The Empire of Arcadia

In the far-distant future, humanity has regressed. Modern civilization as we know has crumbled and died. The world, as we knew, has been blasted out of space and adopted by another host star. And from the ashes of the old world has come forth a new one. The Empire of Nydorekith. Named after its founder, has captured much of the old world, but due to inner strifes and conflicts, their most beloved and adorned general, Tei'hi. Has defected, with a handy crew, they set out for the new World. A world that they know little about, apart from one of their members. A world that which they only know through songs of their grandparents, and their grandparents' grandparents. Almost mythical, is the continent of Arcadia.

The Ships and Artillery of the Arcadian Navy

As a response to the naval superiority harbored by the Sicilians, Astrian, Lui-eya and his generals have devised a ship that would put up a massive fight against the numerically superior fleet. The first five ships of the Arcadian Fleet. The Luminous, The Midnight, The Dawn, The Audacious, and the Vert.

All ships have a similar design, save for The Luminous with a slightly larger hull than the others to accommodate its specialty of launching bombers.. The ships have a displacement of 3,500 tons. And their length is, on average, 70 meters long. Their beam length is 15 meters, with a depth of hold of 6 meters, and a draught of 9 meters.

The ships have a top speed of 15 knots, powered by sail, it is further enhanced due to the use of wind magic as a means of propulsion. It is heavily armed as well, save for the onboard artillery which will be discussed later, the ship has a small runway clearing on both sides of the deck which can be used to launch bombers for preemptive attacks. Each ship would have 100 bombers at its disposal.

As most of the ammunition used by the artillery, as well as the artillery itself are under the deck, the hull is to be constantly drenched in protective magic to prevent the triggering of the ammunition which could lead to the subsequent explosion of the hull, followed by the entire ship.

Speaking of artillery, the usage of artillery is limited to its maximum range of 10 kilometers. (Anything further would be too inaccurate for effectiveness.) It is a hollow iron chamber with a pocket of air at the very back. This pocket of air would be manipulated by specialized mages, fixating air pressure into a tiny, sealable hole inside the air pocket. Once this hole has been opened, the pressure from the air will propel the canon through the air at high speeds. It has decent accuracy, and specially deadly at closer range. Although research is being conducted upon the shape of ammunition themselves to warrant more accuracy over higher range.
