Sneaking inside Duke Li's Room

"Lady Wang, are you certain this is alright?" Wang Rouyun's personal attendant said just as she followed the General out of the mansion. It was her first time seeing the general this mad and she was scared that Wang Rouyun would do something careless again.

Wang Rouyun immediately turned around at the sudden remark. Her eyes widened as she took a couple of steps back. A small dagger appeared in her hands. Almost immediately, a fire enveloped the fire.

"General Wang… I feel offended." The man before her smiled while shaking his head. "You sneak into my room and now you actually attempted to kill me."

"You—"She didn't want to kill him! However, the posture and the fiery dagger seemed to contradict what she wanted to say. She immediately cleared her throat. "How did you…"

That's right.

The man standing before her was none other than the Duke.

It was Li Qiang.

"How did you sneak up on me like that?" She used her elements to check the room earlier and she was a hundred percent positive that no one was there. Wang Ruoyun was very confident in her tracking abilities and they never failed her before.

"What are you talking about, Lady Wang? I was standing here the whole time." There was a smile on Li Qiang's face. A smile that didn't reach his eyes.

"Impossible!"

Li Qiang shrugged in response.

Now that she got a clear look at him, Li Qiang was standing as still as a pole. He was wearing an item of all-black clothing and for some reason, it looked like he was blending. Was there something wrong with her eyes?

No, wait.

She couldn't even feel Li Qiang's breathing!
