CHAPTER 1 THE ATTACK OF CHARLIE

Mom's pov

Casey, Casey, Casey

I called from my room.

"yes mum, am coming"

"Quickly call the hospital, fast. Honey please don't do this to me, please, don't go now. Not now that Casey is about entering college. please God don't take him away from me."

(Casey in the kitchen, using the telephone to contact the hospital,all of a sudden an arrow from nowhere,hit the phone and it shattered on the floor.)

"OMG!! what just happened" Casey bent to pick the phone but her hand started bleeding.

"Mum,mum". she called in the midst of tears as she ran into her mother's room.

"God Casey what happened to your hand?" I asked her immediately she got into my room.

"I tried calling the hospital, when an arrow came all of a sudden and hit the phone.It got scattered, and I tried picking it up but my hand started bleeding."

" God don't let this happen"

OH YEAH, BUT IT'S ALREADY HAPPENING

" Was that you".I asked Casey.

"Oh mum don't be ridiculous, how can I say that."

THAT WAS ME

"Please who are you and what do you want from us."I asked in fear.

I AM CHARLIE, THE GODDESS OF DARKNESS. MEANWHILE, I DON'T WANT ANYTHING FROM YOU, BUT I WANT SOMETHING FROM HER(she said while pointing to Casey)

"From... from me" Casey asked, and I could see she was extremely scared die to the way she is trembling.

YEAH FROM YOU

"Ok, what do you want from me". Casey asked her.

GIVE ME YOUR POWERS

"Powers?!!".I asked in surprise as I looked at Casey.

"Which powers if I may ask."

DON'T TRY TO DENY IT

"Casey do you have any power?".

"Mum I don't know what she is talking about. I don't have any power am just an ordinary girl."

DON'T BE RIDICULOUS, YOU DO

" I don't". Casey said getting irritated. I sat still watching the drama as it unfolds. Am still wondering where on planet Earth would Casey get such powers from.

SEE CASEY DON'T LET ME LOOSE MY TEMPER. I DON'T WANNA HURT ANYONE. JUST GIVE ME YOUR POWERS AND THAT'S ALL. Casey's eyes changed from blue to complete white.

I DON'T HAVE ANY POWER. Casey said in a hoarse voice.

I TOLD YA. Charlie said to me. I was so stunned at Casey's new outburst.

"Casey". I called her softly.

" Yes mum" she replied softly as her eyes became normal.

"Do you have any power"

"Yeah mum"

"Where did you get it from".

"I don't know. I discovered it when I was 3".

"What!! when you were 3. oh no God please tell me this isn't true."

" Mum what happened, do you know how my powers came to existence."

" Yes I do, but I never believed it at first,OMG."

Casey looked at Charlie who was drinking a glass of red wine.

WANT SOME.

"No thanks, now get out of my house."

NOT UNTIL I GET THE POWER.

" See, don't let me waste you and your precious time,just get lost."

(Getting annoyed) I CAN SEE THAT YOU HAVE LOST SOME NUTS, I WILL HELP YOU FIX THEM. she made a fire ball and threw it towards Casey, but she was fast enough to destroy it with her ultraviolet light from her eyes. Charlie being fast made an arrow of fire, but unluckily it passed Casey and came straight to me. Before I could get out it struck me on my chest.

OH NO MUM!!!!!. Casey screamed,as she stared at me. I gave her a weak smile and muttered"I will wait", before she turned back to Charlie with her eyes completely white.

HOW DARE YOU HIT MY MUM. She said as her voice echoed in the house. Charlie looked scared but she hid it perfectly.

I DIDN'T MEAN TO HIT YOUR MUM, IT WAS MEANT FOR Y... before she could finish her statement Casey drew lightening from her index finger and struck her with it. Charlie staggered backwards because of the impact and hit her head on a metal frame. Casey turned back to her mum.

"Mum, please, can you hear me, mum." she said trying hard to fight back her tears.

" ca..s..s..ey". I called weakly.

"yes mum I'm here." Casey answered while holding my hand.

"your power was given to you by your godmother. she said that you will rule the kingdom of fairies of the sun and stars. you are meant to protect people and not to do evil. Anyway you have a twin sister (coughs) but she was taken away from me at birth. I want you to find her and tell her that I love her. promise me you will do so."

Casey's eyes were filled with tears, she just nodded.

" Yes mum I will. I promise, but please don't leave me. Dad is gone already, please don't go,I will be so lonely in this miserable world."

" Casey (coughs)you have to endure this, don't ever look back, C'mon smile my sweetie. I said trying to cheer Casey up.

"Why should I smile when my mum is about leaving me?,Mum, please I love you and I don't want to lose you, please don't go"

" I won't leave you,I will always be with you both. Remember to tell your twin I love her and will always do. I love you Casey ( breathes her last)"

OH LORD! NOOOOOOOO MUM!!! PLEASE COME BACK PLEA...SE!!

CASEY POV

OH LORD! NOOOO MUM!!! PLEASE COME BACK PLEA....SE!!

I screamed out my lungs while I shaked mum's body. No mummy please you can't leave me, I love you.you can't go now. I moved and held my dad's body . No daddy, mum has come to meet you tell her to come back. please you both should come back,am so lonely, so helpless, please.

I raised my mum's head and placed it on my chest. I felt a very deep cut that seems as if it won't heal.

OH LORD PLEASE HAVE MERCY AND BRING THEM BACK TO ME.

I cried so much that I didn't notice Charlie was standing by. I turned and faced her with tears in my eyes. I was so helpless at that moment and felt like dying too.

"C'mon what are you waiting for, kill me the way you killed my parents, go ahead do so cause life is so useless without them.

AM NOT GONNA KILL YOU, BUT I WILL BE BACK FOR YOU. She said and disappeared

"No, don't fucking go, come and kill me. I don't want to live again, I want to join them. Noooooooooo!!" I screamed while pulling my hair." No mum you're just kidding, stand up and let's prepare dinner. I want to eat my favorite pecan pie. I said sarcastically,then let out a horrible laugh.

MUM PLEASE STAND UP PLEAS....E

I slumped on my mum's body and cried. I cried out my eyes. My phone started ringing, I looked at the ID and saw the name Lee love. I didn't pick up although I need someone to share this heavy burden with. Lee is my boyfriend since grade 7. The phone stopped ringing and started all over so I decided to pick up.

"Hi" I said trying to hide my emotions but couldn't.

"Hey Casey, what happened" he asked worriedly

"nothing" I said trying to sound good

"it can't be nothing. you are crying"

"but I'm ok now"

"no you're not. I'm coming right away"

" don't...."I was about saying don't bother but he had hung up.

Oh Lord. I tried calming myself but I couldn't so I let the tears fall freely down my face.

Five minutes later I heard a soft knock on the door and I knew it was Lee. I quickly wiped the tears off my face and took a long refreshing breath before going for the door. I opened the door and saw this what-the-fuck-happened look on his face.

"What happened Casey" he asked as he cupped my face in his palm."you're crying and your temperature is high,so don't tell me that everything is ok because I won't believe you.

I couldn't say anything, I started another round as I fell on his broad shoulder. I really need someone to cry on.

"no matter what might have happened, you don't have to come cry like this. I stopped and moved back to look at his face clearly. straight into those innocent deep blue eyes then shuck my head."you won't understand" I said and burst into tears. "Mum, Dad" I managed to say as I pointed towards their room.

Lee ran into the room and I followed him.

"Oh my Lord what happened" I narrated all that happened including my powers and my twin sister.

"so you really have supernatural powers and a twin sis"

"yeah"

"but why didn't you tell me"

" I was scared that's why"

" C'mon dear" he said and cuddled me. " don't cry again" he whispered into my ear, but I couldn't help it so he took me out of the room to mine.

"I'm so sorry" he said calmly though his eyes are filled with unshed tears but he held it back. He is also an orphan and my parents took him as the son they never had. We sat in the bed still cuddling ourselves. Few minutes later he picked his phone and called the ambulance. In fifteen minutes the ambulance came and carried my parent's corpse. I was so pained that I refused to look, so I hid my face in Lee's chest while he held me close.

"I'm going to miss them" I said soberly

"me too"

Immediately the ambulance left, we followed them to see where my parent's corpse would be placed. We got to the cemetery and I watched how they placed mum's body next to dad's grave. I screamed and wanted to jump into their grave but Lee held me so close. I cried on his shoulder as I walked to their graves. I dropped flower I came with on their graves and cried so much until Lee pulled me up we went home.
