Chapter 42 - Golden Aura's Might

Camille quickly raised a water wall to defend herself against Wilson's attack. The collision of their powers was so intense that it caused the space to tremble slightly before dissipating, leaving no indication of who would emerge victorious.

Camille didn't wait long to retaliate. She summoned two Elemental Circles in front of her fists and shouted, "Tidal Fists!"

Two gigantic water fists emerged from the Elemental Circles. They headed straight for Wilson, causing other Elementalists in the restaurant to be impacted by the strength and destructive power emanating from the giant fists.

Now, in his demonized form, Wilson swung his giant sword with incredible speed, unleashing a retaliatory attack in the form of a whirlwind.

The two elemental powers clashed again, but the impact was more severe this time, causing part of the restaurant to be destroyed. Fortunately, most Elementalists witnessing the battle used their aura to protect the surrounding area.

Elion was caught off guard but his golden aura played an unexpected role in the current situation. He knew his aura alone could not withstand Wilson and Camille's combined destructive power.

However, something amazing happened. It helped by resonating with other auras to strengthen and fortify the auras of other Elementalists thus able to withstand the impact.

The onlookers were perplexed by what they saw, and several Elementalists asked, "What's happening? How can our auras be powerful enough to restrain their destructive auras?"

They couldn't believe it. They had this wild thought where the pressure of the situation had enabled them to make a breakthrough in Elemental Mastery.

Camille also noticed what was happening. At this moment, an idea crossed her mind, something she wanted to try later with Elion.

For now, she was still able to contain Wilson's onslaught. So, it would be better for Elion's strength to be used to assist others.

Wilson managed to neutralize Camille's two giant water fists. He then swiftly moved forward. Two Elemental Circles appeared on the soles of his feet. This technique granted Wilson wind power, increasing his speed several times over.

Wilson aimed his giant sword directly at Camille's heart. Not content with that, his sword was wrapped in a thin but dense layer of wind elemental energy, making the blade even sharper.

"Aero Edge!" Wilson exclaimed with a voice that matched the terrifying aura emanating from his body.

Camille crouched down and made a sweeping motion from bottom to top, "Tidal...Wave!"

A powerful and massive burst of water emerged from the restaurant floor and engulfed it. This attack caused Wilson's sword to veer far from its original target.

Camille's body bent backward, almost touching the floor as Wilson flew overhead, wielding his giant sword.

Camille's fingers came together, forming sharp-edged whirlpools of water. She unleashed her signature move with a mighty cry, "Tidal Drills!"

As Wilson passed over Camille, the water drills rapidly attacked his chest with precision, sending him flying into the air before crashing to the ground with a loud and terrifying sound. The impact caused several Elementalists to lose their balance and fall.

"Crazy..." Rowan and Andre were both amazed by Camille's incredible power. Despite her gentle appearance, she possessed extraordinary strength, which impressed Elion equally.

Looking around, Elion walked calmly towards the waitress who had fainted, not wanting anything to happen to her. His composure piqued the curiosity of Rowan and Andre, who looked at him full of questions.

Rowan asked Andre, "Who's that man?"

But even Andre had the same question, and they were left without an answer. Conversely, Elion has an exceptional ability to remain calm in such a tense situation.

Jack had had enough of the chaos and decided to get Ron and his friends out of the scene. He even slapped Ron in the face to make it clear that he wouldn't tolerate such behavior.

"I can't believe it! You're nothing but a worthless brat! It's because of you that your father turned out this way! I had no idea he was in league with the demons!" Jack reprimanded.

"Now, not only will he be hunted by the Elementalist, but all of us from the Rogan Family will be accused of betraying humanity!" Jack added, his tone laced with frustration and fear.

Jack's anger had reached its boiling point. As long as Wilson's secret remained hidden, there was nothing to worry about. However, too many people knew the truth now, and there was no place left for them to hide.

Who would believe their explanation?

The only solution the Elementalists could think of was to eliminate all of them. If the Patriarch was a traitor to humanity and had formed a pact with demons, the entire family would be branded the same.

Ron and his friends were gripped by fear as they realized their arrogance had led to a disaster that could destroy their entire family. "Let's get out of this town," Ron said nervously. His friends nodded in agreement, some even breaking down in tears.

Ron couldn't express himself anymore. One of his friends had sent a message to their families. Now, family members were rushing to escape from the large Rogan residence.

They didn't care where they were headed; they wanted to leave and abandon their identity as Rogan Family members. Others chose to remain since they knew they wouldn't be able to escape if they were pursued later.

After the dust had settled, it was apparent that Wilson's massive body lay motionless on the ground. Camille breathed a sigh of relief as the battle had been quite challenging.

Although not an original Level 40 Elemental General, Camille's Elemental Might made it all possible. She had also used a lot of elemental energy.

Camille turned to Elion and flashed a sweet smile of victory.

However, Elion still felt uneasy and watched Wilson's stiff body. Something was amiss. His intuition was correct. Suddenly, Wilson leaped up and thrusted with his hand, gathering all the remaining demon energy in his demonized hand.

The thrust was aimed directly at Camille's back. Elion, who had been alert since earlier, moved quickly to protect Camille. He closed his eyes as Wilson's dark aura and attack collided with his golden aura and body.

Elion's luck had prevailed as his golden aura extinguished Wilson's demonic aura. Elion now faced an attack with the physical strength of an Elemental General or a half-Demon General.

Even though he had been practicing body tempering from the Phoenix Sutra and the Ancient Combat Arts, Elion never knew to what extent his physical strength was.

However, at that moment, he could only think about ensuring Camille's safety and his body reacted instinctively.

Is this the end for me? Will my life end like this before I even begin my journey as the successor of the Phoenix, defeating demons and searching for my parents? Elion lamented silently.

However, what he had expected did not come to pass. Elion opened his eyes to see Wilson's surprised reaction to what had happened. Rowan and Andre were equally stunned. Looking at his own body, Elion realized that everything remained as before.

There were no injuries or wounds, and Wilson's demonic hand could not penetrate Elion's arms that were blocking the attack. Elion himself was astonished by what was happening.

"Elion!" Camille's cry snapped him out of his daze. She launched a powerful kick toward Wilson, sending him flying five meters away.

"Golden aura!" Camille exclaimed, sensing Elion's confusion.

"Remember how your golden aura made the dark aura inside of Wendy flee in fear before it was obliterated within her body?" she asked, trying to jog his memory.

Camille was thrilled as she exclaimed, "The same thing happened again! The dark aura was blocked and destroyed just now! Our enemy is a demon, so his dark aura won't be able to touch or affect you."

This realization was a turning point for them. It finally clicked for Elion. The Phoenix's golden aura was remarkable as it was an enemy to demons. Since Wilson's body had become partially demonic, Elion could match him using the golden aura.

Additionally, Wilson's family was ordinary, and he only sought elemental power, neglecting other aspects. As a result, despite being a Level 40 Elemental General, his physical body wasn't exceptionally strong.

"I have an idea. Create a large golden Elemental Circle in front of me! As big as possible. Quickly!" urged Camille.

Elion nodded in agreement and followed Camille's instructions. A massive golden Elemental Circle appeared before Camille, significantly more significant than any circle Elion had previously created. Camille then generated an Elemental Circle that matched the size of Elion's circle.

A powerful punch was directed towards her circle, and a giant fist of water elemental power formed again. It was many times larger this time, and Camille shouted, "Tidal Fist!"

The fist passed through the golden Elemental Circle, and surprisingly, the golden aura enveloped the giant fist. Camille's plan was successful.

The massive fist moved swiftly toward its target, and Wilson faced the attack head-on without a hint of fear. He was confident that his demonic power was formidable, as demons were known to be powerful beings.

However, his assumption was way off. He couldn't even block this attack. The aura emanating from this fist was unique, and the Elementalists who witnessed it were amazed by its power. It opened their eyes to the true potential of elemental energy.
