either of them is in trouble and that's because...

Their two leaders are not getting along -

He, Overhaul, and the psychopathic maniac, Tomura Shigaraki.

But for all he knows, Shigaraki, even if he sometimes does unreasonable actions, is not a fool who would attack their base.

At least that's what he thought.

[ Gather all our members! Tell them to immediately get rid of those bastards and do not hesitate to kill them! ]

Without any hesitation, he stated his command.

[ Bu-But! We can't... we don't stand a chance against them...! Their strategies were too perfect... they might've planned this attack for a very long time now... ]

[ Tsk! Just go and tell them that! I don't care whatever happens! I'm the only important person here! We need everyone to sacrifice themselves for me if we want this Residence to survive! ]

[ Tha-that's...! ]

[ Go!!! ]

As his follower finally left the room, Overhaul took off his mask.

[ What the hell is happening...!? ] he muttered inside the dark room.

[ Just who is this person...? ] Asking himself that question, he turned his head towards the body of the enemy he fought with earlier.

...

[ ...! ]

But to his shock -

All that's left there is...

Mud... Black colored mud.

And then suddenly, out of nowhere, while still looking at the place where the body was supposed at -

[ ...Wha-What...? is happening...? ]

Overhaul's vision suddenly turned blur and his mind started to daze.

It feels like...

He was getting melted slowly...

[ Really... What a scary boss you are... ]

[ ...!? ]

Overhaul was surprised to the voice that suddenly came out from behind him.

It was the exact same cold voice with a maniac tone he has heard from the enemy he fought earlier...

Yes, the voice came from Deku...

[ This Quirk really fits yours... It's almost exactly the same... ]

How was he able to survive!?

That question immediately went inside his head.

[ Are you thinking something like... " How was he able to survive?" or something? ] Deku mockingly said.

[ Well... I took it from one of my members... His name is Twice and he's a nice guy... What the hell am I saying... You're about to die so I don't need to tell you about that anymore, right? ]

As he heard of Deku's words, his previous emotions of anxiousness and desperation to save his Residence... has turned only into despair.

The word "Death" appeared in his mind.

[ ...erk... ] he tried to open his mouth to shout his words of desperation... but -

He couldn't open his mouth anymore.

No, he couldn't even think of anything anymore.

The pain is all over his body.

He felt that something hot is touching his back. It was probably the cause of the pain. He thought.

Melting...

Melting...

The word resounded in Overhaul's mind over and over until he realized -

That the Quirk Deku is using against him... is the same as the Quirk of his rival villain...

[ Hehe... You must've realized it by now, right? That you don't stand a chance to survive anymore... for this is... Disintegration... ]
