Kiss

Chapter 6: Kiss

~ Loki ~

"I don't want to hurt you." She said as the tears slowly started falling on her beautiful face. Even when she's crying, I can't deny the fact that she's really a beauty. She looks like a crying angel to me. And I don't mind having the pain if it's because of her.

Shit. Why am I even thinking about this?

"You already did. The pain is part of loving, it cannot be helped." As a matter of fact, I said the words coldly. Masking the pain.

I am so tensed. I keep my hands in my pocket.

Whatever she's about to say, is totally okay for me. I'll respect her decision even if the words she will say are the words like knives that will rip through my heart.

"I want to take the risk." Tears stopped falling on her cheeks. She looks at me seriously.

"What do you mean?"

"That I li—"

Her words have been cut off when someone opens the doors. Both of us are startled when we heard the doors open. We look at each other, shock was very evident on our faces.

It was Mrs. Klein. I saw her holding the keys in her right hand.

"Oh, what a surprise. Someone is here, what are you doing here? Don't you have classes?" Mrs. Klein chirped. She has a very sharp and thin voice. She is our music teacher. She played piano, harp, violin, and guitar. She is old, but not that old. Like maybe, in her late 60's?

She has a light brown color of hair along with gray on the roots of it. She has wrinkles on her eyes and at the corner of her mouth. It shows whenever she's talking. Although, we never expected Mrs. Klein to be here because that's why we are here after all. So, no one will know what we are talking about. And for no one to interrupt our conversation.

Now, I'm curious about what she's about to say. Goodness Mrs. Klein. Good timing.

"Ms. Hart? Mr. Hart?" She asked us.

I furrowed my brows, cringing at the thought of our last names.

"Oh, don't mind us, Ma'am. We are just finding my ponytail, I asked Loki to look for it here, with me. She said it with confidence. She's very good at lying.

Mrs. Klein looks at us both with confusion. But we ignore her and walk out of the room. Barely, because we have nothing to explain to her. She's the one who stole our moment, who stole my chance of talking about it with Era?

What an infuriating Mrs. Klein.

Era gently walks through the hallways. We are walking side by side. And I take a glance at her every little second. I wonder what does she mean by she wants to take the risk? Risk of what? I need to confirm what it means because I don't want to misunderstand her.

So, I grab her hand. Leading her to the back of the bleachers. I walk as fast as I can that it looks like we are almost running.

It's going to be my way every now and then.

"Wait! What are you doing?" She asked helplessly. I made sure I hold her hand firmly that she wouldn't escape from my tight grip.

The class was about to start but it's a minor subject which means no need to worry about it.

Once I let go of her hand at the back of the bleachers, I look around to see if there are people who will see and hear us, she did the same. I sigh from relief when there's none.

"What do you mean you want to take the risk?" I asked right after not wanting any second to go to waste.

She can't look at me. Her right hand is holding her left elbow, she looks shy when she does that. And she's also looking at her feet that's why I can't see her face, I can't look at her eyes.

"What do you mean you want to take the risk?" I reiterated because she might didn't have heard the first one. Now, I'm sure that I said that loudly and clearly.

"How did you know that you love me?" Those are the words she said when her eyes met mine. She seems relaxed now than when we are in the music room. At least for now.

"When I can risk it all just to have you." Her question is very easy for me. A piece of cake. She gasped and looked away. Still, I'm looking at her, so she'll know that those words of mine are sincere.

"Why did you say all those things when you know, I don't like you?"

"Actually, I thought you like me too." She gasped. Looking surprised, maybe she hadn't thought that I would be too forward about it.

"I'm not well aware that you're the type who assumes." She said after she paused for a moment. Her eyes shooting like daggers at me. She wants to appear feisty. I laugh insincerely. She waits for my reply with bated breath.

"I am not," I grunted. And her sarcastic smile faltered.

"Oh, so you're telling me that I have bewitched you to confess first?" Her voice is filled with vexation. But, sadly, for me, she looks hot whenever she's annoyed and sounded surly.

"Did I?" I said it slowly, taunting her next comment.

"You did." She replied fast. Though, I never thought that she will admit it just like that. How cruel she is. Now I am the one who looks puzzled and suddenly my mind stopped thinking. I could not comprehend what are the right words to say after that.

"Loki?" She asked worried now. Blood runs down my face. I'm happy and nervous. I never thought it would be possible to feel certain emotions at the same time.

"Do you mean?" I whispered as I asked, every second feels like in slow motion. Like you can hear every ticking of the clock.

"What?" She asked unsure of her question.

"Did you just admit that you like me?" I whispered out of breath. She looked skeptical at me, of my reaction. I know, I looked very horrible right now. I just can't seem to control the nervousness that filled me. Also, the sweat that forms on my forehead whenever I feel nervous.

I ruffle my hair and exhale.

She looks away.

My hands became cold. Maybe she's still confused, unsure of the consequences if she will admit that she likes me. Intensely, I tried to reach for her face so she will look at me, and she will see that there's no need for her to worry because I got her.

The moment I'm about to reach for her face was the same time she looks at me with those eyes. Those eyes are telling me she like me too, telling me she's scared to admit it, but she does.

I step forward. Closing our gap.

And then I gently hold her face, lifting it, so I can look deeply into her eyes. We look at each other for a wonderful moment. Our eyes reflecting each other. No words. Just stares. Damn. She looks very attractive. She looks like she wanted to be kissed.

I gave her a second before I close the gap of our faces. I waited for her to stop me from kissing her, but she didn't make the slightest movement to stir and go away. To stop me.

So, I did my way.

I kissed her.
